Overall, I loved the movie. It brought some things to life about the book and that goes a long way. Yes, they left out parts and changed a few details but overall I don't think it really made a whole lot of difference to the story they were telling. Honestly, I think if they had stuck to the book there would be several boring parts (not that the book is boring just the translation to on screen would have made it such.)
I was a lot more impressed with Edward than I thought I'd be. He always looked way creepy to me but the movie took away some of that. I wasn't sure how they would convey his stone hard skin but they seemed to have played up the angles of the actor's face. I was also impressed with the meadow scene in that the sparkling skin was not too fake.
Some of the special effects were slightly cheesy but from what I've read the movie had a relatively small budget. So given that it was great. Plus, how do you really portray running through trees and moving faster than the eye can see?
For readers of the books the movie will give a visual to much of the book. You will recall many of the details that the movie left out and really see the full picture.
For those non-readers I still suggest going. If for no other reason that it's a decently clean movie. Aside from that you will still get sucked in like Marshall and Jennah did. Don't be surprised if you want to read the books after seeing it.
I'm ready to go see it again! I don't think I would have to twist Marshall's arm to go again with me. That should say something.
So what are you waiting for? Go see it already!

Just a routine public post.
Comment if you want to be added. If I want you to know my business I'll add you to my list! :) If I don't add you, well, you figure it out.
Note: I'm not kicking anyone off my list right now. Though you can keep telling me how much you would miss reading about my life or how much it would hurt to be denied as a real friend (you know you can't be a real friend unless you're on my list.) |

I deleted some people off my list simply because you haven't commented on my blog in forever or your own blog is so ridiculously outdated.
If you want back on let me know I really don't mind.
If you weren't ever on my list and want on let me know, I'll probably add you. |
