So this post is for mom and anyone else that cares... since i used all of my minutes this month due to the many guests and family that came to see me for 1000k. I am either leaving for Wilmington Tuesday night or early Wednesday since M's parents are so kind to give me Wed. off also. I am excited Meghan is coming for Thanksgiving, and I get to see my family and the church family there in Wilmington!
Last weekend I went to a nerd party in Concord with my p.i.c....it was soooo much fun!!! I guess if I had fun at a nerd party that makes me a nerdalicious but I already knew that. I'll try to get the pictures on here...I already have them on facebook so feel free to look there.
Things are going great work is work but most of the time its fun. I woke up with no voice and a cough on Tuesday, which was strange since I was not yelling or using my voice any different that the norm. I am soooo glad for Mucinex, it does wonders along with apples and applesauce (ha ha ha). Today I am much better although its getting close to the time for more of the drugs. =)
Well got to turn in for the night since I am going to see the Trans-Sibrean Orchestra tomorrow night with amanda H. Have a good Gobbler Day filled with many thanks to God!
What a wonderful weekend it has been! 1000 Voices this year was and is so uplifting, it makes me want to go to Heaven even more! So many lovely people were there that I haven't seen in eons and I loved being able to worship God with them and be edified. If you haven't been to 1000 Voices then plan to come next year or come to Mountain Voices in May!
I realized I had not updated in a really long time; i am on facebook a lot more, look me up! God has blessed me with so many things this month and week. It is such a beautiful experience to be a child of God and see God working in your life and in others. I pray that what God has blessed me with this month I will use to His glory. I am so glad God is in control of my life and not me. I know I am being very vague in my descriptions of the goings on but since I am not a goldmember at the present I really don't like to name names and details along those lines. =)
I am really excited for Thanksgiving in two weeks!!!! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday since its all about food and sharing a day of being appreciative for everything God has graciously given. Time certainnly is fleeting as I get older and it makes Thanksgiving day even more special. Speaking of getting older, my partner in crime got me front row tickets for the avett brothers show in dec. for my birthday!!! I am soooooo excited for that!!!! Well I have to prepare for work and spend some more time with Meghan. Lord willing I won't take another month to update!
I miss you already! I'm so glad I got to see you and hug your neck...I promise I will try and come up and hang out whenever life slows down! Love you and miss you!
I hope I can make it to 1000 Voices next year. We had a prior commitment this year and couldn't come, but I heard it was absolutely wonderful! I'm glad things are going well for you - love to "hear" (or read?) your enthusiastic, positive attitude, too!
Fall is HERE!!! The leaves are changing colors and am hoping to go to Hanging Rock to take some pictures. Being up there in the mountains is such a spiritual uplift! From the blue sky to the waterfalls, it all declaires God made them all for His glory. Fall is my favorite time of year, essentially most plants are decaying but I still love it and the smells!
Been here and there and every which way in between the last couple of months. Went to TN and alabama a couple weeks ago and had a smashing time with my partner-in-crime. Came back and had an interesting week which I won't talk about b/c I'm now not a goldmember and can't do the private entry. On a good note I have become excellent texter but I NEVER text while driving that's just dangerous! I am now in the process of looking for a part time gig on the weekends so I can pay off the credit card before I go to school. I am crackin' down on the budget and tightening the riggins'so I can get everything situated before I add more student loans. =)
One thing that I keep thinking about is 1 Thess 4 & 5 b/c of tonights bible study. I just thought it was really interesting and it made me realize how much I am looking forward to being with God and seeing all my loved ones. While we were reading the passage tonight it made me think of Seth. His birthday is week from this Monday...so much has gone on in a year. What little did I know how much he would change my life and others he had never met before. It is amazing to see God working still through Seth's birth, short life, and death. Even more amazing and awesome is God working thorugh His son Jesus' birth, short life, death and thankfully resurrection every day with so many people. That scripture just makes me want to tell more and more people about how to be reconciled to God so we can be with Him eternally like God intended. Such a thought is so scary physically but spiritually it sounds wonderful.
