Tyler had a wonderful first birthday party! He liked the icing on the cake and didn't make too big of a mess. He got lots of books and fun new toys! I'm kinda sad the party is already over. I looked forward to it for so long. We put the tree up this weekend. Christmas seems like a long way away still for some reason.
There are so many things I love about fall. I love to see the trees changing color. I love to put on my favorite soft sweatshirt and pull out the warm clothes but most of all I love to drink hot chocolate!
There's alot be thankful for this Thanksgiving. I know that Tyler has changed my life dramatically, but just everything with the economy too has opened my eyes to how spoiled I am. I take a lot for granted and expect alot. Just being healthly and safe is what is most important.
I am counting the day until Tylers birthday party next week. His bday is not until the 30th but with the Thanksgiving holiday we are celebrating a couple of days early. Well and then there is my birthday too next Thurs. That's not so important but Matt is taking me to eat at the best restaurant in town so that will be a treat!
So, I think I am addicted to ebay. There's nothing like the feeling of getting a really good deal on something. Ebay is not as good as a yardsale though. I am kinda yardsaled out for the year. We are going to a friends preview tomorrow night though. So I guess we might start going to some auctions since there are no yardsales in the winter.
I only lack about 5 Christmas gifts and a few stocking stuffers. Not spending as much this year so it's definately the thought that counts and just being with friends and family. I love putting up the tree and wrapping all the gifts. I could do that as a side business seriously! I usually put up my tree, my moms, my grandma's (if I am there for T-giving) and my mother in laws. So maybe I need to do it as a side business. Hum. A thought...
You all have a lot going on, but sounds fun! I love getting the xmas stuff out too, but then I dread putting it all up. I've gotten several things off Ebay. I get Blair alot of her Gymboree clothes off Ebay...and some speciality things. Hugs and kisses to sweet Tyler. I can't believe he's already one!
I just got an Ebay account today...I know, I'm a bit behind.
I love decorating for Christmas too, and am close to being finished with all my gifts. It's a good feeling.
I am kind of addicted to ebay, too - the emails go to Craig's email account, so he always sees what I bid on, and I'm always outbid because I'm so cheap. :) I just got my baby bedding off eBay, though, and we got brand new Bible Outburst. I agree about Thanksgiving. I'm so excited for the holidays this year! I think a lot of people are "taking it easy" on the Christmas gifts, but it doesn't seem like anyone will care - I think we all enjoy being together most of all. Happy early Birthday. :)
You are good about doing anything just about HB! I know that for a fact too..
I so cant wait to start serching for yours & Tylers gifts soon & spending time with all of y'all together for it all..
Wish we have been able to do some fishing toghter.. Maybe next year we will have a better chance at it, I don't know.
Hope you have a beautiful & blessed weeked..
Love ya!
Yay for birthdays! Hope you both have a great birthday! I LOVE wrapping presents and making them look all pretty. I do a lot of giftwrapping at work and it is kind of nice to step away from my desk and do something different. Yeah, it is definately going to be a low key xmas here too. A good year to really focus on what is truly important-being with friends and family.
hot chocolate IS the greatest part of the holidays! happy birthday to tyler & to you! :) you are so good getting all your christmas shopping done. i am so behind! i think i may need to check out ebay...i hear such good stuff about it!
Tyler had fun trick or treating for the first time. He was a cute puppy. We went to the church building and had chili dogs and people decorated their trunks of their cars and the kids "trunk or treated".
I am so glad I got to see y'all before y'all knew I got off early!
Tyler was the cutist puppy ever!
Can't wait to see y'all again soon!
Love ya!
PS: thank you for letting me barrow your dress & the earing! Everyone love it!
So sweet - Tyler and Logan had the same "boo" shirts. Your Mom actually gave it to me that I think she found at a yard sale before Logan was born. He's precious!
Blair got a BIG kitchen/grill combo for her birthday with all kinds of accessories. Kyle got her the chef "get-up" from Barnes and Noble. She's enjoyed it so much we just decided to do that for Halloween.
Tyler is taking a few steps now - if he's in the mood to that is. My sister in law was letting us borrow the walker and he mastered it and her baby needed it so I took that back to them today. I hope it will encourage Tyler to think about walking more. He loves opening and closing doors right now and pushing the barstools around. He's going to be a monkey for halloween. I will post picts. Of course you already know that. Sorry every post is about him.
What going on with me? I am trying to keep my scrapbook of Tyler up to date for the bday party. I am working more often. I have been shopping for Christmas. This is one of my very favorite things to do. I shop all year for Christmas pretty much. I was done and presents were wrapped at this time last year, but I was also in the last stages of my pregnancy. I feel very blessed to have been able to stay home most of the year with Tyler. I will prob. be working a lot more next year. My flea booth did good this week. I got some Thomas the Train stuff at a yard sale for $15 and sold it for $50. Sometimes I like my booth and other times I think about not having it. In the summers people don't come in and buy as often since there are yardsales so the winter is a better time to make money. I'm not sure if we'll continue it next year. I'm loving the change with the cool weather. It was 36 deg. last night. I have alot to look forward to from now until the end of the year. My birthday, Thanksgiving, Tylers birthday, Christmas and then my and Matts anniversary. I love to give gifts!!! Thanks for reading this if your still here. Take care and May the Lord bless you and keep you. I miss singing that in chorus!
Can you believe our kiddos are walking? Caroline is just starting to take steps on her own, she still loves to push stuff around and cruise. I think she's just a bit lazy. lol!
