The Love of a Grandmother 12-28-08 03:45pm EST
The love of a grandmother is special. When you have a grandmother that loves you and lets you know how important you are to them, theres nothing like it. We as young people can forget about grandparents. They can become novelties that send us the occasional card or they can be a part of an obligatory visit over the holidays. Dont let that be the case.

If you have a grandmother that you were close to that has passed....think on all the things that she did for you that made you happy or cheered you up and implement those qualities in your life. User her as that example.

If you are close to your grandmother and she is still here, don't let her guess how you feel about her. Tell her. Cherish those moments because they may be short and don't let that be a regret. Call your grandma!!!

No, i havent lost a grandmother or anything. Its just been on my mind and i needed an outlet. So whats better than good ol' Pleonasty!

God Bless

PS Granddads are great too!!!

Pictures in an Exhibition 09-12-08 12:57pm EST
First month of school is about over and I cant complain too much. Im taking 10 hours in my final semester and its going well. I have no classes on Monday or Friday, 2 classes on Tuesday at 1130 and 630, 1 class on Thursday at 1130, and a class every other Wednesday at 1130. Its great! I do have an online class that is a pain in the butt but itll work out.

Fall is almost here! It is by far my favorite time of the year. Leaves changing, cold mornings, smell of firewood in the air, and FOOTBALL! Speaking of football, Arkansas beat two D-II schools in come-from-behind victories...sad. Its going to be a long year but we'll be good in 2 years, mark my words.

Im going to HolidayWorld tomorrow! I love place. By far my favorite thing in Indiana....which is hard for me to find. :)

I screw up too much. Sometimes i think that my goal as a human being is take everything good God has given me and turn it against me. I know the consequences of actions yet still chose them sometimes...Pray for me in this area.

do well in school...enjoy the fall...cheer for football...go to a theme park...and pray for self control and wisdom...we all need more of it.

God Bless

Warning Sign 06-30-08 10:38am EST
Well, summer is in full swing and its been a lot of fun so far. I am currently demolishing our kitchen and putting new drywall up. Hopefully by the end of the month, my family will have a new kitchen, at least thats the goal. So that has been taking up most of my time.

Here's a run down of the last few weeks.

- Took my nephew Clayton to see Kung Fu Panda. It was really funny.
- Julia came down and we canoed the Buffalo River. It was an experience. we had a lot of fun but we found out the hard way that neither I or Julia knew how to steer a canoe.
-Took Julia out for a nice dinner at Bordino's. It was excellent.
-Installed a basketball goal at the Pittmans
- Saw Wall-E and loved it.
-Finished re-reading Mere Christianity and I'm halfway through Screwtape Letters, have really enjoyed those
- Played basketball with some people from the Old Wire church and played with some bro's. I did terrible.
-Worked 5 days a week in between

Its been a great summer so far and for 4th of July I'm going to KC to spend it with my gf. It'll be great.

How's everyone else doing? good?

God Bless

Everbody Knows 05-29-08 08:49am EST
This is my first week of work. Its been since I quit my last job that I have had any money so I am looking forward to the summer. Every time I come back to Fayetteville, I remember why I like it so much. It's just a cool town.

Wal-Mart is have their annual shareholders free concerts. Weeee!
Here's the list:
Tuesday- Lifehouse and Taylor Swift
Wednesday- All American Rejects and drum roll.....JOURNEY!!!
Thursday-Carrie Underwood & Keith Urban

A free show is a free show so ill probably go to all of them. I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda excited about Journey. Maybe Wal-Mart can mend the hard feelings of Steve Perry so he can sing with the band again....most likely not.

Julia and I have seen each other 2 weekends in a row so thats been nice.

I am trying to stay more active this summer so sitting at a desk doesnt kill me. So far, I have decided to bike more trails and take up disc golf. As well, as hike devils den and my goal is canoe at least twice this summer. We'll see how it goes. If anyone cares to join let me know!

Well better get back to work. Hope everyone is doing well.

God Bless

The Ascent of Stan 04-21-08 08:37pm EST
Well, its been a while since I posted. School has been chaotic. Since the last post I have gone home for Spring Break with Adam, gone to Thunder Over Louisville and froze, and has school kick my butt. Here's the due date schedule:

1) April 25th, Retail Plan for Retailing-I had to build a store from the group up and present a retail plan for its first 3 years. Its called The Linen Trading Co. ready to get it over with!

2) April 28th, Final Presentation for Managerial Economics- I have to make a presentation on Incentive Pay Programs. YUCK!

3) April 29th, Final Bank Report for Finance-I have to do a final report for my make believe bank. exciting!

4) April 30th, Group Paper due for Organizational Behavior- I have do give surveys and write a paper on them.

5) May 2nd, International Marketing Research Paper about the US trade relations with South Korea. fun!

So...that's why I havent posted.

Some good news is Im taking a summer class so less work this fall AND I might get my sumemr job to count as an internship which means even LESS classes this fall. GREAT!

I want to graduate so I feel like I've made progress but I dont wanna graduate because that means I've got to start making real life decisions...CRAP!

I hope everyone is doing well. Leave encouragements or slaps in the face below. Either one is fine. I probably need both. Thanks

God Bless

Micah 7:18-19

Who is a God like you,
who pardons sin and forgives the transgression
of the remnant of his inheritance?
You do not stay angry forever
but delight to show mercy.

You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea
imelgringoreal life is better than school... nobody can give you an f for what you do at work. they can just fire you
rachmarieAscent of Stan...I love that one. Joel, I'd take the F...I'm sure being fired is a little more stressful.
rachmarieAnd good luck on all your finals stuff, Mr. Nabors!
theycallme_paulThose coords (airplane talk) put me right smack dab in College Station, Tx!
rosemaryi'm sure all stuff turned out/will turn out just fine! it is a little scary to graduate...i will be the 10th
