Well FL was lots of fun and I met some cool people and got to see lots that I already knew but didn't get to hangout with as much as I'd liked.
Still no job, none of the leads from FL panned out. As of right now I'm signed up for classes at the local JC just to stay on my families insurance/learn some new stuff. They don't start till the 20th of October. I may have a part time design job here in So Cal though, the sister of someone from church is over worked at her design job so she could use some part time help which would be perfect with the classes.
Found out that I don't need that surgery that I had mentioned before. Turns out I have some condition that sometimes happens with guys my age with a history of allergies called EE. Its an allergic reaction to something that increases the amount of a sub type of white blood cells in the esophagus(sp?). So for the past 10 days I've been on steroids to reduce the inflimation(sp?). Went to an allergist this past monday that was just SO much FUN! 88 pricks in my back and 10 in my arm. I'm allergic to tons of grasses, dusts, trees, and molds. Have to wait til I'm off the steroids to do a patch test for some certain foods.
The steroids have made me gain weight and make me tired but unable to sleep a lot. So I've been trying to work out a bunch in order to counter those side effects which seems to be working.
Other than all that I'm pretty bored, makes me want to be in FL again.
Monday - Dermatologist
Tuesday - Endoscopy with 48 monitor
Wednesday - Oral surgen
Thursday - Chiropractor
Friday - Cast removal, return Monitor, and sports massage
Saturday - Begin drive to Florida
Lots of medical stuff.
I'll be in FL from about the 19th/20th through the 4th so if youre out there and wanna hang out let me know.
Not much going on other than listed above, I've been really bored since breaking my thumb beacuse I havent been able to swim or work out at the gym. I also need help with lots of everyday things like tieing my shoes.
still no job yet, i had an interview a couple weeks ago, jury is still out on me getting the position. not very hopeful though.
yesterday morning i had an endoscopy(sp?) basically you cant eat after midnight the night before because they knock you out and stick a camera down your throat and take pictures of it and your stomach. From doing this they found out that i have what is called a hiatal hernea which i may have to have surgery for.
I'm kind of hoping there's some sort of alternative to surgery, most people never really seem to be in as good of shape after surgerys. Anyways, if i do end up getting the surgery i will never throw up again. Not really sure why that is, that's just what the nurse said about it.
Other than that, not much going on. Been watching the Euro 2008 tournament a lot and playing basketball with my brother and his High School friends the past few days. I really need to find people to play soccer with or I may go crazy.
That's crazy about your stomach. I hope that whatever path you take makes you feel better in the long run... and that would be kinda cool knowing that you'd never throw up again.
I don't realy think there is an alternative to surgery to fix a hiatal hernia; they will probably be able to fix it laproscopically, which is not as invasive as traditional surgery. I hope everything works out okay.
Thanks Darren:) It was pretty much the best birthday ever...got some really awesome teeshirts, had my first day at work (only orientation so it wasn't all day), and got a freaking CAR hahaha, no more ghetto cruiser! It's a '99 silver Beetle...my dream car...*sigh*
So i'm back in so Cal and have been for about a week.
its been rainy and cold most of the week ick i left KY for this what in the world.
Most of my week has been made up of cleaning my room and trying to fit everything from my apartment into a single bedroom. I still need to finish a website and build my own.
My car has been in the shop most of the week. we're trying to decide if its worth the money trying to save it or just break down and get me a new car. That would mean me picking a car, which kind of has me thinking about what car would be a good fit for me. Any ideas?
In the process of all my cleaning i read through old yearbooks and found all my happy mail from FC wow some entertaining stuff. Most of it from the same people and having to do with my birthday's or fixing computers. lol
It was nice and nostalgic, makes me wonder how so many different people are doing these days. I know about all of them will be married before summer ends.
Still need to find a job somewhere doing something, perferably degree related.
A large group of lingering Taliban soldiers is moving down a road when they hear a voice from behind a sand dune:
"One U.S. Special Forces soldier is better than 10 Taliban!"
The Taliban commander quickly sends 10 of his best soldiers over the dune whereupon a gun battle erupts, then silence.
The voice then calls out, "One U.S. Special Forces soldier is better than 100 Taliban!"
Furious, the Taliban commander sends his next best 100 troops over the dune and, instantly, a huge gunfight commences. After 10 minutes of battle, again silence.
The American voice calls out once more, "One U.S. Special Forces soldier is better than 1,000 Taliban!"
The enraged Taliban Commander musters 1,000 fighters and sends them across the dune. Cannons, rockets and machine guns ring out as a huge battle rages. Then silence.
Eventually one wounded Taliban fighter crawls back over the dune and, with his dying words, tells his commander, "Don't send any more men! It's a trap there are two of them!"
