Despite the rain Dustin and I did go camping on Friday night. It was nice. A little chilly but still nice. I forgot my camera so no pictures. As we sat around the fire talking it really got me thinking about a couple of things but I will just share one of them with you now.
It's five weeks and three days until our third anniversary. Dustin has been part of my life for almost five years this month. You would think that after all this time my family would accept him and love him. It is really sad. It breaks my heart when Dustin says "why don't they like me?".I don't know anyone who doesn't like Dustin. He is great guy who is always willing to help, he likes to do a lot of fun things, he is very supportive, he is very genuine and loyal. Most of all he married your me and has made me very happy. Why would you still not like him? I really don't know why someone wouldn't.
I know some times it's hard to blend two families and I had my share of troubles with Dustin's family but that all worked out and we all love each other now. I couldn't imagine my life without all these "new" family members.
I do pray that with the passing of time they will learn to love him. I can wait.
Thanks for reading this. : )
Have a wonderful Monday!
Dustin is a good friend and I can tell a great husband to you. I pray that over time they will see him for what everyone else knows of him...a good Christian fellow that loves his woman! :)
Aw, Angela, I cannot even imagine what you are going through - to love him so much and want him to be loved and accepted by your family. My guess is that it has nothing to do with you or him, and that is why nothing has changed. Keep your chin up, keep praying and hoping, but know that that is the very reason that God created the church family. Jesus said that He would give us a family greater than our earthly family. Hold onto that. Hugs,
I love Dustin and I am so glad that he married you! But, I do know how close you are to your family and I know that this really hurts you - I love that you care so much. Time can really change alot of things so I will keep this in my prayers. :)
I love that God allowed you two to come together. You are a good couple...good for each other:) God is so good and He will answer your prayers regarding family:)
Sounds like you had a really nice camping trip. Maybe we could all go camping together sometime. I love to camp. Sarah and Avonell have been camping, but they don't really remember it.
You two are always in my prayers. I am sorry your family cannot see how happy and content the two of you are. Someday they will come around. Love you both and miss you.
I am sorry for the tension in your family. It is one of those things that is hard for people to understand. I think that we have all be through similar situations with in our lives, but I know that you understand that when you have a great, and good, and worthwhile thing in life trials will come. Keep the faith and never give up for our father said that he didn't come to bring peace but a sword. We Love you both very much and if there is anything we can do just let us know.
So for the past month I have kind of been in a funk. I really wasn't the best company so I'm glad everyone kind of dealt with me especially Dustin. I am so blessed to have all that I do.
These next couple of months are some exciting times. Courtney is due to have her baby soon!! My sister is due to have her baby in a couple of weeks! My favorite holiday ever is about a month away. We will have some out of country guests. Dustin and I will go home to see family and friends in December. So there you go lots to look forward to!! And that doesn't count all the exciting stuff next year!
Dustin and I are going camping this weekend. I hope it won't be too cold. I am looking forward to sitting around a fire drinking hot chocolate and visiting with my favorite person.
I miss you sooooo much it is not even funny. Everyday I think oh if Angela were here we could be doing this or oh I wish we could have Angela and Dustin over tonight.
Sounds like you are very busy! How wonderful that you get to visit home so often! I am going to be up there December 18th and will be there thru the weekend. Can't wait!! I haven't been there in a year!
We haven't had the time or money to go...my vacation time is renewed November 19th...but this trip gets paid by my job and I don't have to take any time out since its for my job! Yippee!
With Ryan not having a solid job this past year, we couldn't afford it. You are very blessed!
As per a visitors recommendation - try Reece's peanut butter cup on a s'more instead of chocolate bar - woa - look out! Have a great time camping! Deb and I were just talking about you today ~ hoping for a visit soon! We miss you!
I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I think it's gonna rain on your camping trip. Hope there isn't a hole in your tent. We don't want you to be musty on top of already being funky.
This morning I woke up to a cool house. I was so happy. It is so nice to wear slippers and bake and not be burning up doing so. I love that fall is here! At least for a couple of days. : )
This past weekend Dustin and I went apple picking with Forest, Leah and the kids, Nathan,Crystal and Silas and Brad and Danielle. We had a lot of fun goofing around and picking apples. This year we were able to pick them off the trees which was pretty neat. (Last year we had to pick them out of bins.) We picked enough to make an apple pie and eat a couple. Sometimes I have to remember it's just the two of us or I would pick for an army.
I guess that's it for now. I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week!
I always picked too much, but we never wasted any! We made many pies, which we would freeze and then bake when we wanted a fresh baked apple pie, applesauce, apple jelly, and apple butter! YUM! That is one thing I have never stopped missing since being here!
You guys always take such fun pictures! It was fun being with you as always:)
We over do the apple buying every year, it seems. BUT, we do somehow use them all up without them going bad at least:) We have already devoured like one and a half bags of our three bags!!! CRAZY!!!
I want Brian to enjoy parenting instead of juggling it between a full-time job and full-time classes. I want him to have more time for family when we start a family.
I'm going to give her your email address listed above. Her name is Christine (Chrissy) Buzga and her email address starts w/ cbuzga!
Thanks, hope that you all can get together sometime. :)
I did get a haircut a few weeks ago. Just some layering so it doesn't look so long and blah when I wear it down (which is like always). It's still pretty much the same length in the back though.
8. I only like to eat fruit if it's cold, except bananas.
7. Any time I need to make a big decision I make sure to get ice cream. For some reason I think it helps me to think clearer. : )
6. I like even numbers.
5. I am always counting. How many steps I have taken, how m any cracks in the sidewalk, telephones posts, times I have tapped my fingers. I know it's super weird!
4. I can't fall asleep unless my feet are uncovered and cold. This is something that Dustin can't stand. : )
3. I check my e-mail and pleonast every time I walk by the computer. That is probably about 20 times a day!
2. I don't like to cut open pumpkins, squash, peppers or look at pasta in a strainer. It really makes my stomach hurt to do that.
1. In the past year I have spent 8 weeks visiting in RI. WOW!
Now that you are think I'm crazy I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Crazy people are the best! They keep life from being dull, and I really think that normal is over-rated, anyway!!! I mean, who are the normal people? Boring ones???
You really ARE crazy! HA! I don't think you are too weird, I do some counting of steps when I exercise but in weird sequences like, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and make a little song out of it. :) Had fun with you today!!
