I don't understand why things have happened to me this past week. Here is what has been going on.
Last Friday: Got sick with a sinus infection and it still hasn't completely cleared up. (it has been over a week now)
Monday: Stayed home from school because I was sick, went out to start up my car and it wouldn't start. I had to get the car towed to the shop and then they had to replace the starter!!! In case you are not familiar with cars....STARTERS ARE NOT CHEAP! I have put more into that car than I payed for it! And I still owe money on it!
Friday: We were heading out the door to go to a couples house from church and I missed the step down into the parking lot. My foot slipped and my other foot turned the wrong direction and I felt something pop. It is now swollen and bruised and hurts when I try to move my foot around too much. It feels just a tad better than yesterday (Friday) but still hurts a great deal!
So WHY ME? I do not understand. I have school to go to, I do not have a job to pay for cars or injuries! I have a massive test coming up on Saturday (my birthday) and I do not have time to be in pain or deal with anything else!!!!!
Well, I got my first sickness of the year! I am surprised that I haven't gotten sick sooner than now. This weekend was a mixture of fun and feeling yucky! I got sick on Friday and spent the entire day at school with my head on a desk, Saturday we went shopping a bit and then picked up Hallie and Tyler (cousins) and took them Western's Homecoming football game, I felt awful the whole time through...sore throat, stuffed nose, plugged ears. Then Seth and I went over to Mindy's house for her Birthday dinner with her family. When I got home I crashed. Today I went to church feeling horrible and tonight I decided the best idea would be to stay home and rest. So I was really looking forward to the weekend, but it turned out to be stinky cause I felt so sick the entire time! Oh well....hopefully this will be the first and only time that I get sick before I graduate.
I'm so sorry you were sick all weekend - stink! Hope you're feeling better today. Saw seth in line to vote this morning! Are you not registered in KY yet?
Today I turned in my Teacher Work Sample...60+ pages of my hard work turned in and I no longer have to worry about!
Things that I have left to do before graduation in December:
- Get a class transferred from FC
- Do portions of my portfolio for Student Teaching
- Write a resume
- Do a Classroom Story
and I am sure there are more!!!! Good times.
Well, this week has been conferences for the first Quarter of the school year. I am now in 6th grade, and I don't mind it. I have found that I like the younger ages better though, I miss my little kids! 6th graders smell and they have attitudes and they think they can walk all over you. I have tried to put my foot down and they are beginning to listen to me. There are definitely students who I like and those who I could do without! But overall it isn't that bad.
I have 6 weeks to go before I am finished with my student teaching, and 7 weeks until my graduation. I can't wait!!!!
That is about it for me...just trying to work hard and get through the remainder of school!!!
