Which seinfeld character said this 09-12-08 05:03pm EST
well, I'll tell you what your problems is . . . you brought your queen out too early. What do you think she, some feminist who likes to be out on the town? No the queen is traditional, likes to stay home, likes to cook, like to clean . . . .

check mate

I don't think we should see each other anymore.

The soul of a man 09-09-08 10:29pm EST
The soul of a man is revealed when he gets hits hit in the mouth. That's what some say.
For instance, sometimes when people talk about Mike Tyson they speak of a boxer with legendary intimidation skills but who was not as formidable to those less affected by appearances. An opponent may be less skilled than others in the ring but could fare better against Tyson because they were not frightened by his powerful frame and paralyzing glare.
When Mike Tyson actually got hit in the mouth, critics say he fell pretty easily, casting questions on his soul for those who who believe in this saying.
Does this apply to Obama? Could Sarah Palin have jacked him in the jaw? I don't think I would have thought about it unless Obama, in recent speeches, had ressembled a jaw jackee. I mean to say he is being challenged and he is responding with comments revealing poor judgement and even silver spoon condescendance (he reminded me of a high school prep the way he referred to Palin as "mother, governor, and moose hunter may be cool"). In a speech this week he said "you can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig;" in best case, giving him the benefit of the doubt, this is a foolish thing to say because of the association with Palin's speech last week (in which she said the only difference betweeen a pit bull and hockey mom was lipstick). In worst case he is calling Palin a pig (if he is intentionally implying this then why doesn't he come right out and say it?; if you are going to be a bore then be a bore.) This is not the first time Obama has said something from poor judgment and maybe all politicians do it but Obama is getting to the point where I find his speeching unprofessional and unpresidential, despite his refined manners and the eloquent way he carries himself.

I am not prepared to say he lacks soul but I will say I think his political inexperience is showing and perhaps he tried for the presidency too early. I think something good he has done is that he has been very clear in his ideas, such as . . .

Obama says that he will give the American people the same health care system members of congress get. This goes against everything I know about the world so if it happens it will be a valuable life lesson. This is exciting, these kind of opportunities don't happen that much. I just hope it isn't some foggy result, thats probably what will happen. If it is foggy then then it is what I expect from the world.

an autobiographical sentence or so 09-05-08 10:49pm EST
I have observed I have a strong tendency to do things the hard way; there are many examples of this but I won't mention any. Instead I will give parts of me that make me do things the hard way.
Its a combination of idealism, laziness, haste, decisiveness, perseverace, and inacurate prediction of results.
I don't thnk anything will be done that will change this. I don't really care. I'm not there anyway.

In the market of second teir sports Micheal Phelps is definitely better at his sport than Tiger Woods hasbeen at his.
Micheal Phelps looks like Poisidon.
Yao Ming . . . .
he is a basketball player from China that plays in the US and he is a huge force in the world in terms of marketing. but I have never seen anything impressive from him, I saw Joakim Noah shut him down one time. I don't think he is an all star in the NBA even though I think he is.
mtnhollerthe olympics would be more interesting if they would have a wild card event where the athletes would have to trade sports. Yao could end up swimming a 100 meter butterfly, and then you might see Phelps do the uneven bars
jimmybuckCheck my blog.
mtnhollerno, but one day she probably will
jackofheartsjim, what are your thoughts on the claim that michael phelps is "the greatest olympic althelete of all time"?
timandmichelleJim ... hope you and the fam are doing well, it's been a long time. I think of you quite a lot. Hope you like the new job.
borgood question Jared. Albeit my exposure to olympic sports is limited, it is a general question and I would like to phrase it like this: Usane Bolt is the typical Olympic champion who would be the story the usual olympic year if Phelps wasn't swimming. I guess A guy like Phelps comes along every 20 or 30 years so not the greatest of all time bar none but one of them and the one with the most gold medals.

George Washington said to Barak Obama:
"yes, but what have you done for me lately?"
And Barak Obama said "And I am looking good while doing it!"

I am in the middle of a 3 hour sleep over 45 hour period. but it actually has more to do with AT&T than being an intern; they woke me up while I was trying to get out of my parents phone plan and pretty much wasted an hour and a half of my rest time with a dropped call, call misdirection, and other maladventures. I couldn't get to sleep after it.
ktembryI hope you get some sleep soon!
danielstephenmann thats stinks
mtnhollerhope you can catch a nap and have a few "best days of your life" coming up
