I really did need to post, so I decided to simply put up a few pictures of...can you guess it...OUR DOGS!!
Hehe, obviously, they are my favorite subjects to photograph. They are very good about having their pictures taken, much better than most of the humans I know, and they are SO photogenic!
*grins* Anyway, here are my beautiful darlings, in all of their...splendor. ;)
In this picture, Freya was viciously guarding her bone from all who passed. Arwen was simply walking by with no evil intentions, and Freya was growling rudely. Aragorn took his chance, and stole the bone. He actually got away with it too. :D
This is my handsome prince charming! Doesn't he have a noble profile?
He just looked so absolutely kingly, that I had to post this one as well...
I think that Thor looks rather princely. Normally, he looks somewhat guilty when sitting on furniture...not that he needs to...it's allowed in this household. :D
This is our demented little princess's favorite game. Daddo is gently nipping at her with his hand, and she is twitching, growling, and making the most bizarre noises. Have you ever heard Chewbacca, in StarWars? Yeah...that's what it sounds like...
I don't know why she did it. Mum says it was the sunlight, but I say that Freya was just being cheeky. Um...when I STARTED to take the picture, she was just looking cute. Then, I snapped the picture, took one look, and went into a state of shock. I mean...are dogs SUPPOSED to wink at you?!
Maybe you noticed in the corner of the blog. I actually DID post ONE picture of a person. Myself actually. I don't normally do that, because I can RARELY find a picture of myself that I like.
...I'm a terribly picky person. ;P
There. My duty is done. Now I must be off. Toodle pip, an all that, wot wot!
Love the winking dog picture! It is as if she understood what you are doing, and was letting you know that it would be your little secret that she knew. I mean, do dogs really want people to know how smart they REALLY are? My dog trainer that I had with my first dog said that he was so smart, I could teach him to make the coffee!
I've played very little of the Fianl Fantasy series, and I don't think I've played any of Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross. But I've watched a lot of them being played by Nathan and my cousin Jason, mainly. Some I've seen basically the whole thing, such as FFVII and FFX, and others I've about nothing of, such as some of the earliest Final Fantasies, and FFX-2. But they are good games. =) Though I'd say you'll probably want to avoid FFX-2, since from what I've heard, it doesn't have an outstanding story line, and the main characters are female, and have about one costume (X-2 has the characters wear different costumes to have different abilities.) each that is modest (Which are big fat fluffy costumes of creatures in the game.). I really don't care that I didn't get to see really any of that game. :) But I know most of them are good. And they all have great music. Especially FFVI, FFVII, and FFX. (Though I know of good songs from many of them.) And probably FFVIII too. :P
Yes my dad is somewhat allergic to dogs. Not as much as he is to cats but still. Anyways, there's no room for dogs to live in my house. Our backyard is TINY as well :P
I KNOW!!! that pic is awesome!! lol. I don't like getting rid of old comments because I'm still havin conversations haha. so I just edit what I need to.
Lol and yes. However, *coughcough* your bro showed me a pic of your family before so yeah xD I didn't need to think much about it. He once told me that he thought I look like you :D Isn't that cool? And that is seriously a VERY gorgeous pic of you!! You look so pretty :D:D:D Most pics of me don't turn out so well xD
Hmm.... Maybe FFVI. I know VII, VIII, IX, X, and X-2 are Playstation/Playstation 2 games. I don't know for sure about XI or any after that. (I'm not completely sure what they are up to either. It might be XIII. :P) But I believe they are remaking the earlier Final Fantasies for the DS and/or the Gameboy Advance. I just don't know what all they've gotten remade yet. I think they may have also been changing them to 3D. Chrono Trigger I think may have been a SNES game. Chrono Cross is a Playstation, or Playstation 2 game I think. Sorry. I don't know that I'm a whole lot of help. :P I would research it for you, but I'm not sure that I'll have time tomorrow, and we're leaving the next day. We have a few things to finish and all our packing to do, and who knows what else before we leave. :P
So. I know that today is a relatively frightening day for some people. I'm not too fussed though... :)
It's all in God's hands, and His will shall be done. :D I'm just going to pray, and move on in my life. ;)
Today was pretty interesting. We DID get off math, because we went with the parents to vote. The "Town Hall" in Moody, where the voting was taking place, was an absolute zoo. (*wonders* Where did that phrase come from? Is it imposing that the people are acting like animals? o_O)
*ahem*
Anyway...my siblings and I waited in our church building. It is about five minutes walk down the road from the town hall. We waited (in the building with the doors locked) for about 45 minutes with the baby as well. It wasn't that bad. I mean...we were all bored to tears, but there you go. ;)
After the 45 minute wait in the building, Josh was getting VERY antsy, so I called the parents and Mum walked to the church building, loaded us all up in the car, and brought us back to the town hall with her. We found some friends of ours, so we chilled in line with them for about an hour. Once they were in the building, we walked back to the place where they were waiting.
