Yep, we are gonna have to do that more often! Just remember I ALWAYS get the leftovers at Mama Junes! Remember....kind, thoughtful, commpassionate.. :)
My family is so big and wonderful. My great-aunt Onie died on Sunday and we had a visitation last night at the funeral home. I saw so many people in my family.
Marissa is just the sweetest, most wonderful cousin. I cannot imagine another person in the world who is as pure of spirit. I wish her the very best on FRIDAY.(She knows what I mean!)
Lexie and Chrissy Jones are wonderful too. They are too funny. The family connection is hilarious though when trying to figure out how we are all related. We are still trying to figure out the Sandlin connection.
Now, we just have to convince Ashley to get on either pleonast or facebook.
I'm sorry about the passing of your Aunt, but glad you had a good time with all your family. Family is wonderful...such a blessing! Enjoy your 4th! Any plans?
We had a wonderful meeting last weekend by Adam Kendall-Ball. It was very edifying.
I am now out of school. I think that I had summer fever far worse than the students. I start summer school this week. I will be teaching 5th graders. June 20th will end that.
I can't wait to be able to just laze around the house and sleep.
:)
Hope you had a nice birthday! I got my mom a card. I was hoping to spend some time with her, but I've ended up working all weekend. I'm actually at work right now...waiting on something to print. Grrr.
Have you ever wondered about pet insurance? I have to say that since I am unmarried and childless I should get that option at work.
Last week, Tad was sick and vomiting. I thought it was the same as usual. He got in to something. It had to pass and it would be over.
No such luck. Tad went for more severe vomiting. It was gross. He refused to eat. He couldn't go to the bathroom.
I finally took him to the the animal emergency hospital. He seemed to know that he was going to the doctor. He hid his head in the floorboard. He refused to get out of the car. I had to pick him up and get him out.
He was given a couple of enemas and had Xrays taken. Something was at the end of his intestines where it meets the stomach. He was dehydrated so he was put on fluids.
We tried the enemas first. I was at the hospital with him until midnight. I called them back at 2:00 am. They called me back at 2:30. He wasn't better so they did surgery. He came out of surgery at 4:00 am. He had a hickory nut that he had eaten whole stuck at the end of his intestines. I now have it as a souvenir..
I picked him up at 7:30.
He was so sad. He refused to walk for the vet tech. She had me call him. He perked up and drunkenly walked out to me.
After paying BIG money, I then transported him to the normal vet's office. They were going to monitor him for 24-48 hours. He had to eat and have a bowel movement for them. He refused to eat the bland food or do the BM. I took him home and he did both in less than 30 minutes for me.
He is recovering but has to have his 15 staples taken out today.
I am just glad that all worked out. The vet techs said that he was wonderful for them. He has been so sweet. Now he is back to his usual self.
I told Mom that it is all her fault since the nut came from her yard.
Do you think that she should have to pay for it all??
