I don't get online much any more since my life at Camping World ended. Now I have a life outside of computers. I probably won't get around to posting pics later. Maybe in a year or so. :)
I'm super excited about Thanksgiving. Micah and I are going to Arkansas to see my family. We only get together once a year..... My three sisters, their husbands, their kids, and my parents. Usually we get together in KY and see my grams, gramps, uncle, aunt and cousins, but this year we're going to Bruce and Rachel's house. ONE WEEK UNTIL WE LEAVE!!! I have lots of pies, bread, and snacks to make!!!
What?! I was promised pictures! You better email them, if you're not gonna post them! :) Still not sure about Satuday yet...depending on J possibly having to go to NC. Will let you know! Hope you had a GREAT first week of marriage!! :)
I miss you, Hannah, but I'm glad you're happy! I'm sorry I didn't make it to your reception. I hope to see some pics! Maybe we can meet up someday soon and have coffee...(I'll let you drive..:o) )
Congrats on getting married!!!! Your sister just said it in passing yesterday, very casual like. I was like "WHAT?!?!" But I'm really excited for you two.
Jason and I are so happy for you both! Can't wait to see more pictures!! :) Hope you're having a wonderful time...wait..that was stupid. OF COURSE you're having a wonderful time! You're married and on your honeymoon!! :D Love ya! Can't wait to chat!
you and your text messages! you're a little stinker. :) I'm so happy for you guys! You are one of my favorite couples, no joke. :) I would definitely like your address.
I started working at a daycare until I could find something else. A couple of the kids have already wormed their way into my heart. Others will probably never be there. haha. I think Micah enjoys the names that i give the kids when i tell stories. :)
So I've not worked here very long, but I think I've already found something else. I went for my first interview, and the person said that she wanted me back on Thursday. I still have obligations to teh day care, so I have to wait until next week. The job sounds great. I hope I makke a great case manager! I'll be working with children and their families to make their lives better.
Micah is almost done with volleyball. I'm happy for that, but I'm not ready for basketball or softball!! He got roped into assisting basketball or being head coach for the girls (I'm not sure which one yet). I guess i should be thankful that they like him so much!
I love when my eyes are opened and I see why things happened the way they did. It is such a faith strengthener.
Little Lee is sitting on my lap, and he's getting kind of upset that I won't let him eat my fingers. :) Maybe he thinks they're ice cubes because they're so cold! :)
I haven't taken many pictures lately. Even so, I've managed to snag a few.
Jb's wedding (Jb's mom made the b-maid dresses!):
The coach and me after his first game. The varsity (volleyball) team won! They won very few (if any) games last year. He's a pretty swell coach. He says this is his "we won" face. Hmm... It might need a little work. heehee.
My dad is leaving for Indonesia on Monday. Mom is leaving for CO on Thursday. The Hursts are on the move again! Please keep us in your prayers.
She looks so beautiful! And they're all so modest...so proud of her! Guess what happened last nite? Our tree in the front yard split in half and fell! Thankfully, not on the house. So, our tree is gone now. :( We had it taken down today. I'm so sad. The house looks so...naked. I'll post pics. :(
Have you ever had one of those dreams that's intensely scary or sad while you're dreaming it and when you wake, you realize it's pretty silly.... yet you're still freaked out by it? That's happened to me the past two nights.
The job hunt is still on. I have been offered four or five jobs. Three of those were jobs that required me to miss church services, one was "accidentally" given to someone else (ask and I'll explain), and one seemed a little too good to be true so I turned it down (ask if you want an explanation).
Now, the job hunt is back on. I have been praying, and I have no doubt that the service Coordinator job had God's hand in it, but I just don't understand it right now. The only jobs that continue to remain open are the ones that require me to miss church, plus they're about 45 minutes away and don't pay well at all. I think I'd enjoy the job, though. Could God want me to take such a job?
Sometimes I wish there was just a neon sign saying, "APPLY FOR THIS JOB. IT'S THE ONE THAT'S BEST FOR YOU AND MICAH." :) Of course, God might be giving me some form of a neon sign and I just can't/won't see it!
I'm not really too discouraged, mostly because I know I could have a job if I wanted one. God has blessed me with a decent brain and people skills, and all of my interviews have gone well. I have peace in knowing that God is in control! Some days I do get tired of living in KY, but I just have to learn patience. My BIL and sis have been great, but I'm just ready to fly south!
Something I've been thinking about a lot lately is the true awesomeness of the Bible. We have GOD's word and we can know God through just one simple book. I mean... it's God. One book has the answers for EVERYONE for ALL TIME. He has made our salvation and what we need to know so easy that it fits in just one book! Men have filled volumes trying to explain things that are insignificant. God made it so simple for us. All we have to do is to read it and write it on our hearts. Why is that so hard for us?
In other news.... JB is married. :) :) :) I'm so happy for her! They took the traditional route on their wedding day, and didn't see eachother before the ceremony. When I saw Eric he said, "Have you seen Jen?" Then, when her dad and I were waiting to take her to the ceremony (we waited inside), he mentioned Eric and she said, "So you've seen him?" The wedding was great... mostly because two of the "best" christians I know were united, and I know they will be such an asset to the Lord. I'm sure he is smiling down on them!
Micah's first day of school is today. :) Send him a text or something if you think of it. He doesn't get cell reception at the school, but he'll get it when he gets off today. Speaking of Micah... He's still looking for a place to live that's closer to the school. It takes about an hour to get from his house to the school. He has been a very tired teacher/coach lately with all the early mornings and late nights!! Zeus has been missing him too! :)
THat's all for now. If I left anything out... just ask and I will answer. :)
Well, if you have more to say and want to talk, you can always call your good buddy, Jessica. ;) Nice update! Can't wait to hear details...and about J&E's wedding. Miss you!
We're ready for you to fly south, too. :) I've also been thinking recently about how increible the word of God is and how blessed we are to have it. Don't you love it when a simple point like that hits you so hard?
