which candidate's is better?

and why?


kristindoula	"Better" is relative. But I'll say that Obama's plan SCARES me!
missygop	I am not for "spreading the wealth around." (Obama)
missygop	Quite frankly, I don't think either one of them have any real plans. This problem is larger than the US Presidency. I wish I knew more about it, but I have a friend that ties it to rule changes on mark-to-market that sent Wall Street into a tail spin. It's the first theory that's made any sense to me.

deusvitae	At best, a conservative Pyrrhic victory.
caraboo	good on the surface, got the GOP fired up, finally, but not sure she will be able to handle the office.
valleryy911	hmmm...dunno. A "pitbull with lipstick" is still a vicious dog. So I kind of question that self described notion.
kristindoula	So far I ♥ her. I knew who she was before McCain announced her, and have gotten to know a little about her over the last several months...so I'm a bit familiar with what she has accomplished in her state, and I am VERY impressed. As for her being a woman and doing this job...I really can't muster up the wherewithall to criticize her, when I'd be hypocritical not to do so about any MAN who is in this type of position. And regarding this "not being a good example for our daughters..." Well, I just have to say that I don't want or expect my daughters to look to a woman in this political role as an example any more than I want my SONS to look at any MAN in this role as an example...so why the double standard? (Just touching on points I have heard here and there.) Personally, I think Sarah Palin is the best candidate for PRESIDENT we have seen this past year...given the fact that her values overall are very similar to mine, her views on every issue I've heard/read about match mine, she GETS THINGS DONE, is very conservative and seems very down to earth and IN TOUCH with the people. I think McCain has a good chance of winning ~ particularly now that he's made Palin his running mate ~ but we shall see. We all know that we can't really put any stock in the polls going on now...at this point, their purpose is to shape public opinion, and almost every single poll is run by the liberal media who wants Obama to win. I, for one, am VERY excited about this ticket, and I wasn't at all about McCain by himself (though I agree that the man is a TRUE HERO!). If Palin were to do for our country what she has done for her state...we would all be better off!!!

serena	I love her. Its like me getting nominated for VP :) Btw- we went to see the American Idol concert Thursday night :) It was actually a lot of fun.
serena	On the subject of work/women/leadership positions-I know quite a few mothers in the church, some that I have worshipped with, that work full-time outside of the home in positions of authority. If I can worship with them I can vote for a mother in the same position. It has not been my choice for our family, but I don't really feel its my place to dictact how others run their household.

lorileigh	She is like a breath of fresh air. I'm ready for her to clean out Washington. She seems honest, sincere and conservative. The fact that she will be proactive for those with special needs, while truly going through what others are going through, really touches my heart.
