Gasp! I actually got to see a movie the day it came out! Chris and I got to see Twilight this afternoon.
I loved it. It made me laugh and stuck closer to the book than I'd anticipated. Chris liked it, too.
Though, I will admit, I almost fainted during one scene. I really can't take gore...especially if I'm really into the movie and could see me in the characters place. (I really identified w/ Bella).

Went to Dickson last night to see Chris' mom on her birthday. It was good to see them again, and they gave us a Christmas tree and ornaments to use in our living room.
I had lunch w/ Damon and mom yesterday at Damon's school. It was pretty good for school food.
No change on the job front right now. We are convinced that Chris can do it, though!
I'm not sure what I'm doing tomorrow. Chris has to work. I'll probably work on my book and clean the house. Then maybe I'll see what my family is up to.
Thanksgiving is going to be crazy for us. Thursday lunch at my parents. Friday supper at my cousins. Saturday lunch at my grandmothers. After that I won't need to eat for a week! Good times to come, I'm sure!
I'm really having trouble keeping my violin in tune in this cold weather. It really hasn't seen any in 5 years. Plus, it's really dry in the house. I bought a humidifer that fits in my violin case today. I also got a fiddle book for Damon to start with and a book with 168 music game ideas in it. Yay. Damon is now learning "She'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain". :)
Time to go for now.
Have a great weekend!

So, three of my four Wed students made it today. The fourth is coming tomorrow with a newly fixed violin (Mr. Carpenter at The Violin Shop is wonderful).
Since the music room was very warm, I spent several hours playing violin and piano while waiting for students. I played through parts of Suzuki book 5 and 6 for violin and I'm working on the Moonlight Sonata on piano. I also played a Beethoven Violin Sonata and part of his Romance. Music is so great for cleansing the mind.
Please pray for my friend Melanie. She lost her grandmother yesterday and has to have surgery on the day that her father passed away. She really needs the prayers.
I felt very happy for most of the day. That was such a great feeling given how things have been lately. So many wonderful friends and family have been there for us already and want to help. Chris goes back to work tomorrow, so let's pray he does well with the multi-tasking.
Chris signed up for the Navy Reserves today. We'll be glad to at lesat have a little extra cash each month, and hope the reserves doesn't have to be turned into "active".
Off to find a snack w/ my hubby.

Today was good. Two good sermons, a baptism, and a singing class. After the baptism a little kid behind me exclaimed "She's all wet!". It was cute. And, we had seven in the four year old class. Usually we have five. They were fairly good given the extras.
There are three people that my main character helps in my new book. I just started on the third one. That means I just get that character fixed and wrap it up. Then the big editing...
Chris and my in-laws like it. I just hope everyone else will. It makes me laugh to write it...maybe that's a good indication.
Tomorrow is duets with my former teacher, designing printing and distributing of new business flyers, hauling off trash, talking to Navy Recruiter, and one violin student, day.
Thanks so much to everyone for the kind thoughts and prayers about my last couple of blogs. Please, please continue to pray. We are already trying to weigh as many other options as possible just to be prepared for anything. I know that God will take care of us no matter what. It's just scary waiting for His answers sometimes.
Off to watch more LOST. Those people definitely have it worse than we do...haha. ;)
Have a great week!

Thank you all for the many prayers that have alraedy been offered. Please keep them going.
Chris told me that I can tell you all what is going on so that your prayers can be specific. He is having trouble multi-tasking at work (i.e. talking on the radio, typing, and talking on the phone at the same time). I have to admit...I don't think I could do that either. Anyway, he has until January to learn how to do this stuff correctly or we will have to find him a new job.
He is very serious about possibly going into the Navy again because we know that will take care of us. But, this saddens me greatly because we will have to move again (probably to a foreign country), we will have to leave family...again, and I'll have to start my studio over...again. Plus finding a new congregation to worship with. Sigh.
There is a wonderful lady at his work who is going to do all that she can to help his situation. Please pray that she has the right knowledge to help with this.
I know I'm being selfish, but I really don't want to start over again. We're finally getting settled here and love living close to family and friends. And we love worshiping at Jackson Heights. We're finally finding our place there.
Also, please pray that my studio picks up at the beginning of the year. I had 9 students, and as soon as I had 9, two quit. They say they will come back soon...and I hope that is true. So, if you know anyone in this are who's interested in violin, voice, piano, or Kindermusik (ages 3 months to 7 years), please let me know.
I know God will do what is best for us...It's just so hard to keep thinking that.

We really could use some prayers right now. Chris came home with upsetting news. If things don't work out he might have to change jobs or we might have to move again. I'm tired. I really wish things would quit going wrong.
