At the barnyard one day, the little red hen called all of her Democrat neighbors together and said, 'If we plant this wheat, we shall have bread to eat. Who will help me plant it?'
'Not I,' said the cow.
'Not I,' said the duck.
'Not I,' said the pig.
'Not I,' said the goose.
'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen, and so she did. The wheat grew very tall and ripened into golden grain.
'Who will help me reap my wheat?' asked the little red hen.
'Not I,' said the duck..
'Out of my classification,' said the pig.
'I'd lose my seniority,' said the cow.
'I'd lose my unemployment compensation,' said the goose.
'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen, and so she did.
At last it came time to bake the bread.
'Who will help me bake the bread?' asked the little red hen.
'That would be overtime for me,' said the cow.
'I'd lose my welfare benefits,' said the duck.
'I'm a dropout and never learned how,' said the pig.
'If I'm to be the only helper, that's discrimination,' said the goose.
'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen.
She baked five loaves and held them up for all of her neighbors to see. They wanted some and, in fact, demanded a share. But the little red hen said, 'No, I shall eat all five loaves.'
'Excess profits!' cried the cow. (Nancy Pelosi)
'Capitalist leech!' screamed the duck. (Barbara Boxer)
'I demand equal rights!' yelled the goose. (Jesse Jackson)
The pig just grunted in disdain. (Ted Kennedy)
And they all painted 'Unfair!' picket signs and marched around and around the little red hen, shouting obscenities.
Then the farmer (Obama) came. He said to the little red hen, 'You must not be so greedy.'
'But I earned the bread,' said the little red hen.
'Exactly,' said Barack the farmer. 'That is what makes our free enterprise system so wonderful. Anyone in the barnyard can earn as much as he wants. But under our modern government regulations, the productive workers must divide the fruits of their labor with those who are lazy and idle.'
And they all lived happily ever after, including the little red hen, who smiled and clucked, 'I am grateful, for now I truly understand.'
But her neighbors became quite disappointed in her. She never again baked bread because she joined the 'party' and got her bread free. And all the Democrats smiled. 'Fairness' had been established.
Individual initiative had died, but nobody noticed; perhaps no one cared...so long as there was free bread that 'the rich' were paying for.
EPILOGUE
Bill Clinton is getting $12 million for his memoirs.
Hillary got $8 million for hers.
That's $20 million for the memories from two people, who for eight years, repeatedly testified, under oath, that they couldn't remember anything.
IS THIS A GREAT BARNYARD OR WHAT?

Christians in the 1st century were told to honor the awful leaders that they had (and so must we today) but Jesus, in satire, called Herod a fox, exposing his character and I post the above in the same vein.
There's a local AM talk show host named Greg Garrison who makes a lotta sense.
This morning he pointed out, in the midst of discussing the government's "bailout" (aka buyout) spree that the government is good at maybe two things-- winning wars and building roads. (and my experience in Arkansas has reduced that list to one thing).
--If you haven't heard, Nathan's last report showed no significant growth in any of the present tumors.
And Kim has returned home after her first treatment.
Thanks for your prayers for these and others.
Awww....that was so sweet that what you wrote to Alana, she'll love that you thought of her. I sent her to school today b/c she didn't have a fever this morning! I hope I don't get a call.
I was thrilled to hear the latest news in regards to Nathan. Kim continues to amaze us all. She has been doing well since receiving her treatments...very weak though.
He's from OH and used to be a guy that took pics at accidents and stuff (don't know the name), but yeah he baptized me. Kokomo was his first full time preaching place...
hey David. I haven't talked to you in awhile. Hope all is well :) It was encouraging to see Kim there for both services today. She looked like she was having a better day today. I didn't know you and Kim were related. I am finding out new things every day over here. Jesse had two great lessons today. Hope you had a good Lord's Day as well and a good week.
Yeah, rewrite, reformat, whatever you want to do. And yes, you are right, I had forgotten that too, We need to look at our selves and make sure we're not asking too much of someone that we are trying to teach. We learned a little bit at a time (even us, who grew up in the church) we didn't learn everything all at once and except everything right at first. We desired the milk first then meat, I guess we talked about that w/Dempsey.
My cousin Kim Peck (Baytown, Tx) begins chemo treatment today.
My little friend Nathan Ing is having tests run today.
Kelsey Harris has begun another round of treatments recently.
-- Kim has now returned home, having received her first treatment.
Sorry we didn't make it over to your house after services last night. Brad has worked like 125 hours in 2 weeks time and he's been really tired lately. The kids were tired as well. :(
the basement of the Diemans in Wisconsin. I think this my first overnight in Wisc. And if I'm going to be a happy guest, I better get some sleep.
The meeting in MN went well. I drove 5 hrs to Milwaukee this evening and will finish the trip sometime tomorrow.
While in Rochester I visited the Mall of Am and toured the Mayo clinic. The latter was definitely more interesting. But the aquarium at the MOA was pretty cool.
While I'm no Deborah, travel-wise, I'm enjoying slowly expanding the parts of this country I've visited.
Hope all are well--
