My Dad was released from the hospital Wednesday and got home around 5:00pm. All tests they took came back good - no signs of a heart attack. The EKG did reveal a small leakage in one of his valves though. The doctor said it was very minor and he wasn't too worried about it right now. I believe they are still going to do some tests to find out what the cause is though. He had a stress test on Thursday and Friday (it had to be broken up in to 2 parts because of his age & weight). I haven't heard what those results were yet, but hopefully something will show up to explain the chest pains that put him in the hospital to begin with. During Friday's test he started having the pains again, so maybe something will show on that one? That's all I have to report now, and so far everything is okay. Thanks to all who prayed on his/our behalf. |

Just wanted to let everyone know that my dad was admitted to Southwest General last evening for chest pains. He has been having the chest pains off and on since last Thursday. So far all we know is that his blood work came back okay. He had a chest x-ray but I have not heard what the results were. They plan to do an EKG today, and maybe another test (I can't remember). Right now all signs point to his heart being okay. Please keep him in your prayers that the remainder of his tests do turn out well.

4. I was almost kidnapped when I was a kid. My family and I were at a park. I was looking at some fish in a pond. My dad yelled over "Alberta it's time to go!" Then a man who was standing near by said "No Alberta, you have to come with me." When my dad saw the guy coming my way he ran over and scooped me up. We packed up our picnic and got in the car. As we were driving away the guy got down on his knees and started bowing to our car.
5. My dad's father's name is Albert, my dad's name is Albert, and he had a sister named Alberta (she passed away when she was 11).
6. 30 minutes after a meal I'm usually hungry again.
7. I LOVE grilled stuffed steak burritos from Taco Bell.
