Oh I am so glad it's friday! It really felt like this week would never end! I've been sick w/ a cold/fever/achy since sunday. I pushed and went to work monday and tuesday b/c I had to babysit both nites after work...and go to a staff meeting. I was hoping I was getting better...but no I woke up wed. morning and just couldnt do it anymore. So I called into work...only 2nd time i've done that in a year and a half, so I didn't feel too bad abot it. I went back to work thursday and today b/c I had to babysit both nites again. I cannot tell you how glad I am that it'll be over by 11 or 12 tonite! And I hate being sick...cause I don't have this little thing called health insurance...so going to the doctor isn't really an option unless for an emergency. I'll just pray that I don't get sick anymore this year!
Hopefully a good nites sleep and no children for the weekend will do me some good. Doug and I have a busy day tomorrow...lunch at nanny's for some uncle's birthdays. Dinner at Doug's parents house for Ben's birthday. Sunday I am hoping to get a nice nap in during the afternoon, and then sunday nite we are going to a new resturant for Ben's birthday. Very busy weekend, but should be fun:) Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow and be good as new by monday!
I know it has been forever since I have written...life has been so busy. Here are some of the things I can remember from the past month and a half...
-went to two auburn games...wareagle!!...I know...what has happened to me?? I am an embarassment to my family!!
-have babysat for a gazillion different familes about a gazillion different times...it's all I ever do
-went to Patrick's wedding
-had a super fun slumber party w/ some girls from work :)
wow, well that's all I can think of...shows how boring my life is...despite how busy I always am. Oh well, hope everyone is doing great! have a good rest of the week!
I'm counting down the days until labor day! I am so ready for a break!! Doug and I are going to Ohio to visit the Gordon's. That's where all their extended family lives...and I adore all of them and miss them so much! So, we are going away for the long weekend...so excited!
Not much has been going on. I have been working and babysitting entirely too much! I have been so worn out...made me way too emotional and exhausted (just ask Doug:). I think I need to slow down a little, I guess that's what labor day is for.
Sorry it's so boring...that's the story of my life:) Have a good rest of the week!
#1 - some people from my work were doing it and made it sound like a good time. #2 - It was $150, so it took commitment..and since I paid that much, you bet I'll always be there! #3 - I talked some friends into it and they are going now too. It's much easier with people you know. #4 - It kind of reminds me of PE back in high school where the teachers told you to do something and you felt like you had to. lol.... get it? #5 - I need this more than anything. I'm sick of trying all new diets and nothing ever working. So now that I've written a story...what do you think? :)
tomorrow doug and I are going to alabama adventure for the day. A little boy in my class is having his bday party there, and I had never been before. So, it's a free trip for the day b/c I wasn't about to spend 30 dollars on going...but since it's free, we decided to go (we are ao cheap:)
Tomorrow nite my mom, andrew, thomas, and sarah are coming in to town and we are going over to Nanny's for dinner. Then Sunday will be church and more family time. The weekend will fly by as usual I'm sure.
Oh, interesting story...I will try to give the short version. Last nite Doug left his keys in my door. He was in the bathroom and I was on the couch. Somebdy came and took his keys. I know this b/c they unlocked my door w/ the keys and then left. I didn't get up b/c I was scared they were coming in for a min. Doug ran out there a minute later. Really bad b/c on that ring was his car keys and house keys, my car keys and house key. So scared and we were both freaking out. We then staked out in the back of my car basically waiting for someone to come and try to steal my car b/c we didn't know what else to do. A good 45 mins of sweating in the car and being a little scared, along came 2 african-american teenage boys walking on the sidewalk. All of a sudden my doors unlock...they used my clicker and were about to take my car! My brave boyfriend shoved me down in the floor and then jumped out of the car w/ a pink baseball bat and said "May I please have my keys back?". The guy dropped his keys and ran off. Good news...we got the keys back...don't really know what would have happened if we hadn't b/c they would have forever had a key to my car, doug wouldn't have a way of driving his car ever or getting in his house since his whole family is out of town...bad news...now I am all shaken up. I mean what kind of mean person just goes and swipes someones keys and then tries to steal the car. There are some very ridiculous people out there. We know where they live, and we told the police about it...so hopefully there won't be anymore scary stuff going on. Needless to say, Doug felt like an idiot (as he should:), and apologized...but hey, everyone makes mistakes.