After another hour and a half, we finally got into the building and Mum and Daddo began to vote.
Upon entering the building, I immediately noticed several paramedics gathered around an elderly man, sitting in one of the chairs. The man's wife was sitting next to him, holding his hand. The paramedics were giving him an IV, and he had an oxygen mask on.
After they finished, they brought in a stretcher, and loaded him onto it. He was wheeled out (his wife following), and they put him into the waiting ambulence.
We were on our way out, when I observed a lady in line lean toward the passenger seat of the ambulence, where the wife was sitting. She asked if they had gotten to vote, and the wife shook her head and said "no".
Everyone looked horrified, as they drove out.
All-in-all, I count my blessings that nothing happened like that to us. Yes, the waiting was awful, but at least we managed to vote, and we were safe.
*sighs*
I dislike the mayhem involved in politicalness. (Yes, I just invented a word.)
So. How was "voting day" for everyone else?
I must be off now. My sisters and I are going to relax by watching a movie. Most likely The Phantom Menace (Star Wars I), or Night At the Museum.
(Just a note...I don't really like Star Wars since they released number 3, and I was obliged to go to the theater and watch it. Bleh.)
Could be better. Could be worse. :) That about sums it up at the moment. Just really ready to move on to the next chapter of life. But that's not going to happen for another year and a half. Trying to enjoy the "now" and not be so discontent with it. Thanks for asking! And you?
Yeah, "GAY" is the buzz word for whatever you think is weird or annoying... I tried to fight it at first, but our preacher said to pick my battles, and that buzz words die out in time...I hope it dies really soon!
I have no clue what the code for electric blue is! Although it did make quite a shocking shade of pink! Have you ever seen what color your name is. My name is kelsey.
Interesting. I wondered if it was something like that.
I only know her through Pleo. I stumbled across her blog one day, liked something she had posted, and said hello. I've never actually met her.
You know, everytime the word "SUPERCALAFRAGALISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS" is mentioned, I feel like singing the word xD Probably because my friend always sings it whenever she says it :P
You'll be WHERE for Thanksgiving? Well, sorry you'll miss the green bean casserole! (not to mention my homemade bread and whatever Tia decides to make)
FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ho yes, mates and matesess, a temperature of 65-70 ALL DAY!!!!!!!
*sighs contentedly*
So, what is the temperature in your areas?
Anyway, enough about the weather. Has anyone been reading any good books, or seeing any good movies lately?
I've just finished reading Inkdeath, which is the third and final book in the Inkheart Trilogy. It was a stupendous finale, with a marvelous, twisting and turning story line! The plot was brilliant, the language was minimum, and the underage kissing was nearly nonexistant!
Some things turned out wrong, but most things turned out right.
*looks happy*
Just the way a book ought to end. *throws baleful glare at Harry Potter 7*
Anyway, I had also read Doomwyte directly before Inkdeath, and it too was amazing! However, I fear that Doomwtye was the finale of the the 20 book, totally epic, Redwall series!!!!!!!!
Brian Jacques, the author of Redwall, is my favorite author.
