UPDATE: They did a colonoscopy today & found a section of the intestines that was irritated. They decided that he is well enough to go home this afternoon . . . I guess they are assumming it was a bad case of food poisoning they will continue to treat with antibiotics. Thanks for your prayers!
My cousin, Chris Huffines, had to be admitted to the hospital today. He's had what they thought was some sort of stomach virus and went to the dr. Friday and was told he possibly had e-coli or an intestinal parasite, not a virus. He gave him strong antibiotics and had him come back in today for a re-check. The dr. decided he needed to go to the hospital for IV fluids & maybe be evaluated by a gastroentorologist. I'm sure he'll be fine . . . but no one likes to be in the hospital. Pray for his speedy recovery!
Last night, after Chris & I put Wyatt to bed, we sat down on the couch to watch some of the shows we had on DVR. Wyatt was quiet for awhile so we thought he had gone off to sleep. He missed his nap yesterday & fell asleep on the couch (which he never does) while I was cooking supper. Probably 20 minutes or so after we thought he fell asleep, we heard him talking over the monitior. We switched over to the camera we have in his room and heard the following:
"God our fader, God our fader, once agin, once agin, we bow to tank you, we bow heads to tank you. (Folding his hands) I wanna pay for Noni and Poppa, I wanna pay for Ginnmomma and Poppy and Bubba, AAAAAAAAAAAmen."
This is the bedding we bought today! Wyatt is going to have a little seester . . . he is too cute saying it and so proud!!
Baby seester doesn't have a name yet . . . we'll have to think on that for awhile! She is showing her little personality already - she wasn't very cooperative today at the ultrasound. About the only thing we were able to tell is that she is a girl! She is facing my spine, so we don't have any good profile shots of her and the technician couldn't get some of the measurements she needed. I get to have another ultrasound in three weeks to try again on the measurements they need. We did get to see her open & close her mouth when she turned her head once . . . we are definitely blessed!
Wyatt was the hit of the doctor's office. He really talked up a storm to the ladies that work there and had them laughing in the lobby!
Well, you have plenty! I catch myself getting stressed out since I don't have a name (I say "I", because my husband gets no opinion this time around) and since I'm not finding out well, I have to have two girl names and two boy names. STRESSFUL! But not stressful enough for me to find out!
How very wonderful! I have to still pick out my bedding now. I really want Peter Rabbit bedding and stuff but I can't find it anywhere yet. I will have to keep looking.
So glad I can enjoy the relief of our baby's being healthy. CONGRATS!!
Thank goodness for a busy weekend! My soundtrack this weekend would have been Flight of the Bumblebee or The Lone Ranger Theme song only because I felt like I was rushing from one thing to another. . . Here's a replay: Friday was my major grocery shopping trip for the month (payday is gone as quickly as it gets here!), home for lunch & a nap, fixed a quick dinner and went to a shower for a friend where I lost myself in a chocolate fountain!
Saturday was group meeting (yummy breakfast!), playground, home for lunch & a nap, housework, fixing supper & preparing for Sunday! Sunday we were up at 6:00, ate breakfast, got myself & Wyatt ready for church (still almost late even though we were up early, go figure?), picked up my dad & brother after church, ate lunch & went to the science center where they had model trains on display. Wyatt absolutely loved the trains! I'll post pictures as soon as I get them loaded. Then back to church for Bible study and home for dinner & bed! Wyatt was so tired last night . . . he was just like I left him when we woke him up this morning for preschool. I think today will go by just as fast . . .
Tomorrow is the big day as long as baby cooperates! Most of all, I just want to see a healthy, growing miracle in there! God is so good! Sorry, I've probably bored you with this post . . . Stay tuned for the announcement tomorrow!
I better be pretty high up on that call list....I can't wait to hear! I hope she/he is very healthy more than anything!!
And...I don't think we need to wait for another shower to fire up that chocolate foutain again. I think that sounds like something fun to do for a fun Friday night with the girls!
I am thinking of you this morning as you had the earlier appt.! I am CRAZY busy tonight when I get home and might not post again until tomorrow morning, but I am so excited for us...talk to you soon! :)
