I am requesting prayers on behalf of a coworker of mine who passed away this week…well, really, for her family. Colleen hired me on the job & was an amazing encourager & inspiration to everyone I work with. She’s had cancer for 7 long years & pushed through the most grueling treatments with her sarcasm & humor…very independent & not at all afraid to joke about the side effects of her medicine. She lived alone & was by herself when she passed out in her bathroom last Wednesday or Thursday morning. We were all concerned when she didn’t come to work so the cops went to her house to find here there. I think what makes most of us sad is the fact that she was so independent & would want anyone to worry about her….so she was alone when it happened. Monday morning she passed away with her brother & sister by her side.
** In other news **
How about that election? Even though it went differently than many of us would have liked, it’s no reason to be angry when it’s in God’s hands. Confused? You bet! I don’t see how we can elect someone into office that we know virtually nothing about. Pretty scary if you ask me! With all the praying we were doing, it is evident that this is God’s plan….be it good or bad. A milestone for America is what it is, & even though I am no fan of the new Prez elect, I’m interested to see what will pan out in the coming years.
How about counting our blessings to end this sad post!
~ I am blessed with a husband that surprises me with flowers & cards because “it’s a Tuesday & I love you”
~ I am blessed with friends that I can have fun, secret conversations with & laugh until our stomachs hurt
~ We are blessed with a loving God & a massive family that we will get to spend eternity with
~ Blessed with health to go to work, see the beauty of the world, hear our favorite songs, smell holiday smells, & feel the warmth of friends near us
….and those pictures are coming…I promise!
Happy Wednesday!
The countdown has begun! Exactly 17 days from today….really?!
Saturday was my first shower at the Haley’s new house, with the ladies from church. It was a bridal tea & was loads of fun! Everything was beautiful, the food was delicious, & we got some great stuff from the wonderful ladies at Valrico! This coming Saturday my sisters & cousins are giving me a family/friends shower….I have a pretty big family & a handful of friends that don’t go to church so we had to do a separate shower. I’m not complaining, though! My sister & new nephew get in tomorrow & I know time will fly with them. I am so excited!!
So, I’m gonna try to put some pictures on here…..uh oh! These are our engagement pictures that our fun photographer friend, Kyle, took at the University of Tampa. Yes, my hair is an afro cause it rained all day.
This is my moms favorite one….she said she was going to frame it!
My ring….I think this is a sweet picture
In the rain….
I just think this is cute!

I believe we are laughing at the fact that I cannot do serious faces……like……AT ALL.
Just 17 more days & I promise I won’t talk anything wedding!! There is more to my life than that….I promise!

Very sweet pictures! Lots of "Taco Bell," huh? ;-) So happy for you! All I have to say about the wedding is to enjoy every minute of it with Jeremy, b/c it sure does go by so quickly! I'm sure it will be beautiful!
AHHH!!!! I love the rain pic! I don't know where in Costa Rica, I know we are staying in the jungle for 3-4 days, zip lining down the Rainforest, going to a coffee plantation, and more! HAVE A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING!!!!
You were a BEAUUUUUUUTIFUL BRIDE! I love you & am so glad it worked out to come. You all will be so happy...I'm thrilled for you! Have fun in Costa Rica! MWA...squeeze!
Jeremy just passed his 300 question test for paramedic school!!
This past year has been a stressful one for both of us….paramedic school wasn’t easy, but the fact that his job relied on him passing this test just added another elephant to the load. We didn’t even want to think about what we would do if he didn’t pass, but it was staring us in the face. Now we don’t have to worry!!
*Sigh of RELIEF*
