So I haven't updated lately so I figured this was a good time.
School is going good for the most part. I have one class that is really giving me a hard time, but other than that all my classes have been enjoyable. I LOVE my Evidences class, it's really helping me to learn how to defend our Faith.
For those of those who don't know, President Caldwell announced his retirement from President, a couple weeks ago. He's going to finish the school year and then go back to teaching next year. It was really sad. He got about a min standing obation and looked like he was about to cry.
We also aren't having Fall Banquet this year, but they are replacing it with a smaller less formal thing in the gym. And of course it will be girls asking guys. Society stuff has really been picking up. We have gotten a lot of things done as far as jerseys and getting money in so we can do a huge Halloween party and we just organized a Glow-In-The-Dark Frisbee night, which was a lot of fun.
Work has been fun. I'm still in the Infant room. We have seven babies all together from 3 months to 10 months. So it's me and one other lady everyday and then at 5:00 the 1 year olds come over and join us. So its been fun. Its kinda gotten me behind in the studies, but the money is good.
I just got to go to Busch Gardens on Sat and it was a lot of fun! And then went to Downtown Disney again! And I finally got to go to Universal City Walk.
This week should be a lot of fun! Brother Jamey and the family are coming down on Thursday and Friday so Brother Jamey can do chapel and then Falcon Days is on Thursday and Friday, which will be a ton of fun!!
Hey guys! Idk how many of yall actually know Brittany Sheffield (was Layfield) but she is from back home and she is almost 20 years old. Her and her husband are expecting their first child a boy (Lane) on November 24th.
Brittany ended up going into labor on Thursday. They managed to stop the contractions so that so didnt have him. But it was definitly a scare. They said that Lane is not too big of a baby that she can't have natural birth, they just dont want her to have him 2 1/2 months early. Unfourtanitly they doctors didnt put her on bedrest, so she is still working, which is not good cause she is walking around all the time. They told her she needs to wait until October 1st hopefully. If she goes into labor again before that they will stop her again, but after that they will let her have him.
This will most likely end up happening again as her stomach is already hard and Lane is already in the right position to give birth. They are scared to do any more ultrasounds to see how far along he is in fear of them causing him to move farther down and causing her to go into labor again.
Please anyone and everyone keep her and her family in your prayers, this is a hard time for her and her family.
Ok...so I had many people as me about it so I figured I would just go ahead and tell everyone.
Yes...I got a second degree burn on my finger, yes it was done in a stupid way and yes I am missing a good amount of skin off my finger.
We have a microwave in our room, and I was cooking Ramen noodles (what every college kid lives off of) so they had been in the microwave for about 6 mins. I took them out and went to pour the water out and suceeded in pouring it on my finger instead. So I know have a messed up finger. But it no longer hurts and is healing just fine.
Classes are still going great! And I LOVE my evidence class!
Hey I want you to pray for momma today is her sugery. I know she will do fine, I am not really that worried. I love you...hope ur having fun in school!

So things have been CRAZY since being back at FC, but I finally found some free time (at 12:40am lol) to update everyone.
FC is amazing as always! There have been a LOT of devotions and singings going on and I have had a sore throat from singing so much ever since I got here! There seems to be a 3:1 ratio of freshman to sophmores but its all good. I have grown a LOT closer to sophmores I barely knew last year and its amazing!
Classes started last Thurs and they have been going great. A LOT of reading though lol and I am once again learning how to survive with only about 6-7 hours of sleep a night haha.
As most of you know, I'm and officer for Zeta Phi this year and things have been CRAZY! We have been working nonstop for skit-night which is on Thursday. We had to make a video for it and come up w/a little skit to do on stage. Our vieo is amazing (or so I think lol) and so is our board! hopefully I will put the video and pic of the board up here soon. Its all gone smoothly but I am so ready for the societies to get started and everything to get rolling.
I also started a job down here today. Im working for a daycare taking care of infants from 3-6 everyday. It went really well today and I really enjoyed it hopefully it wont take me away from school too much...since there is so much to do here.

Awesome stuff. Yeah the whole sleeping thing is crazy, during summer I would stay up till 1 or 2, then wake up around noon (if I wasn't working) but now I go to sleep around 1 or 2 and get up at 7:30!!! AAAH!!!! Can't wait to see you whenever I make my way down to visit!

Well summer is over, which is a good and bad thing at the same time.
I had a great summer and am thankful that I got to meet all the people I have met! But I'm kinda upset that I had SOO many oppurtunities present themselves at the end of summer instead of earlier on, but there is nothing I can do other than trust God had a reason for it.
I am SOOO ready to get back down to Tampa (mentally that is, packing wise, I need a LOT longer!). FC did SOOO much for me last year and helped me prepare for a summer where I wasnt constantly around Christians and I can't wait to see what this year brings.
As sad as it sounds, I let too many things hinder my experience at FC last year. While I still had a blast and made some GREAT friends I could have made it a lot better if I hadn't let a few certain things affect it (some of yall know what I'm talkin about) and I pray that I dont make the same mistake this year. I have been praying for guidence in helping me to grow more this year and to not let certain things or people hinder my time down there. And all I can ask is that y'all would send prayers up for me as well on this matter cause I have a feeling I'll need a lot of help on this matter.
I've realized this summer after a year at FC that I make myself too vunerable to people and while it's not neccesarily a bad thing, it has lead to me being hurt in many ways and many times. And I also hope that yall will help me with that in any way possible.
I pray that this year at FC will be a blast and more fun then I can ever imagine. To all my FC people I'll be seeing yall in less than a week!! YAY!!!
To all my friends at home, I'll try my hardest to keep in touch and I hope y'all do the same. I will miss you all!! And I'll let yall know how the semester is going later on!
You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders, and I defintely will be praying for you, oh and by the way, thanks you so so so much for lending me the cd's, they are AWESOME!!!!! I'll let you know when we have stuff going on down here, and make sure to let me know when stuff is happening down at FC, and I'll try to make it down there.
We will be thinking about you and praying for you, FC will be forever with you wherever you go in life, it is such a wonderful opportunity, I am so thankful I had that opportunity. Soooo, enjoy it while you can because the years will pass by sooo very fast and you will be looking back like me! Hope you have a great year!
