Busy times... 08-24-08 01:24pm EST
I haven't posted in a while, this past month has been very busy. My Grandmother, who has not been well for nearly 15 years, passed away. We had to travel to Georgia for the funeral. Pre-school (K4) started last week for Hannah. She is so happy to be in school, two of her very good friends are in her class...the three little musketeers. She was only able to go to school one day last week, because of Tropical Storm Fay. She was pretty disappointed to miss her first week of school, just to be stuck in the house all week. Speeking of TS Fay, we have been through countless hurricanes over the past few years and have never suffered much dammage...then Fay came. We weren't worried at all about the storm coming, but it stayed for way too long. We had 20+ inches of rain and lots of wind. The water came into our house in two bedrooms and we lost the fence in our back yard. Hopefully insurance will take care of all damage. In the meantime Hannah's having a great time sleeping and playing on the mattresses in the living room, it's like camping out for her. Jake is also enjoying climbing and bouncing around too. Jeremy and I aren't enjoying it quite so much as them though. Oh to be little and only see the fun, not all the work ahead. However we know things are a lot worse for many people who have a few feet of water in their entire house. Our damage is relatively small and for that we a thankful and blessed.
School starts back up tomorrow and our bedrooms should be fixed in a week or two. I can't wait to have the house back to normal. Thank you for your emails and concern for us. It is so nice to have Christian friends in so may places. It was also great to see her and her family Sunday morning. It was so nice talking to you and Steve...thanks for the kind words, encouragement, and support you have shown to my family and the church here. We are always glad when you are in town and Hannah loves to see Faith. Well that's all for now.

Heather
stacygSo glad to hear that you all are safe. I've been wondering about you. I kept seeing things on the news and assumed you all probably had some damage. Glad it wasn't too bad. Hope things get back to normal soon!!!! :-) Did you get my email????
bluebonnetmomIt was great to see you all!!! We made it to worship at Beaufort, SC tonight.
sponjenI can't even imagine getting 20 or more inches of rain in a matter of days! I'm glad you guys are okay:)
littlediemanSorry to hear about your wetness of house - yuck. It's good to see an up-date, though. You guys seem to be doing well besides all the annoyance of the storm.
bluebonnetmomI told your dad last night so you may already know, but Chuck is in the hospital.

Our little mermaid 07-02-08 03:14pm EST
Hannah started taking swimming lessons a couple weeks ago, with the Infant Swim Resource (I really recomend it to anyone who is looking for private lessons), and she is doing great. She is swimming like a fish under water and has learned to float this week. She went from never wanting water in her face to not wanting to leave her swim lessons. We tried giving Jake lessons, but it turned out to be too much for me to see my one year old under water and screaming. Plus he has tubes in his ears...maybe next year. It will really be nice to have them both swimming, since grandparents, aunt, etc. all have pools and we always worry when they are there.

Other than swim lessons everyday, Hannah started gymnastics this summer and is loving it. It's been a great relaxing summer so far, well as relaxing as it can possibly be with two kids. Hope you all are having fun this summer too and have a great 4th of July weekend!

sponjenThat is great! Ashton really needs swim lessons, but I dont think we are going to get around to that this year! Happy 4th:)
tbosorioYay for Hannah! Happy 4th to you too!

Hi everyone! 06-22-08 01:33pm EST
I'm finally joining the world of Pleonast and not really sure of what I'm doing. I can't wait to hear from old friends and stay better connected to everyone. Quick update on the past almost 10 years...I'm married to Jeremy Schwarz, for over 6 years. We have two children, Hannah (4) and Jake (1). Life is good. Can't wait to hear from you all.
littlediemanHey there, Peeps! Missed you so much! Lots to catch you up on!
