This morning was just another morning that I hit the snooze button over and over dreading getting up. Doesn't everybody? Adam and I stayed out (at his grandparents) too late last night. We had fun though, so it was very worth it. Just as I was considering the idea of actually getting out from between my flannel sheets, Adam called. "Hey," he said, "it snowed." Granted it has snowed since I've been up, but just in the sky- it didn't stick. But, Adam informed me, it stuck today, so I reached up and looked out the window. If you're like me, this is probably what you would expect a Wisconsin resident to wake up with outside their window.
But, no, I saw this:
...and when I thought about transportation, this is what I envisioned:
But, this morning, my horse drawn sleigh never showed up. :)
Instead I had to brush off the snow so I could see anything out of any of my windows.
Scary...
But, it was actually no big deal. I just lifted my foot off of the gas 3-5 blocks before the stop signs. It all worked out. :)
Sure, it may not be what I expected, but there is no place I would rather be. :) But, you know I still wouldn't mind a horse drawn sleigh every morning.
I have never been in a sleigh either. Wow. You guys got a good head start from us. Still sunny here. We ahve seena few flakes, but nothing that you could see on the grass or pavement.
hmmm, that is interesting information (frig). I was thinking about the one with the side by side on top and freezer on bottom. I'll see if I get any more suggestions. Thanks!
Hey! We had a great time, too! Pretty soon we'll be back to renting a hall like when I was a little kid! Maybe you and Adam could come and visit us and then we could have our own grudge match. : ) Josh and I really got cards - not sure how that happened! Brian will sure feel justified in his germ-o-phobia now! Hope you guys are all recovered. : )
I wasn't ignoring your comment. The dream thing is kinda funny cause we've really only met each other over 1 week, and very little even then. I have dreams like that too. I.e. Two of my acquaintances that don't know one another will be in the same dream. Weird how your brain can do that...
I've been watching Little House on the Prairie lately. I am getting hooked. I say that it is the 7th Heaven of its time. Eric Camden and Pa Ingalls ALWAYS find some way of showing up and saving the day NO MATTER how impossible the situation seems. For example, yesterday I watched the episode where Mary (blind), Adam (blind), and some lady IN LABOR are in a carriage accident. The driver died. Of course, Pa Ingalls saves the day. I love that show.
Holly and Adam playing little house on the Prairie:
Here is David climbing out over the creek. Adam took this picture and I think it turned out pretty cool.
This I think was my favorite picture of the day.
We took quite a few fall pictures, but I don't feel like posting those now...and the pictures we took on Friday have not been put on Photobucket just yet. For some reason my computer won't do that any more so I have to wait till Adam gets time...and that certainly won't happen on a Thursday. :) He isn't even home yet!
Anyway, I talked to my dad today. They have new kittens, so mom keeps sending me very cute kitten pictures. One of them is deformed or something, but he is super cute. Anyway, mom just called and delayed my post (worth it) and Adam will be home any minute.
I agree withy you favorite picture selection! Very good, indeed. And thanks for your help with the bible class material the other night! We all really appreciated it! Have a lovely day!
Beautiful...! Don't you love being in a place where there's fall? Glad life is treating you well; I should call you sometime and catch up with the ins and outs of you. Take care, dear!
I think the picture of David on the log is really cool. He looks different than when I saw him in Sept at the boosterclub meeting, but I can't put my finger on what it is... Hmmm.
Those were all taken today when we took a walk (with my new camera that I got for my birthday).
It is the week of our Gospel Meeting. So, I work, eat, and go to that every night. Tonight, I matched Adam's tie perfectly. Black, gray, and bright purple. It looks like royal blue or something, but it is bright purple and much prettier of a color in person. It is strange to be able to wear sweaters so early. :)
I tried to convey this fall to Aaron's girlfriend Sonya (from Houston-area)! That is a really incredible tree! Looking forward to Thanksgiving and hope we will get to see you. : )
Wow, that is a cool tree! I'm glad I get to see this kind of fall every year. If you think wearing sweaters is necessary now, wait til January when it's -15. I think I'm going to invest in some wool tights for work and worship this winter.
AHHH!! So good! I need to find that tree and take some pictures of my own. I am glad that I get to see you pretty much every night this week! Have a good night!
Nice fall photos. What kind of tree is that at the top? I'd like to see photos of where you live and the city, etc. We are all happy and content here. School is keeping us busy, but we'll have a break soon! :) Can't wait until January. We haven't been to TX in about 5 years!
This weekend I went with Adam's family to Indiana to go to a wedding (where I met the few remaining close relatives that I hadn't already met on his mom's side) and stayed at his grandparents' house (on his Dad's side). So, this weekend turned out to be a fun little trip with lots of new faces. I had so much fun!
Here is us before the wedding:
...and a picture of the whole family on Sunday...
...and a picture where you can check out my ring! :)
Hey, Holly! I have been thinking of you and wondering how you are. Are you working during the day? I want to call and see how you are, but not disturb you!!!
Can you please email me three recipes for the FC cookbook. Our deadline is the end of the month. Please get your Mom, Adam, His mom, your dad, etc. We need people and recipes. You can send them to me. My email address is at the top of my pleo page. Thanks.
I had been talking to your mom before the storm about how to borrow their generator if our power went out. But they are still without power! We're all glad I don't have their generator! Have you seen pictures of Galveston? It's heart breaking!
Sorry, I though I did. Send anything you want. We are a little low on breads and rolls, soup and salads need a few but we have a lot of main dishes. Thanks. If you want, email them to me and I will put them in for you.
Hey Holly! How are you doing? It looks like I'll be seeing you at Thanksgiving! I'm so exciting about finally getting to visit Aaron's home! Hope you have a good day.
