We have 5 months or a little less before our wedding. I'm so thankful that I moved the date up...of course now I wish I had moved it up even more. Oh well...I think the photographer wouldn't be too thrilled with me if I did that so I'll just live with 5 months....
Also, I hate to report that I won't be able to vote in the election this year. I obviously have moved WAY TOO MUCH and because of this, I'm registered in one county but live in a different one. So I missed the deadline (because I just thought about this last week) and now I can't vote. I hate the feeling that I can't have a say in who will be the next leader of our country but I'm confident that God has His hand in this and whoever wins, will be okay. I also figured that I might as well wait to re-register since I'll be changing my name and I'll probably be moving again. So in 2012 I'll vote, Lord willing.
100% ditto on the second paragraph. I couldn't vote for all the exact same reasons and I'll be changing my name in 4 days....5 more months!?! That's so awesome!!!! Sorry it took me forever to get back to you...my computer died and I just broke down and bought a new one yesterday with John. By the way, if I didn't already tell you, I loved the engagement photos!
Well lots has been going on since my last post. Let's see...I've found my dress and surprisingly it came in VERY early so now I have my dress, sitting in my closet, patiently waiting for me to try it on :) Other plans have been made and things are slowly coming together. Oh...did I mention we moved the date up? Our wedding date is now April 3, 2009. There was no reason not too and since I had a lot of things done, I thought, why not?!
On Sunday, Josh and I had engagement pictures taken. We had a TON of fun taking them and they turned out so good. Better than I thought or expected. If you want to see my handsome soon-to-be hubby and me the website is www.randallstewart.com and go to "online events" and look for us. I'm going to have a hard time choosing which is the best.
Well, that's about it...I'll update soon and hope everyone is doing great!
good for you girl! Why wait?! We took Engagement pics on Monday. I wish I had my dress..not until Dec :-( the bridesmaid dresses come in in Nov. We worked on programs last night...and we think we are going to make them ourselves..nothing that "theKnot" will write about I'm sure but something unique to us
I have tried about 6 times today to look at your pictures. I think my computer is just too slow. I can't even get the online events page to open. Maybe one of these days!
For some reason i got it to work. They are SO good! I bet you just love them. Get lots of them and put them all over your new home together. Then you can always look back and remember when you really liked each other. :) J/K! but they are good and I would have a hard time picking my favorite! Lots of kissing too! I'm sure your dad loves that!
oh I definitely know ya'll are both ready. I can understand about the school issue. Will he be done after this next spring or does he have more to go? I'm so glad you found your dress!!! I'm so excited for ya'll!! Oh by the way, I love all the pics
true... I told Larry I wish we were back in Noah's day... they didn't have debt back then... they worked the ground... and didn't have to decide what they wanted to do for a living...
Well I put up a countdown to the big day...not sure if that is a good thing or not! ;-) It might stress me out some to realize how little time I actually have! I remember a few months ago thinking that May seemed so far away and the time is flying by.
Tomorrow starts my mini-vacation and when the fun really begins. She gets here tomorrow along with her precious girl to spend a few days with me and help plan. I mean she is the matron of honor so she needs to be involved! We will be trying on dresses (hopefully I'll feel like a princess in a dress and that will be THE dress!!), going to look at the site, cake tasting, and just having a fun girl's weekend! I'm looking forward to it.
I took Josh home to Kansas City for Labor Day weekend to meet the whole family. I think he did just fine and they liked him. I know my little cousins enjoyed having him around!
That's about all that is going on. Hope everyone is doing good and I'll catch in a few weeks!
I'm SO glad your family liked Josh...and it sounds like you and Jenn are going to have so much fun this weekend!!! Enjoy! And yes...November 8 actually....we're going to make it very simple...but oh-so meaningful :-)
awww, yay - so much fun...let me know if you need any help planning the wedding (I used to be a wedding coordinator - and just did one this past June) :)
thank you...I am trying...and I need to learn new way of how to better at this too. Ross has been patient and sweet but I need to take the first step my step ...it's so strange...I thought of myself as out going and then you move somewhere new and it's like I am WAY not!
Hey! Are you in Dallas? If you are, do you think you'll be in town this weekend? We are trying to figure out plans for Hurricane Ike. Would it be possible if we could stay with you? I'm sorry to bother you. This hurricane stuff is SOOO frustrating.
yeah I noticed you still had 7.5 months. Better you than me. I'm impatient I guess...haha. He and I are both just soooo ready to be married to each other and we know waiting any longer would really drag on. The time, as it is, is already dragging on! LOL. Anyway, congrats again to ya'll. Not sure if I asked already, but did you find a dress?
centerpieces for what tables? tables for guests? tables for the cake? it depends.
You could always do small glass vases (less than 1 dollar)...put pebbles in it and a votive candle...place on a mirror (25 cents) and maybe one or two tulips that are cut around the base of it.
Thank you to all for the congratulations and being happy for Josh and I. It is such a great feeling to hear and see people so happy and supportive of you and excited for what is about to come!
Wedding planning is coming along nicely. The date is May 22, 2009 and we already have a place picked out. It will be a small, intimate wedding that I think (and hope) everyone will enjoy. My mom, Aunt, best friend and her beautiful daughter will be here soon to help me do some things. It will be a blast I'm sure!
My brother Nathan graduated with his Master's degree recently and has accomplished his goal that he's worked so hard on and made many sacrifices along the way. I couldn't be more proud of him and what he is doing with his life. My brother is an amazing man and I admire him so much. And I KNOW that anyone who knows him will agree with me.
Other than those few things, not much else is going on. Just enjoying life and planning ahead for the future that I am so excited to watch unfold.
yay! Congratulations again. Planning is fun. Don't let it get you stressed out. It's easy to do. I'm still learning this. But everything will get done!
So, where are ya'll going to live? Are you moving to CS? I'm so happy for you! Larry is really happy for ya'll too. :-) Have fun dress shopping... everyone says once you have the dress, the other things start falling in place :-)
That's right! I keep forgetting that this weekend is Labor Day weekend. Well can't wait to see you and meet him. And see the ring and hear about how all the plans are going!
Thanks for asking, darling! I am ready for this baby to get here. It's quite challenging to carry a 30-lb almost 2-yr-old with my ever-expanding belly! :)
Well of course we are excited for you! And I'm so glad your family all is too! That makes a huge difference doesn't it!? Good luck with the dress shopping - you girls are going to have so much fun!
As she requested, here is a quick update on what's going on in my life....
Since most of the family knows now I'll let everyone else know too....I'm marrying the man in the picture to your left! We got engaged Sunday night :) I couldn't be happier!! Let the fun begin.
They'll be so cute to watch. Mary's somewhat of a brute, though, so there are times when hair gets pulled or eyes gouged. I have to stay right on top of her when other kids are around!
They were okay. They were very laid back, which was great in some ways, but it meant we needed to have someone assertive on our end to really help run the show.
