Well.. It has been awhile since I have updated. Things are crazy crazy around here. I started my job on Tuesday. We had an 11 hr drive on monday night home from Ohio, which was exhausting. We had a BLAST in Ohio. The group at bath road had a Luau starting and 9:00 AM and we left at about 10:00 pm. THey roasted a PIG (tail and all) in the ground for dinner. It was actually pretty tasty!

The house(townhome) is coming along. We just got a bunch of stuff from ohio, so stuff is everywhere again, BUT it will have to be done by next weekend because Chris's parents are coming down the 18th. It should be interesting.. right now you can't even really walk into the guest bedroom.

Ahh well enough about boring stuff like houses. :)

I am really glad to be starting a job. It has all ladies working here which makes it nice. I have been feeling a little lonely with no other families to really do things with. Our summer plans are all coming up so quickly though. i doubt i will have time to think about that.

seattle22	Pig eh? I have heard of that, but never actually met anyone that does that, but cool that you got to try it! sounds like things are going well for yall! Definately post some pics of the new place when you get done! Love you!

Kelly always says 'a stranger is just someone you have not made friends with yet'. Have fun putting the rest of your 'stuff' away. It was great seeing you. Every time I see you proves why Kelly loves you so much!

mksal81	Hi I just wanted to know if you are still looking for a church in NC? Me and my husband live in Goldsburg NC for 2 to three yrs and our son was born there. We went to a church of Christ called Oak Forrest Road Church of Christ and we still keep in contact with them. IF you want I will get the address and phone number for you if you have not already found a church. It is right close to walmart not far from the base and off of interstate. We Finally have Internet :)

YAY what an awesome week this has been, but a little crazy. On Wednesday we moved in! This past weekend my parents brought our washer and dryer and new dining room table down. We received our stuff on monday. I have never seen people act so rude in my life, but I am just happy to have our things. It was like x-mas opening up all my kitchen stuff :)

I am currently looking for a job, so once again I am updating my resume and sending it out.

Has anyone heard of something called a pounding for women? Well the lovely ladies at Clayton gave me a pouding on sunday, but they no longer can buy pounds of flour and sugar etc, they got me smaller packages and other food items. I was superdedooperdie excited.

Life is good. God is great! :)


cruisingmom	WooHoo for the internet hookup...WooHoo for new stuff...WooHoo for job hunting??? A pounding? That sounds painful but if you enjoyed it...whatever floats your boat! :o) That sounds fun and practical to help stock your pantry. You are correct...Life is good. God is great!

Its getting HOTT here! :)

For everyone who knows me really well I LOVE summer and the heat so I am thrilled to be outside even when its in the 90's!

I have been getting these really bad headaches and the past few days my tummy hasn't really agreed with me. Today I am so thankful that I haven't gotten sick. I have been praying that my headaches will go away before Chris makes me go to the doctor.

Everyones blog is full of awesome things that they are doing this summer. I have been praying for eveyone's safety and for all the upcoming marriages that will and have begun this summer. Its so exciting for everyone!

Thanks to everyone for there comment on meeting on sunday nights. I hope that it did not come across as I was thinking ill of this congregation for not meeting on sunday night. With not growing up in the church and only being a member of 2 congregations, I had just not heard of that.

We made it!!

Life is great here and I can't complain! We got to Goldsboro, NC on saturday. We got a "tour" of the base. I don't know if you call a 2 minute drive around a tour.. but I found out where the shopping is! We have both been a little worried about finding a congregation, we only found 2 that are an hour away. It turns out the one of them is liberal. Luckily on Sunday we went to one in Clayton, NC which is a "55 minute" drive according to Chris. I am just thankful that there is a sound one! It is a small group around 50 people. We are placing membership this sunday. Has anyone heard of a group not meeting on sunday evening? I thought that it was strange that they dont.

We have been apartment shopping this week, well sorta.. they only have like 10 communities in the whole town.. so there was NOTHING available, but we were lucky and got one that was built in 2004 and right around the corner from the base. We move into our place on the 11th. I can't wait!!!!!!

I hope that everyone is doing wonderfully!

OHHH and we got a WII! I love it! :)

iamchriswindham	I know of a couple of small congregations that don't meet on Sunday night because of the number of elderly people that have a hard time getting out for another service.
seattle22	My best friend in WA went to school in a small town with a congregation of about 40...they didn't have evening service either. Although one Sunday night a month they got together and had a singing. This girl is sooo jealous you have a WII...I love those things. I was pricing them on ebay...who has that kind of money anyways!!! haha Love ya girl- ya'll take care!

sparker	the congregation where my parents attend has varying Sunday "evening" activities which can include not having anything so that families can spend time together also congregations made up of people who have to commute a distance often do away with the evening service (which would make your total commute 4 hours instead of 2)
cruisingmom	It is great to hear that all is going so well. Sorry the group you will assemble with is so far. You and Chris will be able to do lots of 'chatting' on your drives. To bad you can not play Wii in the car, oh wait...that would not be good at all! :o) There are many groups that do not meet on Sunday evening. Upper Manhattan, where Kelly assembles only meets in the AM. With gas prices as high as they are and as far as you will be driving, it will be a blessing. I am hoping we will get to see you one of these days. We know the preacher at the Walnut Street church of Christ in Cary. Chris knows him too, Rick Billingsley from Englewood. We would like to visit the Billingsleys and maybe swing down to see y'all too. Have fun moving in and getting settled in your first apartment. How exciting!! I am so happy for the two of you and love ya bunches!!! Yes, it was announced about the Lenhart family. We are hoping you/Chris can get an address to us so we can send cards to the family.

skidget	Each congreation does things different. If alot of the members drive a long ways, they may just meet once. Glad y'all found a congregation!
tickledpink0421	I know of a few congregations that don't meet on Sunday nights, mainly because alot of the members drive a long way. Or like my stepdad's in Bastrop, they meet at 4:30 on Sunday evenings so the elderly people can get home before it gets dark. Glad to hear you're doing so well!
matidwell	Came across your blog, we live in Apex, NC, near Raleigh. I'm familiar with the Clayton group b/c a group of our members in Cary started that group about 5-6 years ago since they were commuting so far. We also meet once on Sundays (though we do have a couple of afternoon services twice per month) and the Clayton group continued that when they started. And, as others have said, it was done that way b/c of members driving a long way. Clayton is a good group and welcome to NC!

I am sooo thrilled that he made it home (home being wherever i am)! We have a crazy couple of weeks coming up, but I am more then ready for it!!! You can see his blog if you want all the little details ;)

I am so excited about going to cheesecake factory tomorrow!

I am so excited about moving into our place! We are currently looking up places in Goldsboro online right now!
