That's it. It is my escape. I can sit in the middle of a room with my kids playing and read and they are glad I am there. I am about to start on the twilight series. I plan to read as much as I can while we are in Oregon over the Thanksgiving Holidays.
Anybody have reading recommendations? Nothing too heavy.
(1) Oppose Obama, Not America:
(2) No Chicken-Hawking:
(3) Don't Question The Verdict:
(4) Don't Blame The Voters:
(5) Don't Get Mad, Get Even:
(6) We Play For 2010, Not 2012:
(7) Prioritize:
a. Things we are prepared to go to the mat to stop
b. Things we want to force the Democrats to commit themselves to so we can take the dispute to the voters
c. Things, however modest, we actually think we can accomplish even with the Democrats in power
d. Things we want to propose as positive agenda items even knowing they'll go nowhere, to lay out our own roadmap for the future.
(8) Watch Your Budget:
(9) Grow A Thick Hide and Get Your Taxes in Order:
(10) Buy More Life Insurance:
Well, at least if, like me, you live or work in a city that's a top terrorist target, and have roots too deep to leave. Our risk tolerance will have to go up.
(11) Pray:
(12) Get On Living:

"the proper role of government from a classical and biblical perspective: to preserve order (which includes restraining evil), and to promote justice." - Charles Colson
So I am trying to learn a lesson on trusting God more. I have been more disturbed, anxious, upset, and generally frustrated than I have been in a long time. Thoughts of an Obama presidency and where our country is going regardless of who gets elected haunt me. Here is a reminder for me...
"Do not worry... but seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness...do not worry about tomorrow... each day has enough trouble of its own."
Matt. 6:31-34
One to go work out
One to lead Girl Scouts
One to be a supportive wife when husband decides to sell and buy a car within a 48 hour timeframe
One to keep the house functioning
One to raise my children
One to serve God
One to be a friend
One to get to see new friend's babies and help them out
One to do whatever I want to do with my freetime!
I could go on forever! I am looking forward to keeping Hans tomorrow because I really have one task for the day and if I get anything else done it is just a bonus.
