Thanks to all that told me happy birthday - Many of you may not have known that it was #50. I don't feel any different (at least not yet). My outlook on aging has always been - and probably will always be (I hope) that this is a new experience and maybe.... I can remember how old I am for the current year. Anyway, I am now FIFTY! There I said it! Do you think that if I keep repeating it that I will: 1- start acting 50 2- remember how old I am or 3- just carry on with life as usual. I think that I vote for #3.
After looking at Becky's entry and picture of Nolan - it makes me remember how great my blessings are.
One way to help me "take a deep breath" is to have my personal pictures rotate onto my screen saver. It refreshes my day, my outlook on life and reminds me of my blessings. So amid a day of business I can stop and smell (see) the roses of my life and those around me that I love.
Thanks for all the welcome to Pleo - could ya'll please let me know your names... I can't add to my list if I don't know who you are - Some I can figure out... phillipmhunt - I see you Phillip and you too Mark Roberts and I figured you out Amanda - who's almost more excited about the baby than I am
I totally agree.. this is a blog site.. not a site for anonymity..by way of naming yourself from some inside joke that happened 10 years ago and no one but 2 people have a clue as to why you are calling yourself by that name... Then all the people who want to get in touch with you have no way of knowing that what you are blogging actually pertains to them or what they want to know about you..
Hello...this is Meghan Hunt, you know from church, married to phillipmhunt, kind of short, round around the middle ;), mom to Taylor, daughter-in-law to your long time pals Jon and Regina...know me yet?? :)
Hi to Everyone - Sorry it took soooo long to log back in - but someone forgot her password (boy-o-boy) It's nice to know that people will actually send me a message - I do have friends!! :)
Well..., Another Christmas is past - It seems that a good time was had by all that came to our house - 28 to be exact! Have you noticed how much effort is put into getting ready for 2 days out of the year? Clean, Cook, repeat... and then poof - it's finished in 6 hours. And have you notice how those 2 chipped dished keep coming up to the front - waiting to be used?
We didn't get to make it to church tonight - David's latched on to a little "bug" so we studied Deut. 11 and 12 - and I am reminded exactly how the human population keeps repeating itself. Find God, hold on to God, things go well, then forget God, let go of God and things fall apart. Why do we continue to repeat this terrible cycle? It seems that God created the original record player when he created the world and we humans seem to be the record - just one wrong movement of the needle and we are scratched and out of our groove - But thankfully we get more chances to play our music right - I am thankful that God is a forgiving God.
Well, this is the second (first) time that I've typed this. (I didn't know you had to push the add entry box and typed 2 paragraphs and poof it was all gone)
Anyway - I'm on vacation right now and I'm just a little bored - no one is around, David is at work, Beck's been at work, Sandy's at work.... common theme here isn't it? And I find that I have sooo much to do around the house that I really don't want to do any of it! Christmas is comming and I really should be cleaning ect. and I just don't want to.
Counting my blessing's.... I'm gonna be a granma - Becky and Kyle are going to present us with a beautiful baby boy (I can hardly wait) Josh has gotten his bach degree and continuing on with his masters, Marla's now an American citizen and is finishing up on her masters in law, Justin and Kristen are married now for about 6 months and we now have a new "grandpuppy", Hunter (he's really cute). David has been at his new job for about 4 months now and is really pleased with the atmosphere not so much the money but - it's nice to have my happy husband back. The Almighty has answered my prayers in so many way that the list of my blessings would go on and on.
Hi Gena! Welcome to pleo! I'll come clean your house if you'll come wipe Samantha's nose and convince Patrick that coughing isn't the end of the world. :)
