Some of you may have already heard about this group. ACORN - Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now has been tied to alleged voter fraud in several states and is now under investigation of voter fraud in Missouri. The allegations include about 100 duplicates, and probably 280 addresses that don't exist, people who have driver's license numbers that won't verify or Social Security numbers that won't verify. Some have no address at all.
ACORN has historically sided with the Democrat Party. They allegedly will register unqualified voters especially in areas where showing valid identification is not required by the regsitrant or voter.
The main opponents of voter ID laws just happens to be ACORN. They have allegedly signed up the entire Dallas Cowboy starting lineup in Nevada, just one example of what they will do in order to get their candidate elected with no regard for law or morality.
Any argument they or others put up against showing valid identification to minimize fraud can only be thought of as being supportive of voter fraud.
The other issue which shares a common thread is that some states allow instant voting on the same day someone registers to vote. No background checks, no verification of citizenship (state of national), no address verification, . . . the list goes on. The party that depends on this type of fraud should not be trusted with running the government. The Republican party is not exempt from their share of fraud and cover-ups. However, this is just another example of the God-lessness that is rampant in politics . . . especially with regards to the Democrat Party.
But, as she said, no matter who is elected God is in control and has a purpose.
David, with a kind, caring and supportive friend like you...I don't even need any other friends! :) thanks for not bringing up certain games this week!
Yes, she was, but you wouldn't have been able to tell. She did an AWESOME job! She didn't even stutter. :) Everything went well! I love being in that class, too. I don't talk to a lot of the people in there often.
I'm practicing for District this weekend-trying to function on too little sleep, followed by an 8 hour drive home on Sunday! It's in Boise this year. Wish us luck!
at a Super 8 motel. I was kinda surprised that somebody had the guts to do it, because there's security cameeras around the building and inside it too. but this apparently wasn't the only place he robbed yesterday.
They did not make finals this weekend. They placed somewhere in the middle of all the bands, 18th I think. One judge had them placed at 7th, one at 12th and one at 27th. It's all a matter of opinion.
no i'm not... I don't pay that much attention to they're contests. Mom has been active in SAI for a while (other than just her quartet every once in a while).
In my job as a GNC manager, I have many customers who come to the store looking to change something. It is common for them to want to lose weight, gain weight, have longer hair, better looking skin, lower cholesterol, . . . basically fix something they perceive as broken. Often times, I share some of my own personal history with my customers and the conversation turns to family histories.
August 28th, I am 44 years, 6 months and 2 days old. Why so specific? My father suffered a heart attack and lived to be 44 years, 6 months and 1 day. I never focused on this day until I turned 44 earlier this year. And now, I can't get it out of my head. I remember vividly the morning my mom came home from the hospital after my father passed. She never said the words but I knew he was no longer alive. The heart attack he suffered earlier that year was so massive he had little chance of leading a normal life.
Things I've thought about if I were gone before today:
- Leaving my family
- Not seeing my kids grow in the Lord
- Not being able to grow old with my wife (I'd be the old one, not her)
- Missing my wonderful church family
There are many others. But if you know me you'll understand they were silly and I'm trying ot keep this entry somewhat serious.
So by the time most of you are reading this, I'm entering a phase of my life where I can no longer pull from experiences I learned growing up. I may not have an earthly father to help guide me. I do have a Father in Heaven who will guide me as long as I get out of the way and let Him lead me.
My mother commented on the first birthday she had that made her older than her mother lived. It must be an interesting perspective. Thanks for sharing.
Wow. Deep stuff, but I'm sure you have some father-figures at your congregation? Just live each day to the fullest, and if you do leave this earth early, yu will have a wonderful home in heaven waiting for you!
There's a lady in my TOSS class who brought in a cake for her birthday last week. During our break on Monday, she tells me that she has two birthdays; her next one will be on Christmas because she's a heart transplant recipient. The reason for needing the transplant? Chemo had damaged her heart.
I have to say that if you were gone, I don't think you'd be missing any of us:)
Wow, while I was upstairs snoring away last night, you were getting deep on Pleo. Glad you made it to 44, and praying we are blessed with MANY, MANY more years together.
my dad died when he was only 45, I think of that alot, though I still have a ways to reach that, it especially comes to mind now that we are about to have our first, all the things he missed out on, but also the thought of either one of us going at that age, scary,
My highschool chorus is singing at the Braves Game tomorrow night! I just thought I would tell you because you like singing :) And I am soooooo excited. I don't think it will be on TV. I don't know. I never watch baseball.
I reccommend a visit in mid-July, and join a bunch of us from church who go to the south Oregon coast, at Honeyman State park, and ride ATV's on the National Dunes. Wa-hoo!!!!
Thank you! I lan on having a great 44th b-day weekend! Friday night woodshedding with Evergreen friends in Portland, Saturday at the beach and seafood dinner! Nothin' better!!
Ah. We have those in Oregon, too! When I was just out of high school, there was one just down the hall from a small candy shop I worked at, and the US Olympic water polo team was there to promote something and sign posters. They were HUGE!
