It seems to always be some big medical crisis (others or my own) that pushes me into another dimension of cyberspace. The first huge event was when a dear friend had cancer and was in a hospital in a distant state for almost two months. I had to have my own email address to get updates that her husband so faithfully sent to all their friends. This is a much less serious situation, but has affected my life greatly especially over the last three weeks when I had surgery on my mouth and jaw to correct malformations that were causing me many problems for years. I first had to wear braces for a year to get my teeth in position for all of this "correction". It's sad that often the more encounters you have with doctors, the more you understand the term "practicing" medicine. I guess I expect them to have all the answers and explanations for all my questions and difficulties and they just don't. Or maybe they just don't want to share or in a hurry for the next patient or the weekend or whatever. Anyway, I may be singing their praises when this is all behind me!! I have enjoyed Pleonast during these weeks of mending (liquid diets and this medication seems to sap my energy to accomplish many things) and decided to join the ranks instead of just stalking all of your sites. Thanks for the humor, philosophical ramblings and especially the spiritual stimulation you have all provided unknowingly. With a little help from some friends who got me started and knowing whose page to go to in order to find others that I know , you have helped get me through a few rough weeks. Looking forward to doing some talking back now!!

awww...I'm glad your boy got to comment before me! The food definitely was tempting, so I'm sure you were better off staying in the other room to avoid the temptations! We should get together and chat sometime!
I loved seeing Sarah at the airport too! I forget, when does Charlie come back? I'm glad you are on here! Would love have you over for dinner next time you are in town. Oh yeah..and how are you from the surgery? sure missed you in Auburn!
Oh yeah, the male flight attendent did seem to like the lady sitting next to me, we were in the exit row and he kept stopping by for a visit, he even sat in her lap at one point....I think they spend too much time on the plane!
