Someone will always be prettier.

Their children will do better in school.
And their husband will fix more things around the house.
So let it go,
and love you and your circumstances.
Think about it.
The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart.
And the most highly favored woman at your job may be unable to have children.
And the richest woman you know, she's go the car, the house, the clothes...might be lonely.
And the word says "if I have not Love, I am nothing."
So again, love you.
Love who you are.
Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say
"I am too blessed to be stressed and too annointed to be disappointed.!"
The teenager who is not doing dishes but is watching TV, because that means he/she is at home and not on the streets.
The taxes I pay, because it means that I am employed.
For the mess to clean after a party, because it means that I have been surrounded by friends.
For the clothes that fit a little too snug, because it means I have enough to eat.
The partner who hogs the covers every night because he/she is not out with someone else.
For my shadow that watches me work, because it means I am in the sunshine.
For all the complaining I hear about the government because it means that we have freedom of speech.
For the parking spot i find at the far end of the parking lot, because it means I am capable of walking and that I have been blessed with transportation.
For my huge heating bill, because it means I am warm.
For the lady behind me in church that sings off key, because it means that I can hear.
For the pile of laundry and ironing, because it means I have clothes to wear.
For the weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day, because it means I have been capable of working hard.
And finally for the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours, because it means that I am alive.
Have you ever just had one of those days where you felt like you just shouldn't have even gotten up. I've experience one of those days today.
Got up early this morning to be at a class to learn how to "restrain" kids properly.(I work with special ed and sometimes it is necessary to restrain them because they would hurt themselves or others.) Anyway, before getting dressed(was in my PJ's)I went outside to feed the cows. Locked myself outside. No extra key and no phone. Went to the neighbors(quite embarrassing considering I looked like I just woke up). I knew they had an extra key. They did but it had been so long since it had been used that it wouldn't unlock the door. So, I had to resort to breaking and entering.
I finally got inside and by this time had to hurry to make my 9:00 meeting. Got there on time, only to find out the meeting was Tuesday and not Thursday. Not good, since it was part two of the class and today was the final test.
The sub I had gotten had an unexpected death in the family, so it actually worked out good that I was able to go to school and work. However, one of our little Kindergarteners decided to have a major fit. (This is where I'm so glad I'm an aide and not the teacher.) What an event. He's running around the room, hiding underneath the tables and desks. So, the teacher and the other aide assisted in trying to do the "restraining" (they have already taken the class I'm in the middle of taking). Well, it kind of worked, but not really. The kid, kicked and screamed, threw some dishes and then spit on one of the teachers. And he did alittle screaming in between. Words I won't repeat. Very interesting! I had the easy job. I took all the other children we have in class 10 at the time(we usually ahve 20 but the others were in their mainstream classrooms - thank goodness)and tried to act like everything was just fine. Ha! Ha!
Wow, what a day. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!
For many years I've been working at an elementary school as a yard duty supervisor and kindergarten aide. This year, I am at the same school but working in the SDC class with special ed children. I'm in a classroom with 11 children from 2nd - 5th grade. They all have some type of academic problems as well as other issues. I already have some pretty interesting stories!
Anyway...I'm learning so much - especially about patience and persistance.
