I'm not a very patient person. It seems like the more I work on it, the more impatient I become. We moved across town in December and we still have tons of boxes to unpack. I'm really ready to be "settled". Just felt like venting...
i understand completely. in the span of 12 months i moved from my house to my sister's, to my apartment in dc, to my parents and then back to my house. and if all goes well i will be moving into a townhouse in june. so therefore i have been living out boxes A LOT!
It's good to hear from you even if it's just to vent! :) Hope you can get settled in soon. I know it feels much better when everything is unpacked and put away!
I'm so sorry you're sick. Do you need anything?? I would be happy to drop something off at your door and run off really quickly before the virus jumps on me. :)
Norm and Barbara Jo Webb just came back from visiting Jeb and Shila in Mexico. It was truly a life changing experience for them,in many different ways. They get so emotional now talking about the work, there. The living conditions, the meeting house conditions, the lack of "things" was touching because we have SO VERY MUCH and can't imagine living in a concrete 2-room house with only an outhouse with a bucket for personal hygeine. But that wasn't what really got to me. The closeness of the Christians there, the true hospitality, the JOY for the gospel. Those are the things that touched me so deeply.
Did you know that when church discipline needs to be administered there, the entire congregation goes to the person to appeal to them to return to the Lord? And it is VERY effective!!
Did you know that families sacrificed their entire weeks groceries to feed the group who visited? With no concern for what they were going to eat the whole next week!! That's love and sacrifice for your brother.
I've been thinking about this since Norm's report...how can I change my life and become more giving of myself to my brothers and sisters??
Great thoughts! I missed the report on Sunday...hopefully I can get a recap from Norm. BTW, I would love for all of us to get together and watch "Emma" on the big screen! I'm glad I ran into you guys last night...y'all are the sweetest little family! I love my Happy Heather! :)
You're welcome! I enjoy watching him and rebecca (sorry if I misspelled her name!) They are so sweet and Elijah cracks me up! Haha. Can't wait until the 16th that should be fun!
Hope you are enjoying a pleasant summer . When I see your name on my friends list I feel so glad to be back in touch with you. I always thought you were such a sweet, Godly person....reminding me of your mother. How is she doing?
OH! I am so sorry we missed you! Billy was really not feeling well Sunday. He has a cold... can you believe that in this heat! Anyway, we were there for a frined 40th B-day party. I think half of Jordan Park was there! Anyway, we waited an hour to place our order but, Billy was feeling so bad and Jack was sooo ready for a nap, that we just left.
Billy's name was put before the congratation on Sunday for consideration as a Deacon. If there is no objection, then he will be appointed on the 26th. We are all very excited!
It is good to hear from you. We will have to keep up now that I know you are on Pleo as well.
they are recording on this Tuesday so that it can be played on the Jumbotron. The Braves are having them to change a few lyrics to make it politically correct... :)
Heather, just wanted to tell y'all I was very thankful to hear the news about Rhett. Prayers were answered. Love, Terse, Reese, the artist formerly know as.....
