We're so happy for you. I willpass the word to as many as I can at X-way especially the Cary's. Betty fell in love with you and was real excited about you expecting. Now you just have to go back for VBS and take that boy with you.
The ability to listen to me (and others) preach. The link below will take you to the podcast page for the South Bumby congregation. You can listen to the sermons from the website, or subscribe to the podcast via itunes. On the bright side, Robert Harkrider has finally returned from his work in the DC area, so half of the future sermons will be from him!
See, I knew you'd hit the "big time." Now you're not only a "pulpit minister" but are an "e-minister" as well. This is only the first step in what will eventually become JCWM (Josh Creel Worldwide Ministries). Look out Joel Osteen! Seriously, I hope all is well with you, Jana and the coming little one. Your dad called me last week and asked me to do a meeting in Sumiton next April 12-17. It will be good to see the Bama folks again. Keep in touch!
hilarious about the black eye thing ^ Yes, not a good placement for that comment! Have you gotten your ESV Bible yet? Got mine! So far I like it! esp. the color maps woven in through the books so I can actually see the places and not have to close and flip to the back and find the correct map!
So is Harkrider preaching there with you again full time? I thought for some reason he had retired from preaching-- I guess I heard wrong. Hope you all are doing well! ♥
What's the fun in that? You dress up as a 30 year old every day....why not try something new??!!-- Just put on a white wig--then you can say you're going as a 40 year old- or whatever age:):) How is Jana doing?
So, so excited for you and Jana!! (Sorry I'm SO behind on Pleo!!) It seems we're having a flood of pregnancies...A new wave of "Baby-Boomers", perhaps? ;)
that is a major rivalry but has not had the national title implications, nor been as heated for as long as Ohio State-Michigan. and it's been very one-sided ... just not as good as THE BEST RIVALRY IN SPORTS: Ohio State-Michigan!
two more years. but two years from now they'd better be good and they'd better be Ohio State or he might be out... that's not a program used to losing games in a season, and losing five straight to the Buckeyes. Tressel now 8-1 against Michigan. unbelievable.
Yes. Well, Sarah actually mailed him those- but we both colored them together and I cute them out-- he was pretty proud of his coloring on the turkey...he's too funny and tons of fun these days. Hope you guys are doing well. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope you get to eat lots of yummy turkey and dressing!! This is my favorite holiday--because of the food...how sad am I!! Love you! ♥
While I'm a diehard Alabama fan, I don't think we deserve to be number 1. I'm fine with number 2 right now. Is it possible to be a fan and think logically?
My perfect morning... wake up at 5 am, do my daily bible reading along with a cup of coffee. Exercise for an hour (either weights or riding my bike). Shower, eat breakfast, then read some more on the back porch along with more coffee. In the office by 8:30.
In case you didn't know, I really love coffee.
In all likelihood, I'll be voting for a person of color this year for president. No, not Obama. Alan Keyes. For a long time I thought I would vote for McCain, but only because he isn't as bad as Obama. No more. The Republicans deserve to loose this election. By and large they have left conservatism, both socially and fiscally. My hope is that after 4 years of Obama, the Republicans will "come to their senses," a-la what happened after Jimmy Carter. Yes, I know that with Obama as President we will have more ultra-liberal judges on the bench. That truly scares me. However, are any of us sure that McCain would appoint truly conservative judges? After all, he touts himself as one who crosses party lines all the time. If anything, he would probably nominate centrist judges. (Update: Did McCain say he could appoint a pro-choice judge to the Supreme Court in the debate last night? I couldn't tell.)
We need to pray... a lot.
I'm a Mac addict, but I can't bring myself to buy an iphone. Really want one, but don't want to pay the extra $30 every month for the rate plan.
Just returned from walking Winston (6:30 AM) and he is already snoring on the floor. My dog is worthless.
Now that we are expecting our first child, Jana has started treating me as a dress-up doll. That is, she has begun picking out my suits, shirts and ties. I don't mind this, because I'm dressing a lot nicer than I did before :)
Yeah, I know he is. I really wish that he, Baldwin and Barr would all get together and agree that only one of them would run and the rest would endorse him. It's bad enough that third parties get no media coverage without them being fractured like this.
Hi, Josh. Does Jana know that dressing you AND the baby on Sunday morning is going to be a lot of work??? She'd better stop now, or she'll be regretting it. (From someone who KNOWS!) On the other hand...if you've been wearing three different colors of plaid into the pulpit, she may be doing the right thing. We wouldn't want your newborn to be repulsed by the sight of you up there. :)
To cut your OWN grass. I did that today for the first time in my life. Understand, I've cut the grass wherever I have lived since I was about 12 years old, but today was the first time that grass actually belonged to me. It felt really good.
I'm sure that by next week I'll hate cutting my own grass :)
It won't be hating to cut your grass but hating you have to take the time to do it. When you own your own home you want it to look the best and take care of it. I just love this post because I can feel your joy.
Do you have a pretty much level yard? If so, then I think you will always love to cut your own grass! Like the person stated above-- I think after some time, it will come down to finding the time to do it. But, yes, you will want it to look nice and so you do it-- just one of things that's a must- like brushing your teeth and bathing- granted, hopefully most people do those things daily-- and grass cutting is only once a week- in most places! So glad for you-- it does feel nice to own!! :)
^ Yes, the yard is level. Just big. I was really kidding. Most weeks I do enjoy cutting the grass. It's a nice break from sitting and studying. Although, it is awfully hot in Orlando in the summer.
I know what you mean.... I cut our grass, or have been lately- and I kind of like it to. For me, it's kind of a release- or therapy if you will. Just to be out side and working hard. Wish we had a level yard! How is Jana feeling? You should post a weekly or bi-weekly baby update...you know for us nosey people :) !! ♥ ya!
As much as I hate being epeleptic, it is nice when your restrictions just happen to keep you from doing certain unpleasant chores such as, mowing the lawn! I've never had to touch a lawnmower in my life! On the other hand, I've done my fair share of raking leaves!
HOw about n acre to cut and your riding lawnmower is out of comission and it's the dead of summer and it's already a foot high...gotta cut it.... that's the summer that you lose a few only to gain it all back after getting the riding mower repaired! Remember...when you own things...they will eventually break or stop working! The joys of ownership!
yes, McCain had to constantly remind Obama that he did not understand actually saying, "Mr. Obama just does not understand this" (said it at least 4-5 times!) what had been going on in Foreign affairs and even claled him out for being more or less crazy to say out loud in a public forum that he would attack Pakistan if needed! I agree with Leah when she said that Obama is a eloquent speaker but to me sweetly speaking nonsense does not override knowledge and experience! I understand about the frustration thing....I was just glad that some one from NBC or CBS was not the go between...some one from PBS was. There was not partiality on his part at all unlike it would be for any other lg. network analyst out there!
First of all, CONGRATS!!!! to you and Jana, I'm so excited for both of you! And secondly, ROLL TIDE!!! I'm very sad that Orlando folks aren't cultured enough to care about the oh-so-sophisticated SEC stats
