Well as most of you that read this know, my life has taken a sharpturn of unexpected events. It is funny how things just don't go the way you plan. Sometimes no matter how hard you try. These coming up months are going to be very rough. I ask for your prayers for me and my family.
Well not much is going on in my world these days. Just wasting my time trying to make this network we have better. I hope everyone is doing great. I am coming home in January for midtour leave. That will be great. This time it will be relaxing. Well here are some more care package ideas....Gummy Bears, raman noodles, mac and cheese packets, some microwaverable bowls, measuring cups, summer sausage and crackers, ravioli, easycheese. Ok we like too much to list. Have a good day.
I truely hope 'not much' is going on where you are. That is my prayer...
Measuring cups? Are you cooking or doing a science experiment? One package is on the way. I'll start compiling the next.
Well guys I am doing this from my room which means that I figured out all of our problems and got the satellite working. I dont know how I did it, the people in Poland don't know how I did it, but I did and they wanted to know every step just in case it happened to someone else. I am the man right now here.
Ok, so the free internet we had in our rooms got yanked out while I was at home with Chris. Our platoon ordered a satellite and we are now trying toi set it up. Well basically its just me and 3 other guys who have no clue what we are doing. We sent the company a grid of where the sat. is so hopefully they get back to us with an azimuth and elevation so we can finish this thing. I dont even know if we are hooking it into the router right. If ti works though I will be able to be reached pretty much 24-7 on the phone number that most of you have. Take care.
Well I am back at my FOB (forward operating base). I finished my book on the heli ride over here. It was pretty good. It gave me a diffeent perspective on ther people of Afghanistan. Kinda helped me realize that they are not just animals. I need to get his other book called "The Kite Runner". If anyone can hook me up let me know.
Infidel is really good too. It's by Ayaan Hirsi Ali (so it's a woman's point of view).
And the Chronicles of Narnia are good (and long) if you like that type too.
I was going to leave you a comment on your myspace blog, but I was stopped cold in my tracks by this cold blow: you have to be a friend in order to post on someone's blog. I can't *believe* that you favorite sister-in-law of all time was not regarded as a friend!
