Last night we had the pleasure of going to the airport to welcome home our new friend-Cosette. One of her best friends adopted a baby from China. She is such a doll! She is so happy and has adjusted very well so far with her new family!! She has such a sweet little smile and just giggles at you when you play with her. We are very glad they have made it home safely and continue to pray for their new little family!! Here are some pics. Enjoy!! Warning******You might feel the need to get one of your own!!!

My dad had surgery on her b-day last week and I was unable to post about her, but today is her b-day!! Go tell th em Happy Birthday if you haven't already!!

They are two TERRIFIC FRIENDS that I can not say enough about! Wonderful mothers, excellent wives, and two shining examples in the world!

Thanks to the both of you for coming into and blessing my life beyond measure!!!

Halloween Fun!!!

Ray and Lisa Fox once again went all out for Halloween!! They decked the place out with all kinds of tricks and treats and invited the church for a pot luck!! We all had a GREAT time! Take a look at some of the costumes! Thanks to Ray and Lisa for all their hard work!!!

mustang360	Thanks bunches :D:D:D Here's a tip, make sure you've got at least four hours alloted at one time to do this :) Also, when you draw it on your pumpkin use a ballpoint pen. You can carve it out on the lines then get rid of all the pen marks with nail polish removers :D Also, when you're carving, carve out the smallest areas first. Otherwise, when you cut out the large areas, your pumpkin becomes flimsy and the picture might break. It's a lot of fun :D

The kids and I went on a field trip today.....

to see John McCain!!

My sister called me around 12:30, as we were pulling in from Amanda's co-op, to tell me that one of our Parkesdale friends had called to inform us that John McCain was planning to be at the Parkesdale Farms Market around 1. We threw our stuff down and off we went. Thinking that we might miss him, I did not bother to call my wonderful friend or any one else. We then got so caught up in all the action, before we knew it, it was 2:30! He did not arrive until 2:40. It was a neat experience. I hope she will forgive me soon! Here are some more pics!

crazy_mama	Noelani would have been going out of her mind. She is just in love with him! She counts EVERY sign we see for him and everyone for Obama and gets upset when she sees Obama. Today there was a guy selling Obama t-shirts on the side of the road and she said "Are those free cause I don't know who would want to buy those?!" That's my 5 year old!!! So cool that you got to see him and you are SOOO close to him.

Once when my girls were in high school, we went to see Ronald Reagan when he came to his hometown of Dixon, IL for his birthday ... it was February 6th, about 20 below ... we had to stand on a street corner wrapped in blankets for about 4 hours before he got there ... but it was worth it! Looks like you had an easier time of it!

waxtadpole	Listen...my co-teacher is Christy O'Connor. Her mom teaches at Tomlin. I think her last name is Sullivan..maybe. Anyway, last Thursday I attended an event at Everyday Blessings (a Group Home for foster kids who have several siblings and don't want to be split up) and Christy's mom was there with us. We were sitting and visiting and she said, "You remind me of the sister of a friend I teach with. My friend's name is Susan Williamson and her sister's name is Melanie. You remind me so much of Melanie." It was fun to tell her I've known you for years. Just goes to show....small world.

waxtadpole	Sorry you're so sick. Hope you're feeling better. Isn't it nice when your kids are old enough that if you are sick, you don't still have to get up and tend to them non-stop? YOu can acutally stay in bed and be sick and know that they are not out sticking their silverware in the light sockets. Well...then again, maybe your's still do that.... feel better soon.
motherofall	Glad you're feeling better. I can bring the DVD of the wedding to secret pal night, as Tami suggested, if that's okay with you. I have an issue with that night --have an Usborne booth, but I'm trying to get someone to cover for me so I can leave by 7. I'll be so sad if I have to miss SP!

They did it!!!!

Go and congratulate her and her!!! They ran their first 5K on Saturday! They both did great. Tammy and I would have run it with them but someone needed to hold the goodie bags. ;-)!! We all had a good time. Here are some pics from the event!
