as long as Will Smith plays him in the movie ;)
Seriously though, as Christians there are so many things which impact us in greater and more direct ways than who the President is.
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.... Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.... Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed. Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. (Rom 13:1,5,7,8) |

i am now minoring in "world cultures and literatures" because it's the closest thing UH has to "arabic studies".
some classes i plan to take (you basically create a proposal for your area of emphasis and run it by the program director):
*arabic (i'm in my third semester right now)
*political terrorism
*economics of development
*world cultures through literature and the arts
and a couple of other required classes
this should be enough to give me one "fun" class per semester for the rest of my college career.
i have decided that contentment applies to academics as well :)

they make an incredible couple and i know that they'll do amazing things together for God! (they already have)
got to see a bunch of other very awesome people too
it was quite enjoyable and classy :)
the flower girl, the bride, and a bridesmaid :)

it was amazing to see the sheer power of the storm.
we are so thankful that there was very little loss of life, and the property damage could have been much worse. i'm not sure how things are at the university (they were pretty bad the other day) but we're supposed to resume school tomorrow.
i absolutely loved our improvised service at his house. being with christians at a time like this has been an overwhelming blessing |
