Hello everyone, Well, Hailey's wedding is over and it all went very well ( with the help of Brenda and Virginia). I was thinking during all the travelling and bustle of the wedding that things would get calmer after. NOT!!! Now we have Thanksgiving and then close on it's heals Christmas!! I am not really ready for either, but then it is always like this. I would just like things to get back to normal, but this is normal. One thing after another, running in circles, trying to get everything done. I guess in reality, I love it, the chaos and planning of things. We are having 16 people for Thanksgiving and then I need to get shopping done. There are gingerbread houses to make, cookies and candy, decorating, lights on the house before it snows, loved ones from church up for a brunch. So much to do...let the chaos begin!!!!
i am the same way, now that wedding and shower season are over, it is time to make the christmas presents, cook for thanksgiving and bake for christmas! :) when it is over, i know i'll end up sick! boo
I was wanting Carol's email to send her Deb's sight for the bows. You can still send it to me though and I might shoot her an email. I know I am no way ready for the holidays. We still have Jill's wedding and I am working on dresses for that and have a convention to go to right after Thanksgiving for a week. I keep thinking it will slow down but I sure don't know when.
It is crisp and cool. The leaves are fluttering through the air and piled up around the base of the trees like a blanket of gold. It smells like fall and I want to bake apple pie, have hot chocolate and watch a chick-flick. I LOVE this time of year!!!!
Hi my Mom! I know I haven't talked to you in a while. Brenda said she sent you a CD with wedding pictures that Alan took of the wedding! I wish we could scrapbook too. I really would like to but I can't get it all out right now, that would just add to the crazy mess I alreadly have! Love you!
We have been very busy. We painted the outside of our house and that took about 2 months of weekends!! We had to get it done before the snow came. We did it!!!!!! And the snow came. What timing.
We have had snow the earliest ever since we've been here. I still love it!!!
We leave Saturday for AZ for the wedding!!! Lots to do. We are excited to see everyone and to add a member to our family!!
Our Hailey is here!!! We are having fun being together for the last time as the 5 Phillips's. We haven't been just the 5 of us in a long time...since she went to FC!! I thought she would love sleeping in her room, but she sleeps with her sisters and is catching up on girl stuff. For some reason she does NOT want to go cut firewood! I don't understand. Well, it is the last time our family will be the 5 of us, but we are so happy to add another!!! We love Mindle!!! He is a wonderful, Godly young mad and he loves our Hailey!! What more could we ask?? Hey!!! Change is good!!!!!
How neat for all of you! Enjoy! Doesn't like to cut firewood! Don't understand that either! Thank you for your prayers for Chuck! His 2 yr. old asked me yesterday after hours of playing, "Grandma is my daddy going to be ok?" It was the most precious moment!
Dawndi, it's so good to hear from you and everything happening in your life. I know you are super busy with planning a wedding. When is it? I am so happy for your Hailey in finding such a Godly man. Our Steven married a very sweet, Godly woman last December. They are so happy and we are happy for them. They'll be here on around 1st anniversary. We are looking forward to seeing them so much. Dawndi, I feel the same way. It is the most sickening thing when I see bumper sticker on the left saying "Save the whales" Then on the right "Pro Choice" These people can't let themselves see that babies are a life from conception, they would know they are wrong." These people can't see their own evil, it would bother them to much. So they dive into another cause to make themselves feel good. To the normal mind it is insane. And have you noticed that when the ungodly write their thoughts down it is considered a statment by brilliant minds. When a Christian writes their opinion down it is hate speech & they are idots for thinking what they do? People are so discouraged about the Republican party & how they have let the Christian community down. Well we see in the scriptures where things go so bad that God gave David the choice between 2 evils. He chose the lesser of the evils and numbered the people. I think that is what we have been dealing with in all elected officals for years now. And it should be a constant reminder that we fight this spiritual battle daily. And we should never be silent because we are called names. Appointing government officials to run this country is part of that battle. I pray for all to understand how serious this is.
The other thing I am seeing, is that so many who believe in pro-choice say they would never have an abortion themselves but can't take that choice away from all. I think they ease their minds to think they would never do this.
Hey Dwandi, Hailey brought her dress down and I will get it taken up for her. she is so sweet we just loving having her here. I am going to do Chelsie and Brit's dress when you guys get here the week before the wedding. I have them cut out and ready to go. Let me know if you need me to do anything else.
Hi Dawndi, it's Becky C. Jill was just home for her last visit before she gets married. We had so much fun in the short time she was here. Brenda and other ladies from church had a gift card shower for her, everyone was so generous! We should be seeing you soon, it's almost time for Hailey and Mindle's wedding. We're looking forward to it and seeing you guys again.
Well, I did my traffic school time. It took 4 hours of my day. I am now a more safe and defensive driver. Assuming that I passed the test! Gasp. I got so nervous. What is my problem? I think it is doing the test and on the computer that had me spooked. I was told that it was no big deal and it wasn't. It was just time consuming and a bit corny. You be very good and keep safe behind the wheel so you don't have to go through what I have. Oh the drama!!! Hope you all have a great weekend. Tah-tah for now.
