Get Ready, Get Set... 11-21-08 08:53pm EST
Grab the nearest book to you.
Open it to page 41.
Go to the 3rd paragraph.
Comment below exactly what the 2nd sentence says....

Go!
71lespaulcustom"The kid whose arm he broke -- Ender didn't feel sorry for him." Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card
simon_says"Let us see you prove it--by facing an old man in single combat"

The Best of Wolverine, Vol. 1
(Since there are no paragraphs in comic book/graphic novels, I chose the second sentence of the third 'balloon'. :) )
friedajAnd when he had shaved himself and changed his clothes, he came in before Pharaoh.
packetstorm5150do eBooks count?
kristindoula"Start by telling him that Michael Jordan was a breastfed baby and Michael Jackson was not." ~ "So that's what they're for!" by Janet Tamaro
nthnswmnSounds cheesy perhaps, but once you experience the power of a grateful heart, you will understand what a powerful antidote thankfulness is for the negative attitudes of greed, anger, and fear.
-Live your life for half the price by Mary Hunt
hooseMy third paragraph only has one sentence. So here's the first sentence: "Mariam nodded, but as desperately as she wanted to she could not bring herself to believe him." A Thousand Splendid Suns - Khaled Hosseini
pookyAt that hour the corridors were virtually deserted. - Strangers by Dean Koontz
marz"Then he careered madly, leaping and flapping all the way over to Willow, his scarlet-green wings glowing in the late afternoon sunlight."- maddy's book left on the computer desk...
hardin"He shouldn't just use Scripture as an excuse for what he already knows he wants to say." [9 Marks of a Healthy Church, Mark Dever].

Soon and very soon.... 11-15-08 01:16pm EST
buddabignbaldBeautiful.
cdawgdid you get one yet? i got teusday and thursday off, on one of those mornings i am coming to your house early in the morning :)
serenaI need to sprout some of these to get the kind of attention you give this hunting thing.

pookyHahaha
friedajOn the way home from services, we saw a BIG deer with horns and at least two or three without. The boys got really excited when they ran in front of the car. The big guy was a bit scary that close to us and knowing the kind of damage they can impart.
create_a_wayit depends...can you beat Michigan Mad Men for me in two weeks?
create_a_waymost definitely! when?
pappapNow I recognize you!!!
pablito1I have no problem with shooting/killing the deer, so long as you use the meat and hide as opposed to just killing for sport. Just my perspective. Venison anyone?

No deer, but... 11-13-08 11:18am EST
I had a bunch of turkeys come in to roost. That was amazing to watch. Wish I had my video camera.
kristindoulaAw, man. I was hoping for that bloody picture when I saw your name in white. ;-)
splitmesoupyou should have picked a few of them off and saved some money this thanksgiving!
sarahsmilewhy didn't you shoot one for thanksgiving?
dandegarmo^Don't have Fall Turkey Permit.
pookyWhat's a little permit??? That didn't stop you last year. ;)
cdawgthat would be great, i would love to get together with you and do that
cdawgi meant the outline, although hunting would be cool too, if you still want to do that in the morning just call my cell phone in the morning
dandegarmoHa
brukeYeah, it's not like it's a deer.
co_chadMy hunting is more like hiking with a gun slung across the soldier. You should come out and we'll take to the woods for a week tracking elk.

Back at it... 11-12-08 07:19pm EST
Going to give it another try tomorrow morning.
I hope to be posting pics of a bloody buck by tomorrow night.
Maybe this time I won't hit the snooze button 10 times and actually get up in my stand by 5:30am as opposed to 7:00am.

Wish me luck!
cdawggood luck
dandegarmo^come with me! - be here at five in camo gear.
cdawgi can be there friday morning then i can come back and sleep cause i'm off work
hooseBe careful. We don't want that bloody buck to be you or you. :-)
cdawgdo you think it would be alright if i talked about my "problem" when i preach?
rachelwI saw a huge buck on the side of the road the other day in broad day light. He was like a 10 point....anyhoo....I thought of you dousing yourself with deer pee.

Hunting 11-11-08 10:16am EST
Saw a 6-point (at least) this morning.
Didn't get off a shot.

My camera picked this up last night:

rachelwCool pic.
cruisingmomYou hunters are an interesting 'breed'! (pun intended)
terryfrancisDid you go look at the rub?
dandegarmoHaven't looked at that particular rub yet. There are many in and around my stand. I'm going back up now for a few hours to build a blind around my stand. I lost that shot this morning because I spooked the deer.
cdawgi know you were really in jo-ann fabric last night looking for fabric for your new dress :)
pookyIf I would've been there, I would've hopped down and wrastled the deer. No bow/gun needed. :)
