Rick will not be taking that job in Columbia. They told him he'd have to train M-F from 9 to 5 until the end of December without pay. AND then pay $200 to get certified to sell insurance!!
Yeah I don't think so...So now we are back to square one. :(
The interview was more like going to a conference. All the people applying for jobs had to listen to some guy talk about the history of the company and what they do. It's more or less telemarketing for life insurance. They then had to fill out paperwork and answer yes or no on whether they wanted to be called back for a second interview.
Rick got his call back yesterday! He goes for a second interview tomorrow (Thurs.) at 2 p.m. !!! I'll keep you posted! It's not exactly what he wants to do but it's better than nothing...But for some reason his mom would rather him get a job at Food Lion cutting meat than working this job. I'm not sure I follow her logic. All we want is benefits and good money.
And he needs a job now!! Please continue to keep him in your prayers...I'll let you know when I know something more tomorrow...
Love ya~
Update! His interview has been moved up to 11 a.m. which is even better!
Ok so it's about time for me to put up a new post. Just wanted to let everyone know that Rick has a job interview in Columbia tomorrow afternoon at 3:30!! It's with some insurance company and I think it's for a managers position..if I can figure out what the place is called I'll let you know.
Please keep your fingers crossed or say an extra prayer for him tonight and tomorrow. He really needs to find a job and quick!! It's been 7 months since he had steady work and things are definitely getting tight.
I can't believe the year is almost over and sometimes I can't figure out how we made it through. It was December last year that Rick started having his medical problems and it was late March/early April when we told him he had to quit. It was going to kill him if he didn't quit. There were many times when I thought I was going to lose him. Especially when they told him he had something wrong with his heart. That was a bad day! But I'm so glad that's behind us now. I hope next year will be a better year for both of us. I'm just glad we've made it through and we've proved that we can get through anything together. I think we've grown closer as a couple because of all the things we've had to deal with. Alot of other people would have given up.
Ok I know this was a sappy post but I had to get some things off my chest and I wanted to say thank you to all of you who have been there for me and tried to help me out in anyway you could. Even if it was just a word of encouragement or a virtual hug. It has all been greatly appreciated! And you will be the firsts to know as soon as he gets a real job!
Someone wanted to see what crafts I'd made to sell so I thought I'd just go ahead and repost them here. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. I still have a lot of them left if anyone's interested in buying something, and Prices are pretty cheap! Hope you enjoy!! I'll have a few more pictures to add by this weekend I hope...

Hey, I know I haven't sent you the money yet, and it's because I haven't really remembered. I'll get it to you in plenty of time to make them for winter(ish) times. You know how FL is!
