My life has been a blur.
Only once and a while does it seem to slow down, so I can watch.
Like Friday night.
We went to a gospel meeting at a church here, and the afterwards went to a family from that church's house for ice cream.
And it was that night that I realized how horrible I am at socializing.
It was so much easier when Sarah was here, because I would just follow her around and talk to the people she talked to. It was easy.
But now she's gone. And of course, I have no idea how to meet people.
I feel so silly. I never have any idea what to do with myself, or how to start talking with someone new. That was Sarah's job.
I mean the meeting was great, and I had a good time eating ice cream and all, but I'm just disappointed in myself that I can't talk up more.
I'm not that shy when you get to know me, but for me to meet new people, it's hard. I guess that's why moving had been good for me. It's helped me get out there more and meet new people. And that's pretty easy at school, but there's something about going to or visiting a new church, where I struggle.
School is going pretty good. Its school. I'm not doing any extracurricular stuff right now, but I'll probably join some clubs or something soon. I've made some pretty good friends, which is nice.
The school is alot bigger than what I was used to, which is a negative in my opinion, but I've gotten used to it.
I've been pretty busy these last couple of weekends.
Applebutter was last weekend, and that was something new to me. A family from the church here invites everybody from the surrounding churchs to come to their house and make homemade applebutter. It's an all day thing, but it was a blast:]
There are pics on Mrs. Shelborne's blog.
The church here is going very good too. Everyone is so nice. Everything is alot closer to us too. In Tennessee everything was 30+ minutes away from us, and now it's all only 10 or 15 minutes:]
Life in Virginia is certainly new. Good and bad.
I'm growing so much though.
I can tell how much my attitude toward things have changed since 7th grade. These days I just want to live. But I'm not sure how.
I'm pretty sure that its because of a lack of practice:|
There's some much going on in my head though. I think that's why I've been having some trouble sleeping lately:[ Sometimes I wish my mind had a mute button.
Every day is a challenge. Every day is different.
I hope that your all doing good, and I'll try to post more from now on.
"Many, O Lord my God,
are Your wonderful works
Which You have done;
And Your thoughts toward us
Cannot be recounted to You in order;
If I would declare and speak of them,
They are more than can be numbered."
I'm shy until I get to know people, too. I've always struggled meeting new people and putting myself out there. That's why I married Joshua - he talks for me. :-) I've learned to come out of my shell a little, but it's still something that I deal with almost daily. It's hard work, but it's worth it when you finally open yourself up. Good luck! Keep smiling.
Keep practicing! You'll get used to it. It wasn't easy for me but of course I didn't have an older sister to follow around ;) I miss you so much! I'm glad school is going good and that you're enjoying VA more. I love you!
You will get better talking to people the more you do it! Just don't worry about yourself or how you appear, Just show them you care about them, and then you forget about yourself and everything gets easier. (that helps me, anyway)
It's not always easy to meet new people but with Sarah at FC it forces you to put yourself out there and not just hide behind her. That will help you grow. "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger"
Don't be disappointed in yourself. You are such a beautiful & sweet young lady. It's not easy for some to just open up and talk to strangers, but the more you do it, the easier it becomes. Just remember that everything you have to say is important.
Don't let me rain on your parade, you should see the movie. Even if the acting isn't the best, and there is a lot of weirdness, they did a great job on creating the WORLD that SM began. I was quite pleased, all things considered. :)
ha, I didn't realize that was Keane! I like their music, but don't know it well enough to recognize the lyrics! Anyway, good choice, glad you're not sad.
Doin good! Busy with projects around the house...almost done though! Can't wait! :) Take Note: Don't ever buy a house that needs updating! Buy a new house, one that's already been remodeled, or pay someone else to do the work. ;P I'm tired of painting!!!! :)

I'm sorry that you are lonely. It's got to be hard to leave a place you've been at for so long. I remember when my sister left to go off to FC. I missed her a lot too.
Cool picture!! I'm sorry you're lonely...I miss Tennessee too! I miss my family lots. But, if we focus on all the [+] and not on the [-], pray a lot, and keep smilin', we'll make it through! :)
Russian blue kitties are the best; they have a different personality then cats and are much smarter. :) They even like to eat real food, can be great alarm clocks (if I sleep in when I dont feel good Sophie is in there at 10am every time and pats my face softly to wake me up and then when she sees im awake she'll go back to the hallway to eat)... its cute.. :)
Awesome post! And I agree it is wonderful catching up with old friends ^..^ How are you doing? Is it getting cooler (weather) where you are? Today it is raining here but its been a while since its rained.. I just know its pushing in the cold weather and I heard we're gonna get some pretty harsh cold weather this year! ....eeek.... haha!! One person on the radio said don't be surprised if you see snow on Halloween... now that will be creepy ;) hehe☆

well, life has been busy these past couple of weeks.
As most of you all already know,
Last week, we took my dear sister, Sarah down to Florida College.
We spent about 5 days in Florida, and I must say that it was splendid!
I loved the tropical weather, seeing the campus and meeting Sarah's room/suite mates:)
Almost everyone who we met down there had to ask which one was going to college:Me or Sarah?
haha, I've been told I look ALOT older than I really am.
Sunday night, Sarah tried out for Chorus, and I went with her, and while waiting in the hallway I had this conversation with a young guy:
Him:"What are you trying out for?"
Me:"Oh, nothing, I don't go to school here."
Him:"Really? What are you doing here?"
Me:"My sister is trying out."
Him:"Oh so you're just groovin?"
Me:"Yeah, I'm just groovin."
haha!
Well sad to say, I miss Sarah terribly. This is the first time I've had my own room, and it is rather strange:(
But, for the rest of our short trip, we went to visit some friends of ours, and they took us to a Bay area, where one of their twin boys, Dusty (He's 6) and I looked for shells!
It was so lovely!!
Later that evening, Dad,Mom,Johnathan and I went to Clearwater Beach and walked in the sand. It was to beautiful!
I really love the beach, but only when there's nobody else but me on it!!
Well we're back in Virginia, but I really do miss Tennessee:(
I am, however, really looking forward to the fall here! It's going to be so wonderful:)
Other than that not to much to report.
I start high school September the 2nd. Kinda nervous, but I'm looking forward to meeting new friends!
pray for my family!
"Lead me O Lord in Your righteousness
because of my enemies;
Make Your ways straight before my face."
mrscindycoleman@yahoo.com Please write so I will know your address. I hope to hear from you. Just a few more days till you start your new school, huh? How big is it? I know you will succeed! You are as bright as a new copper penny and as determined as anyone could possibly be.
New week! :) Cassie got all A's on her progress report. Zac too! Christina is doing a LOT better with her schoolwork too. Now if we could just get Cassie's little dog house-trained...keeps going on Zak's bed!!!! UGH!
I got your message, how are you liking VA? How is school going for you also? Make any new friends yet? Is it a public school or Christian school? how's the family? Liking your new church?
Hey glad to know everything's going alright. I saw on myspace that your birthday is tomorrow! SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! LOL, what I'd give to be your age again- those were the good old years. :-P Take care.
We had such a great time; it was awesome hearing detailed story about my parents meeting and seeing the house (my parents should us years ago tho I was younger and forgot what it looked like)... and my time with my parents--especially with one on one time with momma-- was wonderful!! :) Thanks for your comment!
