my schedule is finally a little less hectic.
hmm... perhaps i should start from the beginning...
but where is that exactly?
okay, so monday and thursday afterschool were band practices. we were getting ready for union contest, which we rocked! (even though four ppl weren't there, two got sick right b4 we went onfield, and the mic. didn't work) we got all superior (finally), and came in second in our division. Jordan, our drummajor, was top in the division (even though she had a sore throat)
tuesday, we started beta club. i have yet to pay my dues, and will have to see if i'll even be allowed to stay in the club: i won't do any service projects for the salvation army, i'll be one short of the required amount.
wenesday was the PSAT (which made me miss a few tests that had to be made up afterschool). it was rough. i think i did fairly well, though.
friday was the football game... we lost 21 -24.
saturday was contest day again. we left at eight in the morning, sat out a three hour bus ride (including a stop for lunch), and arrived in union at one. we played at two and sat around until the awards ceremony at four, then took an equally long bus ride home, arriving around seven.
and, on top of all that (as if i needed something else), the whole week was Anchor club initiation week. basically, i had to wear a foam anchor and do random things each day.
monday, whilst in the math hall, all new anchors could only step on the maroon tiles of the floor. failure to do so resulted in being sent back to the beginning of the hall to start over.
tuesday, we went on a scavenger hunt for answers to questions about anchor and pilot club. the answers were taped to the walls and bulletin boards (and occasionally the ceiling) throughout the school.
wednesday, we had to put our hair into a ponytail on the very top of our head and everytime the bell rang, we said "land ho, drop the anchor"
thursday (initiation was held at six that night... i left early to go to church) we had to dress in whatever costume our big sister arranged... i was the trix rabbit. (pix on facebook). at each bell, i had to say "silly kids, trix are for anchors"
and...
friday we wore our big sis/little sis t-shirts (several sizes too big) and at each bell wove pom-poms we were given and said "go toppers go".
report card grades coming soon! (mom lost it)
our gospel meeting went well; i managed to make it every single night.
the end... i think i'll sleep now...
