I talked to Jason a little bit ago and told him some people from the church there would be giving him a call to see about picking him up for church. They either are or have been in the AF so they have access to the base and know where everything is. So I hope it works out OK for him. I'm glad he's there within your reach.
Bruce is in Tampa this weekend. He said he would take the job in a heartbeat but the insurance is sky-high. About a $750.00 per month increase in cost. I thought for sure we would have an answer today but it just keeps getting harder. How are things with you and yours?
yuck. how are you suppose to read that many books for class? I think we're suppose to be using the book from Math Investigations for Math this semester. I have it tomorrow, I'll let you know if I "really" need it and if you can borrow it :)
Thanks - Blythe wasn't all that disappointed, although she was looking forward to a season pass to Sea World! Now I'm gearing up for a garage sale in 2 weeks with a lady from church. She's older and can't move all her stuff to my house, so all of mine is going to hers. YAY!! Oh well, wish you were here to help me sort and do a clean sweep!
I'm having my mom bring the Math Investigations book. Our Math teacher didn't say we'd need it (everything is always different out here). So feel free to borrow it. I won't be there Wed at church but I told my mom to give the book to you or one of your relatives :)
oh, i wish you could have had my teacher. he's so much better! yes, you can borrow the 501 book. I was just reminded that the math investigations book isn't mine. Oops. He needs the CD in the book, not sure yet if he wants the book back. We'll discuss on Sunday :)
Sure. I think it was 25 pages. So I'll just put it on a CD and we can swap. My friend said you can keep the book, but he would like to see the CD to see if it might help him this semester :) If you have any questions about it, I'm more than happy to sit down with you or whatever some time. They'll hopefully explain it more to you in Seminar. How's that?
I bet you are just tickled PINK over the base assignment. How great is that? I'm really happy for him and for you. I think it will be good for you all. How was your weekend? We had a hurricane! School is out, power is out over most of the city but not with us since our lines are underground. It is a huge mess. We had sustained 81 mph winds for 3 hours! It was kind of scary. Our trampoline ended up in the ditch by the house in several parts and the fence next door is no more. We lost shingles, siding, Cooper Chapel is blocked by downed trees. Church was even cancelled last night. They NEVER cancel.
Sorry I didn't get to talk long. It's been busy here. Our new curriculum is doing very well. I hope you like it. I've missed talking to you but I seem to always have someone in my car with me and I don't want to be rude. I'll catch up with you eventually. Have a great weekend!
How did the baby shower go? Wish I could have been there to help. How's Ariel? When does she come home? I called the bookstore today and had them get the right books ready to send Mon. Sorry about that.
Well, still no news. We had hoped for news today but now I'm starting to think he's putting Bruce off. Oh well, we'll see. We have to know something by tomorrow though because I need to enroll her in school Wed. So, I hear you may be seeing her soon! They are so funny. We were at a baseball game and he told her he wasn't going to be able to come and she was boo-hooing so I said maybe he can bring you to him but don't say anything to him. See if he thinks of it himself. Then he called and said exactly that and she told him I had said the same thing. Then he told her you thought of it. Great minds think alike!!!
Debbie you need to take that slide show off! If Phillip sees that he's gonna think I'm a slacker! HA! Actually they are very nice. How in the world did you manage that and school too?
Things are not looking promising for FL. He can't meet our expectations at this time but it's not over completely. They're still negotiating back & forth. We should know something definite here in a little while.
I don't have a record of her address. Can you give me a call with it? Thanks! I've missed talking to you. Give me a call while you're on the road later today.
For all of you who don't go to Amy's site, we have news. We are going to be grandparents again in March. We are all so excited. The only drawback is they will be in Japan. It's not like hopping in the car and driving to Kansas City when Madison was born. My head is spinning with ideas to see the new addition. I don't know if it will work though. I will be in the middle of last semester of classes before student teaching.
Hmmm...I just went to Blythe's facebook page & she's listed as in a "relationship". Who could that be with???? He called us the other night and talked to Bruce for about 15 min. It was funny.
Well, I was looking forward to seeing Hollie that week I'll be in Wichita but, no, she's going to Singing School in OK so I won't get to swim at her house or drink her coffee or visit. So I'm sad about that.
wow that doesn't sound like a fun class at all. For future reference any math classes you can have with Fuchang Liu is well, well worth it. He's the best math teacher I've had so far!
Wow, it has been a long time since I posted, but school was getting the better half of me and I wanted to make the grade, so my time was devoted to schoolwork. It paid off, because I got the grades I wanted.
In the meantime life went on and my second child got married the end of March. I gained a sweet daughter-in-law. The wedding was small, but beautiful. Only family attended, but in the evening we they had a large reception thanks to some dear friends.
My third child left for the Air Force under much apprehension from mom. I will say he has passed Basic Training with flying colors and graduated as an Honor graduate, the top 10% of the class, which was 593. He is not the little boy I let go, he is a man now with dreams of his own. As of midnight this Sunday, he will be moving to Keesler AFB in Mississippi for 14 weeks. The first stint of his training, then he will be going to Shepherd AFB in Wichita Falls for 12 weeks. He is not the same boy he was 6 weeks ago and I am so proud of who he has become.
After graduation we got to tour his dorm and WOW! It is amazing what he can do now. Afterwards we took a family picture with his squadron mascot, the bulldog.
Later we walked along the river and I was lucky enough to have my children pose together. This is be one of the last pictures of all of them I get in a long while!
Tomorrow is Sea World and then the long drive back to the real world of Physics all summer - YUCK! I missed the class on Thursday and will be trying hard to catch back up with the class. The trip was worth it, though!
He looks older. It just hit me as I was reading this just how much we've all grown up. I remember playing with Ann and Jay when we were 5 years old! Blows my mind. You should be proud. Love you Mrs. White
I loved this journey with your family and the events that have surrounded you this last year. Bittersweet, and I'm sure you're proud! What a nice family.
I just don't get why you have to take Physics. That really stinks! Did Blythe share my good news? We got Bruce a $64 ticket on Southwest from KC to Louisville so I'm getting to stay a little longer! Yay!!!!! I'm so excited.
