To all my blogging fans out there (all three of you), I apologize that I haven't updated in a while.
Luckily, my wife does, so you've probably seen updated pics of Caroline recently.
Here is one from bath time...she LOVES bath time! Actually, she loves water in general, including swimming. She is a little water rat.
Not much to update other than all the changes with Caroline. It looks like she's getting her first tooth, she's crawling around everywhere, and she enjoys the Auburn fight song (slightly edited for the "give 'em you-know-what" part). She likes watching tv when it is on, so I'm hoping she will watch some football with me in a month or so.
Since finishing my MBA program, I've been trying to work on overdue house projects. Painting, tiling, replacing countertops, that sort of thing... I'm not really a Handy Manny so it's taking longer than it should, but Courtney is being patient with me. I love my family and I love my life.
Hope everyone is doing well out there,
ouch....glad everything is going well for you guys. Football season is right around the corner, can't wait! We'll have to catch up soon and talk football.
Yikes...truth is I just don't have the time to spend leisurely on the computer anymore. Sorry for the lack of updating. Here's a quick rundown of everything that's happened since Caroline's birth on 11/11/07:
-Fall Semester MBA classes at Troy ended
-Went to the Western Kentucky/Troy basketball game w/FIL (WKU won!)
-Spent long weekend in Birmingham with the folks and sister for Christmas
-Spent Christmas day at the house here in Dothan with in-laws
-Went to BG for the weekend for the birth of Logan Nix
-Started weight loss campaign to last until March
-Spring Semester MBA classes at Troy began
-Got promotion at work (local Credit Union) to Area Manager
-Got some new shoes and new ties (badly needed)
-Got a leaf blower and an axe-like tool for yard work (badly needed)
-Got some new songs for the IPod (badly needed)
-Shot Will Childress in the leg with a paintball from close range (read all about it on his blog)
-Got 2 and a half months' experience being a Dad
If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.
Caroline is doing great...she is getting big, eating good, and sleeping good. In the last couple weeks she has really started responding to people, and she gives a lot more smiles and good reactions now. Thank the Lord for the blessing she has been in mine and Courtney's life. God is good.
I couldn't completely picture you shooting Will in the leg and laughing at him. Pretty good story. And I'm glad to hear that everything is going well for your family.
Hey so I was at the grocery store lastnight and as I was checking out I decided to buy some gum....that's right...I got myself some LEBRON bubblicious pink lemonade flavor....Yeah!
She should be born on Sunday, November 11, sometime.
Courtney is at the hospital with her mother now, and I am wrapping up a couple things at home, and about to head back to the hospital for the long haul.
We are both very excited.
Your prayers will be appreciated!
I'm gonna be a daddy...scary...
Good weekend so far...Auburn won and we got some more work done around the house getting prepared for Caroline's arrival. Her due date is exactly one month from today...that means that starting tomorrow, anyone who asks "when is the baby due" will be answered with "LESS than a month"...aaaahhhh! Scary...
But the time has flown by these last several months. I finished up my 7th MBA class last week, am halfway through my 8th, and start my 9th next week. Hopefully, by December 12th, I will be done with those, and will only have 3 classes left for my MBA program. I hope to be able to knock those out in the Spring if at all possible, but if not, I can stretch it out a little. We'll see.
Anyway, I'm ready for the baby to come, ready for school to end, and ready to go to bed now. Good night.
