Actually mom went into emergency surgery around 9am EST for her nose. We don't know anything more than that at the moment. I am sure maria will post something when she hears more.
This morning I woke up early to go out riding as I am prone to do. I stepped out a little before 7 am (in Tampa). To my extreme delight the air was cool, fresh, and breezy. It was amazing. Later on my commute to work, again the coolness and shining sun combined to produce in me a joy I have not felt in several months.
What a wonderful gift God gives to his children. Count yourself blessed if you are outside and living in Tampa today!
A friend brought up this example to me concerning the danger of misrepresentation of statistics:
Did you know most people have an above average number of feet? It is true! Don't believe me? Imagine our world is made up of 10 people, 9 of which have 2 feet. Sadly the 10th person stepped on a mine back in 'nam and has only 1. So...
avg = (2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+1)/10 = 1.9
So if you have 2 feet that is above the average of 1.9. Congratulations!
In that case you would be average, according to our statistics. I had to post that, what a great illustration of the power of statistics. Good to remember for election year.
