So far I've made Russian Tea, Cranberry Salad, Toffee apple dip and then I sliced a bunch of apples to go with it, and the finally a variety of truffles. Whew...
I was at it all day! We're doing potluck at my house. Today I made Cranberry Salad, Broccoli Salad, Deviled Eggs, and Pumpkin Pie Bars. I'm also making German Chocolate Cake and Mac & Cheese, but doing those tomorrow since I ran out of fridge space!
Mom and I cooked all day yesterday. We made cranberry salad, dressing, sweet pot. casserole, veg-all casserole, banana pudding squares, and sweet pot. pie. I am so glad I got it all done yesterday....I can relax today.
Maura and I went to see Wade today and he looks very good. He may even be able to come home soon. They have been running tests on his heart due to swelling in his legs. Thats about all of the new info I have at the moment.
Jeff's dad has been admitted to St.Vincent's Hospital with complications surrounding the pneumonia he has had for about a month now. Please keep him and the family in your prayers.
Regardless of what happens tomorrow, remember to count your blessings and to keep the faith that God's will be done.
I tell you my anxiety level has grown just knowing that tomorrow is election day, but knowing you guys are out there and that we are in HIS hands brings me peace.
Every time I get a new tube of toothpaste, bottle of shampoo etc, I automatically screw off the top to see if there is a foil seal that needs to be removed before I use it.
Kid’s toys come in packages that make it nearly impossible to get the toy OUT. You usually have to get an arsenal of tools to break through the barriers to get the toy and generally end up with cuts, scraps, and frustration from the effort required just to play with a Strawberry Shortcake doll.
You can’t just replace a battery…you have to have a mini screw driver set to get into everything to put in what tends to be button batteries that are conveniently in everything.
Phones don’t sit on the side table or hang on the wall; they are kept in your pocket. And, when your child plays with a toy cell phone they hit all the buttons and say they are “texting daddy”.
Conversation tends to be non-verbal, but more abbreviated words in the form of e-mails and text messages.
