Thanksgiving has come and gone. I hope that everyone got to spend the day those they love and that all went well. Now it is time be forced into finishing the leftovers. Before anyone offers to twist my arm to help me get started thanks but I think this year I have the motivation for this daunting task.
katiebeecant wait to see you tomorrow!!!
friedajWe are truly thankful to those of you who are willing to sacrifice yourself for that task.
lorileighI'm sorry we didn't get to see you again in Ashland on Sunday. We had planned to be back but ran into electrical work at my Mom's that took longer to fix than expected.

Not going to Church... 11-24-08 02:27pm EST
So an AOL headline, and article, says that since the election President Elect Obama has not been attending church instead he spend Sundays at the gym working out. His rationale is that he thinks the large crowds would disrupt the worship service. Ok here are my thoughts.

One-- will he not be attending the rest of his life then?
Two-- is that not the job of the secret service to make sure he is not impeded in his activites?

GO TO CHURCH MR. PRESIDENT!!!!!!!
split_rockAnd what of his wife and two little girls?
rachelwHm...Not surprised. Not because it's Obama, but simply because he is a politician. Seems they are all the same.
lorileighMaybe he just doesn't want to step on Rev. Wright's toes.

An old piece of paper I found... 11-22-08 11:34pm EST
My Granddad Turner died in 1980 when I was 4 years old. I have no memories of him but according to this paper I found I knew him....

My mom wrote on this paper "Thoughts of Matt Turner when his Granddad died in 1980"

"Dear Grandpa,

I love him
He was such a sweetheart to me
He was a good man
He was kind to me
He was a very happy man
He used to be very young
He was a very good fisherman
He was glad when I watched the train go by
He was a very good Grandpadad

Grandma
Grandma's husband died
they lived very kind
they got married very gentle
she was very gentle to grandpa"

I am glad my mom and sister wrote this down. It is funny that I can miss a man that I can't remember.

On another note Please pray for Rhonda while she is ill.
hooseThat is very sweet and sad.

mimi71I can understand about missing someone you cannot remember :) I loved it when I found a bunch stuff that had been packed away for me after my mother died (I was 18 months old then) and became very nostalgic when going through it - if that is truly possible :)
friedajThat is so sweet!
rachelwSo cute!
split_rockYour mom's great! Imagine writing that down in the first place and then knowing where it is all these years later!

I really have developed a like for turkey bacon....can you have that for Thanksgiving hmmmmmm I will ahve to look at the rule book.

My question to Pleo is "to beard or not beard" (the goat is staying)

The windsheild wipers on my car are working but they refuse to return to the down position. They just stop right in the middle of the glass. Cars!!!

I am having lunch at the Ritz Carlton this afternoon that should be fun.

That seems like enough of an update.
rachelwTurkey bacon is so good! I thought it was strange when someone first told me about it, but now I actually prefer it to regular bacon.

I don't know what you look like, so I do not know how to answer the beard question.

Have fun at the Ritz!
splitmesoupwhere fashion sits? PUUUTTTIN ONNNN THE RIIIIIIIITZ! have fun though, you're finding yourself in some crazy situations lately. if this keeps up i might need to move back home so just in case you become famous i can take full advantage. :)
splitmesoupno bacon for thanksgiving, i say little to moderate beard, no mountain man business.
pookyI Love turkey bacon too. I hate cars too. I want to go to lunch at the Ritz. And no beard...but don't shave the goat.
hooseI agree with her beard advice.
pookyI've had a change of mind. I think you need to go with the full-out ZZ Top look.
mimi71Wow, the Ritz? I probably won't even be worthy of a slight nod now ;) Hope it was fun! I vote beard (obviously, look at my hubby!) but nicely trimmed. Funny you mention turkey bacon-one of the girls at work today said she was serving turkey bacon for Thanksgiving...with eggs :)
katiebeeohhh... I would say clean shaving and trim up the goat before the RITZ
katiebeeohhh... I would say clean shaving and trim up the goat before the RITZ
splitmesoupvery odd, indeed. thank you though!

It has been a year or so... 11-17-08 03:04pm EST
It has been a year or so since I was really sick. That streak is now over. I have been suffering from involuntary reverse protien spills most of the day.

Just thought I would share.
splitmesoup:( want some chicen noodle soup? ...you could go buy some. Hope it doesn't last long. I'm coming up this friday to saturday. as long as you're well by then things will be okay.
hooseI'm sorry you're sick. :-)
pookyI love Allison's chicen soup. And I'm sorry that you are having "involuntary reverse protien spills". Although gross, that is very funny.
