This will be a very busy year around here.
The kids are back in school. Sam in 2nd, R and R in 1st.
JB starts College full time on Monday, as well as working 50 or so hours a week.
we have Cub Scouts evey Mon night (JB and I are in charge of 30+ boys)
Sam is playing Football.
Rachel is Playing Soccer.
R and R are doing Brownies every other week.
I am teaching the Toddler Class at services.
I am subbing some already.
Trying to sell a house and buy another.
At least you may have a little break when Sam, Rayna and Rachel are in school - one is probably easier to handle than 4!
Our school doesn't start until after labor day, but they can not WAIT!! I always loved when school started.
I sympathize with the boy scouts - my girl scout troop has 20, but we split them into 2 groups - Juniors (all 5th graders) and Brownies (ranges from 1st to 3rd grade). Fun Fun Fun!
Not exactly what I had planned but MUCH better. A website was brought to my attention. www.knowyourbible.org. I have spent the afternoon downloading Hymns and Sermons. Go to the site and click on Songs and then Choose "Kleinwood" They have songs and sermons free to download. WOOOOHOOOOOOOO
Your hostess bag is in the CONTAINER at my front door. (but you can ring my door bell and see if we are home too! (van will be in the driveway if I am!)
Jason plays golf? I never thought we would end up so far away from home and lose touch with our family. I hope we can move back some day, but it will never be the same.
Jason has been on the 20 year plan for college. Taking a class here or there as time/work/$$$ would allow. WELLLLLLL Work is more predictable so he applied for a Grant and got a full Grant. Enough for full time (12 hours) and Most of his books. He is sooooooooo excited. So he will be working full time and going to school full time. And finding time for us. Should be interesting :)
I heard a couple things this week that have really shifted my attitide on parenting. Nothing profound or even new just for some reason they really "stuck" this time. They are:
1. You get what you tolerate from your kids. (if you tolerate backtalk, you will get back talk)
2. God only told Adam, Noah, Abraham, etc ONE time what he wanted. SOOOO kids should be taught to obey without having to be told over and over.
Great thoughts. I just finished reading To Train Up a Child, by Micheal and Debi Pearl. It has those very thoughts. I wish I had read it nine years ago:)
Hmmm.... Like that! I'll have to put those into practice quickly since my girls were gone at grandma's house for 4 weeks.. the older one LOVEs to talk back/tattle.
Hi. I saw your recipe for skillet cornbread in the recipe exchange group. I was going to make it tonight but was wondering what size of cornbread mix you use. Thanks
