I can't believe it's 2009 already! We just had our last guests leave. We had anyone who could come over after church. We had a good crowd and had a lot of fun!!!!
Well, I'm not making any New Year's resolutions.... I never do, mainly because the few times I have, I never kept them more than about a week. So I just don't bother anymore. :-)
But, I am looking forward to another year of wonderful married bliss with my gorgeous husband and a fun-filled year with our adorable puppy (who's actually 5 years old). Hopefully this year will bring us many more blessings, or at least one little one!
Hope you all had a wonderful and safe New Year's night and that this is a wonderful year for you and your families!
:) Merry Christmas, Ashley. I was just thinking the other day about how I met you once when you came to Richmond, I think. And how Jack Bise would joke.
Well, Jason and I have been decorating our house for Christmas!!! This is my favorite time of year. The weather is cooler (yes, even in Florida) and there's just something about this time of year that's so wonderful!!! Everyone's in a cheery mood. We pre-ordered a Christmas tree through a fundraiser, so we got a fresh tree from South Carolina. It's not the biggest or fullest tree we've ever had, but it sure smells good! I also did a little mini tree for Jason this year. Since he's from Canada, I did ornaments that related to Canada or hockey or Star Wars (yes, he's into that stuff). It turned out really cute.
We have company coming tomorrow. Jenny (Bise) and her husband, Dan and their 6 month old baby girl, Zoe, are coming for a week. We can hardly wait. We have so much planned while they're here, we'll need a vacation from our vacation. :-) And, of course, I can't wait to hold little Zoe. She is so precious. My mom and I took a short trip back in August to see her for the first time. I can't wait to see her again. I hate that we won't get to watch her grow up but through pictures.
Well, it's after midnight and I've got to get up in about 7-8 hours and finish a little cleaning and baking before they get here.
Okay, so I've just started with this blogging thing. :-) However, I can't seem to get a picture uploaded. Everytime I try to it says there was an error. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is there another way to add my main pic?
Hey Ashley. This is Rachel (Latta) Messer. Welcome to pleo! About your pictures.... your picture file is probably too big to download. That happens to me all the time. Adjust your camara so that your pictures are a lower quality, so the file will be smaller. Then you should be able to download them.
Hi Ashley. This is Brooke (Brailey) Williams, I stayed with you and Jenny when I came to senior days, or junior days, or something. It might be easier to use a different photo site... we use google photos, and I can plug in the size I want, and it gives me the code to copy and paste in here.
Oh, for your main pic, there's no way around it. You can use a program like IrfanView to reduce the size of your picture, save it under a different name, then upload that.
Well, I have finally jumped on the bandwagon. This is Ashley (Hudson) McCreary. For those of you who I haven't kept up with, I have been married to Jason McCreary from Canada for 8 years now. We live in Umatilla, FL (which is a little town right on the edge of the Ocala National Forest). We don't have kids yet, but are starting the process of adoption. We have a chocolate lab named Max. I had been teaching preschool for the past 7 years, but just last fall went to work for the County Attorney's office here in Lake County. I needed something less stressful. Jason is the preacher at the Golden Triangle Church of Christ in Eustis. I'd love to hear from old friends. Talk to you soon!
