Well, the picnic turned out really good. We had almost 80 people show up. Every congregation, except one, had someone attend. It was great getting to renew some old friendships and make new ones. The kids, big & little, played the whole time and we had some really good food. The weather was a little warm, but not unbearable. Many suggested that we needed to do this again, so we will have to make plans to do just that. |

Tomorrow we are having a picnic (potluck) at one of our area county parks and all the area congregations have been invited. I have no idea how many people will be attending, but I'm sure that no matter how many come, we will have at good time. I have lived in this area all my life and know people from every congregation in the area, so it will be nice to see people that I don't get to see very often. I think it will also be a great opportunity for the young people to get to see and meet other young people that are a part of the church. In this day in time, the young and the old, need to be around good influences as much as possible. So hopefully the weather will be nice and everyone will come and have a wonderful time, eat good food and make fond memories. |
