Since I have not posted for a long time I have a lot to talk about. I have been reading everyone's post's even though I have not commented on many of them.
Ken and I have both setup accounts on Facebook since looking at some of the Flair buttons some of you posted on Pleo. Ken's sister and brother-in-law both have Facebook accounts so that will be another way for us to keep in contact with them since we don't seem the very often.
I'm STILL having pain in what we have now determined is my shoulder after another MRI we found out I have Tendonitis. I have had two cortisone shots with just a little bit of pain relif. The Dr.'s have ruled out so many things that I don't have I have decided to go a more natural route and now after much research I'm taking a lot of vitamins and will go to my first Acupuncture appt. on Thursday (wish me luck!)
Addie finished up Soccer a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed watching her play. As of now Addie has no plans to sign up for soccer again.
The count down to the girls Ballet Recital begins. Each week I get to go and watch them practice I'm really enjoying this too. Addie won a coloring contest today at Ballet. She got a "Ballet Box" this includes all kinds of fun pink ballet stuff. Addie's picture will also be framed and displayed at the Recital.
We are counting the days until school is out for both Ken and Addie. I think we are all ready for a little time away from school! Hope you all have a great week.
It's Tiffani - yay! I haven't gotten much of a chance to talk to you lately. I hope the acupuncture works - worth a try anyway, right?! Any big plans for the summer? I would LOVE having my husband home like that! :)
Tiffani, I have had great sucess with acupunture. In fact, that is my choice of treatment over PT and Surgery. It really does have a remarkable effect if you give it a good chance. I had a HUGE fall down some stairs several years ago. Despite pain pills and traditional therapy, nothing was relieveing the pain and muscle cramping. I went to an accupuncurist(sp) and once he set the pins in, I could feel the muscles MELTING literally out of their knots. I would encourage you to give it a healthy chance. I hope that you have the success that I have.
:) Thanks. Actually, they had a sale on the Clif bars (all kinds) so I got builders bars for 1.29 and the regular ones for .99, which is about as good as I've seen. Odwalla bars are yummy, but I think I stopped eating them because they have a different balance of nutrients from the clif bars. But winco is usually pretty cheap for those, so once we're closer to a Winco, I may get more of them.

I love to hear about where people come from and how they arrived where they are in life. I always find peoples' autobiographie very interesting. I hope you will keep sharing
Everybody else is doing it... which is never a good reason to do anyting, but in this case, I think I'm safe... so... in lieu of an actual post, please take my "Friend's Test".
No real news to report...
Addie started Soccer last week. She seems to be having fun and I'm having fun watching her.
Lydia started Ballet last month the same place that Addie takes Ballet. Lydia LOVES it I'm pretty sure it's because it's about the only thing she does alone with out her sister. Addie and Lydia will both be in a Ballet Recital in the middle of June. It should be lots of fun. The theme is "Over the Rainbow"
I'm still going to PT twice a week and I'm finally starting to feel better on a more regular basis. I'm looking forward to spring break it will be nice to have Ken home for a week. Like I said no real new to report but sometimes no news is good news. Hope everyone in Oregon is enjoying the sunshine today. As soon as Lydia wakes up from her nap we are off to the park.
I love that your girls are in ballet, that is too sweet!! I'm really glad you're feeling better now, hope you continue to. I have taken full advantage of the beautiful weather. We've gone to the park, taken Chris to lunch and gotten the car washed. :)
Nestle Tollhouse is right by my house in Bethany Village shopping center. I think it's the only one in Oregon. It is good - they have lots of cookies (not just chocolate chip), bar cookies, ice cream, smoothies.... But.... it is VERY expensive. I was telling Jamie that I can bake dozens of cookies for the price of a couple there! Just an occasional treat for us! You should come up sometime and go to our cool pirate park near my house and we can go there afterwards! :)
Addie is just one of those kids who seems to have a lot of accidents....
This last accident was just about two hours ago. We were leaving her Ice Skating lesson (I'm so glad my parents were with me) We had said goodbye to my parents they went one way we went the other. I was holding Addie with one hand and Lydia with the other hand walking to our car. I didn't know that Addie was pretending to be blind. She walked right in to a parked car, face first and knocked out her three top teeth. Of course there was blood everywhere nose, mouth, and lip. My parents heard screaming and came running. It's a good thing because I don't do well in situations like that. All three teeth were loose and she seems to be ok now just a little shaken up. A week ago we had to take her to the Dentist to have a tooth pulled that she had broken on a pretzel. Now she has four missing teeth! A week before that, she was playing with paper airplanes and smacked her head into the coffee table. I'll spare the details but we thought she was going to have stiches. Maybe we can get through this week with no accidents. Addie will turn 6 this coming Saturday. I'm sure we are in for a lot more adventures!
I was wondering the same thing. Poor Addie. Before I read what happened, the part about her pretending to be blind made me smile...what a nice imagination she must have! :)
You're scaring me because Addie seems so calm in comparison to Caleb...and he's accident prone too. Is this what I have to look forward to? :0P Poor Addie though, none of that sounds like fun. :(
Wow! Poor thing, and poor you! It is always so scary when your children get hurt! I missed seeing her this morning and it's my turn to stay home with sicky Carson tonight, so I'll have to catch up with you all on Wednesday!