I would completely suggest THE ENTIRE 20 book Redwall series. Here they are, by name and order of book. (Taken out of the most recent book, Doomwyte...)
Redwall (the first book...the story of Matthias.)
Mossflower (before the Abbey was built...the story of Martin)
Mattimeo (the story of the third "M" ;)
Mariel of Redwall (a mousemaid with an attitude)
Salamandastron (BADGERS AND MOUNTAINS AND HARES, OH MY!)
Martin the Warrior (the warrior spirit of Redwall)
The Bellmaker (exactly what it says)
Outcast of Redwall (a first in the history of the abbey)
Pearls of Lutra (seven of them, to be exact)
The Long Patrol (HARES!!)
Marlfox (oooh...murdurous creatures, to be sure...)
The Legend of Luke (the father of Martin)
Lord Brocktree (I LOVE BADGERS!)
Taggerung (*shrieks excitedly* THIS IS THE BEST BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!)
Triss (a squirrelmaid with an attitude...)
Loamhedge (where the first Abbess came from!)
Rakkety Tam (Ach...ye'd best be prepared, ye ken? ;)
High Rhulain (Otters are amazing.)
Eulalia! (EEEEEUUUUULLLLAAALLLIIIAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Doomwyte (Beware the Wytes!)
That took a while. O_o
I would SERIOUSLY suggest that you read those! They may be about woodland creatures, but they are GOOD!
If they were movies, then they would be rated PG13, for violence. I tell you, mate, the warlords in those books. Man...they kill at the drop of a dime.
Ask anyone who's read the books. They are NOT your typical animal story. :D
There are FEASTS that will make you DIE for want of them! I mean...EVERY SINGLE FEAST is decribed IN FULL! Every item on the table is mentioned, and you're sitting there DROOLING!
Hehe, I've made some of the food and IT IS GOOD!
Anyway, not only are there feasts, but there are MAJOR battles between good and evil.
There are pirates of every kind on the seas... corsairs, buccaneers, your foppish little goody-goodies...
Also, there are Badger Lords who rule over the Hares of Salamandastron. They are most often consumed by the Bloodwrath, which turns them into berserkers.
Then, there's the Long Patrol. A group of amazing warrior hares!
There's the Gousim..."Guerilla Union Of Shrews In Mossflower"
There's TONS of different vermin who form bands and try to do evil...
Then, there's the Redwallers!!!!!
Man, I've not even gotten started.
We're reading them out loud every night, and we're on Martin the Warrior.
Slaves, who rebel against the evil Badrang. It's amazing. ;)
Really, they aren't children's stories. They are for ANYONE!
I'm fourteen, and these are MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!
Hehe, and if this doesn't sound like your forte, then try on The Castaways of the Flying Dutchman for size. Three books, all about a boy and his dog. :)
"Forever to wander the earth, doing good, and helping those in need."
The Castaways of the Flying Dutchman
The Angel's Command
The Voyage of Slaves
*grins*
Brian Jacques is the best story teller there is. :D
(Next to J. R. R. Tolkien and LOTR, of course. But seeing as he can't tell any more stories... *looks sorrowful*)
So, anywho...
I've run out of things to type, so toodle pip!
(a phrase from Redwall...or...rather, the Hares of Salamandastron...) :D
All of that naughtyness and you still read it? (Must be good..) lol. jk. I was speaking of any movie genre that people find most appealing (other than the questionable genre) Comedies are my forte` I love making people laugh. :p As far as music genre, I could care less about what other people fancy, (i.e. Highschool musical, Hannah Montana, Jonas Bros. ect.) I like Film Scores. Batman, The Dark Knight has the best music I've ever listened to!!
