James, Amber and I had a great weekend together. We were kind of busy! We went shopping a few times (James bought a reel mower for himself, and we finally purchased a lovely rug for the living room), ate at Moe's (YUM!), visited the local merchants in downtown Newnan and on the Square, had lunch with one of my favourite pleo-lurkers and her husband (her mom and dad) on Sunday afternoon, and met one of our new sisters in Christ, a girl that my brother taught and baptized in Mississippi, but who recently moved to the area to teach in Jonesboro. There was also movie watching and Wii playing and walk taking, and it all added up to a really fun time.
Mom is planning to come visit on Thursday to take me to lunch for an early birthday celebration (I'm turning 24 on Saturday). I'm looking forward to having some Mom-time. I get a bit parched every now and then.
I still don't have a job, but I am finally at peace about waiting to get the right one. Huge thanks to James for helping me reach this mindset. I feel that I will be a much happier and more productive person now that I won't be dealing with the guilt of not having a job.
Where did you get your rug? I'm on the hunt for one right now too...I guess I'm pretty picky though, because I've looked at hundreds and haven't found the right one (also at the right price!) yet. I'm glad James has been supportive during your job hunt! Definitely don't feel guilty! I'm sure you're doing good things with your time that you wouldn't otherwise have been able to do. Enjoy the rest of your week! :)
Happy Birthday on Saturday. I forgot you were a Sept. birthday, too...Sept. is our big month. Nathan and I will have been married 8 years on the 9th and then both our birthdays are this month! Actually, I share a birthday with your grandmother :-)
Yes, I'd like a bumper sticker like that! (Only I don't think Dennis likes to put them on the car. Maybe there's another way to display it.) Early Happy Birthday greetings to you as well. I hope your time with your Mom is lovely. (I'm sure it will be.) Maybe the two of you should just jump in the car and make a little drive out here to Texas! I would love to see the both of you. Open invitation to you anytime you can come see us!
Considering that's illegal I would report him to the his management and then, if they didn't take care of it, contact the authorities.
Is he actually opening and reading your mail?
i would mail a letter to myself saying, "Dear Mr. Postman, I know where you sleep....".....hey seriously, AJ, do you by chance have Adam Kendall-Ball's email address? I need to get in touch with him about something...thanks!
Well, I don't think I'd feel exactly "creeped out" because I never get anything in the mail to feel that way about. Violated, yes. I would *definitely* report him, with samples if you've kept them. And the credit report check is an excellent idea!
OOH, OOH! Plant a small, espionage-type camera inside, right below the flap of the envelope (of the mail you're sending yourself), so that when the mailman opens it -- you'll have a picture to prove it!
Part of my routine every morning is raising and opening the blinds in the living room so that Moo and Isis can sit in the window sill and try to catch the bugs that tantalize them from the other side of the glass. This morning when I opened the blind on the left window I saw one of the most beautiful and delicate things I have ever seen-a complete circular spider web, with water droplets clinging to every strand. It was perfect, and amazing, and just that much better because the spider was nowhere in sight! What a beautiful creation, from the mind of our wonderful Creator! I tried to photograph it, but I am not sure if it was even visible. If so, I'll post the pictures.
I finally have an interview! I am applying for the front desk position at an alternative healthcare clinic. The ad in the paper said the company prefers you to have 10 arms and 8 legs. They must be very busy! The hours seem right, and I think I can learn to do the work quickly (I've never been a receptionist before), so maybe this is the job I have been hoping to get. Please pray for me, and for the right thing (God's will) to happen.
Thank you for all of the "Happy Anniversary's". I appreciated each one :-) just like I appreciate each of you.
***UPDATE***
The possible job was a definite "No". I didn't feel right attempting to get a position that would cause me to miss at least half of Wednesday Bible class every week. I say that I would attempt to get it because there were almost 50 people there vying for the same position. Craziness!
I ♥ the beach. Especially in fall--no "naked" people there! One year I plan on spending Thanksgiving in Fort Morgan on the beach. That's my dream--renting a big ol' house right on the beach and have a couple other families come along.