That's my 50 million thoughts for you, that have gone every which way possible so take it or skim it! ha ha ha! Hope ya'll have a great week and hope to see some of ya'll at 1000 Voices!!
I love fall too for the exact same reasons! Sorry I couldn't go hiking with you this week. :( Maybe next week we can do something. :)
When are you going back and for what? To finish your degree?
Great thoughts honey! *hugs* :)
Yeah been meaning to update for the last three-four weeks but haven't actually gotten around to donig that. Its been craziness as usual with me. For two weeks I was sick from all the blooming things but can't really complain about that since spring is one of my favorite times of the year. I discovered the wonders of Zyrtec and I amn now living on it untill everything stops blooming but all is good with the sickness I am well again now counting almost two weeks.
This past week as been stellar since I only had to work two days this past week. Don't get me wrong I love my job but it was so nice to be off especially to catch up on sleep and appreciate the nice weather. Wednesday Danielle and I went hiking at Hanging Rock. It was incredible when we reached the top but boy was it hard getting there! I think I burned well over 5 billion calories! While at the top, I climbed in a cave and Danielle climbed on a ledge to take the picture of me peaking out of a crevice. The pictures turned out well maybe someday I'll get them on here.
Meanwhile my fight with geomtry is not going well since geomtry is winning! I really hate math but such is life and unfortunately math is on the GRE. I never realized how much I like learning new words. I've mastered 42 this week but I can't dazzle ya'll with my GRE approved vocabulary, they tend to come and go as they please and never come on demand.
Well I need to go finish my bible lesson for tomorrow and get some sleep. Maybe one day I'll be able to catch up on all of ya'll's blogs. =) Oh yeah only 5 more weeks till Mary anne and I see The Swell Season in concert!!! WOOT WOOT!!
Isn't amazing what exercise does for you! Ya'll know me and that I absolutely hate getting up portion of it but recently since joining the gym and having a personal trainer I am starting to actually like it. I still and I don't think I will ever like the getting out of bed so stinkin' early portion but I do like the results! I know its a saturday morning and I should be sleeping in till 12 BUT I made an appointment with my trainer at 8 this morning since I have stuff planned for the rest of the day. I am so glad I got my butt out of bed to make it there. I am feeling better about myself and it seems I have more energy.
Good news is that Kaila, my personal trainer is going to be studying together for the GRE. She's weak in the vocabulary and reading which are my better portion and she's is great at math so she will be helping me out with that. also I think this will be a great opportunity to share the gospel with her. So please pray for her heart and both of us!
I am excited for a spa day with some of my S.I.S.T.E.R.S. for a couple of hours. I have been looking forward to this all week. On non-related Molly things, I am really enjoying my time with her she is becoming such a sweet little person. I really can't wait for her baby brother to be born! I realize it will be twice the work but there will be even more fun and little baby love to go around.
Have a great weekend and don't forget to spring forward, which I don't like at all!
I missed something...I didn't know Molly was going to have a little brother! And congratulations to you for getting into the routine of exercise. I was doing really good up until about November and have slacked off for sickness, out-of-town-ness, and I'm feeling like a bowl of jelly walking around, thirsting to get started again! And I shall!!
I always enjoy reading about Molly, I don't remember, how old is she again and when is her baby brother due? In my mind it seems like they'll be close in age, but I really have no basis at all. Anyway, you're totally right about the getting up and working out thing, it's like you can totally dread going until you actually get outta bed and then it's like, oh now it's on! :) Good for you for getting up and doing it!
Sorry we keep missing each other. My phone does not work well in this hotel. I will try to catch you sometime. Hopefully Danielle will get her makeup from me today.
We used to live in Smyrna! That is where we moved when we left Wilmington and before we came here. You are more than welcome to come and visit that weekend if you are able...just give us a call! I doubt that my family will be around that weekend...Jeremy's cousin is getting married in FL the following weekend and they will be busy preparing for that. My family has a memorial walk for my mom in Oneida TN on the 18th and we haven't decided for sure if I will be going (too close to due date) but my sisters definitely will. My point is that we will be around...love to see you, so be in touch once it gets a little closer to that time.