I love the Redwall series too! It's the only series my bro actually likes to read. We only have a few but I think my bro's planning on buying all of them. So I hear Doomwyte's good :D
You can't live in our house and not love football. It's something we all enjoy watching together and us girls love all the cool Alabama shirts we get to wear ;)
Thanks BTW. The Encounter was writen by me but the story's actually true. My teacher last year told me this. I just changed a few things here and there but it's pretty much the same. Oh and yes, it was Thanksgiving yesterday :D:D It was AWESOME
Whoops sorry about that. Hope you dont' have to do too much when you add me :P It's a whole lot easier for me with only a few friends. And yes, everyone one of them is special. Especially, including, you and your bro!! *bigsmile*
Not a whole lot. One of the ladies from church took mother out for lunch, and we are going out for dinner tonight. Last night, we tried to make chili rellenos, but that didn't go too well. They were eatible. But they were a bit bitter and otherwise had almost not flavor at all. And other things were not working out very well either. But she appreciated the attempt (She didn't ask us to do them. And I can very well see why she doesn't make things like that. ;P). But today we are making a lemon cream cheese pie, which she *did* ask for. It's in the oven right now. =)
The cool thing is my dog was named Esme way before the books were written. I have just always thought it was a great name! Of course that made me love the books even more (if that were possible...).
ooh... i love spiders! i used to have a mason jar filled with some weeds and i put some spiders in it and fed them flyes around the house, and i even named the spiders and my favorite spider was shelob and she even had little baby spiders, yep, call me weird.
The video doesn't have anything morbid in. It's just a dude playin' a violin. Although, it is kind of emotional, so you might find it slightly depressing anyway. It's okay if you don't wanna watch it. I just thought I'd let you know that it may be a little safer than you might think. :)
Thanks for the B'day wishes! Yes! I got to go and get a pedicure (once in a hundred year thing!) and then had veggie lasanga, angel food cake and chocolate dipped strawberries. And of course I got a few presents too! =)
Apparently I WAS tagged twice. This is most aggravating.
1.) I am currently listening to my sister playing Animal Crossing, and therefore, I am listening to the nonsensical babbling of the little characters whom she speaks to. O_o
2.) I get nosebleeds all the time for no reason. (I had five such nosebleeds in the space of about 5-6 hours yesterday in the morning....)
3.) I absolutely love reading about medieval times, and old-fashioned pirates. The pirates are most fascinating, but should not be read about by squeamish people. o_o
4.) I LOVE playing with baby toys. You know, those lovely little grocery stores with all of the food, and those charming little kitchens with tons of little pots and pans to organize and store away in sweet little cabinets that REALLY open?!
5.) I love to organize other people's things. However, the two rubbermades which contain random things of mine...those are another story altogether...
6.) I abhor reading anything that has to do with politics, government, or US History.
7.) I'm a MAJOR fantasy freak, and I listen to music with nerdy lyrics. ("and the only sound that will break the air, is the warriors bitter cry!" - Starfire, by DragonForce)
8.) I'm going to Wal-Mart with my sisblings and Mum. Sarah and I will most likely just sit in the car (with the doors locked) and listen to music. :D (They'll only be in there for a few minutes...)
ooh! more! I like to sit in the car and read/cross stich/listen to music rather than go in to stores. Depends on the stores, usually, and how long they'll be in there.
So you have out-of-the-blue nosebleeds as well? Dad used to too. He said Vitamin C helps, so I'm going to see about starting a habit of drinking some orange juicy daily, like he does....
Ha. Maybe someone can encourage you to overcome #6...I must admit, though, that those are my least favorite subjects. I much prefer WORLD history to US...
My tagging will come after my camp update...tonight? Tomorrow? We'll see...
It's actually a sequel to another book, The White Order. Modesitt has a series of over a dozen novels all set in the same world, just at different time-frames to give a history to things mentioned in the earlier books. He has a very interesting system of magic and does a wonderful job of story-telling. The only problem is he does include some implications that I wish weren't there. -_-
Aw! thank you! I used to be really into it, but then I kinda grew out of it, but who knows.. maybe I'm getting back into it. =) Han and I wanna take some of ourselves today, but we'll see if that works out. ;)
It's been quite a while since I read the Belgariad and the Mallorean, so it's hard for me to say if one series has more than another or not. Except Modesitt's might have more since I think there might be more books... and each of his books are usually near 500 pages, I think.... =P
