Twilight was pretty good. I think it would have been better if I hadn't read the book already. It takes all the suspense out of it! But I though it was good. I'd recommend it :)
On to other news, I had to work today and tomorrow, so I'm in town alone while all the fam goes to see other family. :( Atleast I got paid double time and a half today :) I'm debating going to Hamilton after work Saturday night and for Sunday, but I haven't decided yet. So we'll see.
Hey I just saw it tonight....now, I haven't read the book or anything, so I had NO IDEA what to expect. It was more creepy than I expected!!! But it was good. I liked it. I might even try to read the book now.
God was thanking you for driving to Stephenville to be with Chad on his birthday, and to be here for the first day of our gospel meeting. :) Thanks for coming Chris, it was good to have you "home"!
That would be hilarious if I had pictures of tons of bacon and cheese and meat patties and then like a little figurine climbing it, then a picture of the words you sent me from the wrapper! BUT, I think my professor might not share the same humor we do...lol!
Oh brother, I can barely tell what it is, that picture is so small. That's whay I picked a little thing. Here in a few weeks the picture will look more like a baby and less like an alien. :)
One of the guys here at Killeen church has read the Twighlight book too and is coming to see the movie with us on Sunday. Jesse is going to watch the movie with us too! Hey, you could come to Killeen & watch it with us too :)
I didn't end up seeing Bond on the weekend, but I did see it Tuesday night. The storyline could have been a bit more cohesive. I think I'll skip seeing Twilight Friday night. Thanks for the invite though.
First off, a question, which could make the rest of my post irrelevant if it exsist: Is there a website where you can search for local gospel meetings? I've been wanting to try and go to more but I never seem to know when or where they are soon enough in advance to plan for them. So, if there is not, I think there should be one. Here's my idea. First, compile a list of known sound church websites. Then, scan these websites weekly (or more often if need be) for updates on gospel meetings. Also, keep in contact with churches without websites by calling every now and then, or giving them your contact info so they can contact you when they plan a meeting. Then, keep an updated website, blog, or list somewhere so everyone can go to one place for all the information. I guess this would have to start off as a regional thing (like keeping up with central Texas), but I guess could potentially get bigger. What are your thoughts, ideas, concerns, or inputs? Maybe this already exsists and I don't know about it, but if not, I think it would be awesome.
It seems like I've seen something similar to that on the pleonast groups thing, but I might be thinking about something else. That would be a good idea though!
I wouldn't have a clue how to do it, but that would be nice. But, I will start this off by mentioning we have a gospel meeting starting next Sunday, Nov.2 (Chad's birthday!) with Rickie Jenkins from Dallas. Would love you and anyone else to come!
FindTheChurch.com has a map with different churches listed. It might be a place to start. They don't specifically list gospel meetings, but they do list the churches' websites if they have a site. Good luck if you do try to get a meeting website going!
So Rett pulled up the SNL clip and I was crying laughing so hard (thinking about the one you guys did). Heather asked tonight "that video chris and them did was kind of weird"...so I pulled up the video and she was crying too. you should post the video somehow.
thats a REALLY good idea!! oh yeah and I've been to that ^ site (findthechurch)before!! hey if you do end up putting something together and need any help let me know homez! (i dunno what i could do specifically but ill try to help somehow haha)
Hey everyone! Work is going good so far! I ended my 3 weeks of training in the classroom and now I'm in a store. For the next week and a half I'll be in the Sunset Valley store which is off Brodie and 290. It's a fun drive back and forth from Cedar Park, let me tell ya. Now on to other things...
I got this service through Verizon called VCast Music with Rhapsody. Some of you may be familiar with it. So basically for a certain amount per month, you can download unlimited music to your computer, then transfer it to your phone. I think it's pretty awesome, but kind of overwhelming trying to pick out all the good songs. So, here is what I want everyone to do that reads this: List your top 3 to 5 favorite songs (this can be of all time, or just right now) then I am going to download all of them and put them on my phone for my enjoyment :) I want to have a well rounded music library and I figured this would be a good start! So get to it, start listing! (you can list as many as you want, just don't go toooo crazy:) )
Everyone have a great rest of the week and weekend! Come see me if you're down in south Austin!
Okay, here is a REALLY eclectic list of three: Longer by Dan Fogelberg (what I would have had played at my wedding if we had had music), Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin, and Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. Kind of diverse, huh?
you asked for it. My sister (Reba Mcentire), Jane got a gun(areosmith), Run (Emory Quinn), ? chorus.... you will never, ever, ever, get one my level ( ? ) i fiqure you know the artist
Right now: The Story - Brandi Carlile, The Hat - Ingrid Michaelson, Hush Now - Katherine Feeney, The Blood of Cuchulainn - Jeff & Mychael Danna, Real - Goo Goo Dolls, Swallowed in the Sea - Coldplay
Dan and I laughed once when we realized that the three cds we had in the car were Queen, Michael Jackson, and Elton John. What an (shall I dare say?) effeminate collection:)
so outta the loop...we listen to Veggie tales songs, "bananna phone", and "gummy bears". Resist the urge to put them in your top five....they will never get out of your head:)
"why do you let me stay here" - she and him, "girl from north country" - bob dylan, "the ascent of stan" - ben folds, almost anything by the avett brothers, "scythian empires" by andrew bird (or really, anything by him!) wooooohoo
My girl- the temptations (one of my favorite oldies songs.), Build me up buttercup- the foundations, Devils trill- Vanessa Mae (original by Tchaikovsky)
Thanks for visiting my page...Here's my two cents for your music ??? Almost anything by Boston (Doug and I went to the concert in Austing a few years ago. It was awesome.) So Long Self by MercyMe; and Leona Lewis has an amazing voice - either of her two singles. I grew up an Elvis fan . . .
Coldplay- Strawberry Swing
Imogen Heap- Speeding Cars
Breaking Benjamin- Evil Angel
Eric Whitacre- A Boy and a Girl
Mae- Painless
there's 5 of my favorite songs, each very different than the one they're next to. i do miss you quite a lot, and whataburger wednesdays with you too! come back soon!!
as far as songs go a few ones that I like are: Little Wonders (Rob Thomas), Somewhere only we know (Keane), Chasing Pavements (Adele), Waiting for you (Seal), Feeling Good (Michael Buble), and Upgrade U (Beyonce). These are just a few songs I like!
I always hated texting and thought it was impersonal...but then I worked in a call center for two and a half years and now you couldn't pay me to talk on the phone most of the time! Glad your new job is going well....tell your family hi for me!
