I'm excited and nervous, and Praise God!!! I did it, I'm still nervous, but it's a whole new chapter in our lives...please keep us in your prayers! we will be walking on pins and needles for a while but it's what we know is best. Thank you all for your encouragement~ I might never have worked up the confidence or nerve to think it was possible without my sister Roxanne, and all my Hermanas *you know who you are* and of course without some very intense prayer to our wonderful GOD!
So you might be thinking, "but natalie how is this possible? didn't you want to wait for Jr to get a better job?" and I DID WAIT! He got a new J-O-B!! he should start in about a week, he went for an interview and physical today. and seeing that his driving record is clean and that his physical goes well he should know the "official" answer on Monday... so I guess still pray that nothing goes wrong with that!
I love you all!!
your favorite stay-at-home mommy,
Natalie :o)
Hey ya'll,
I know it's been a while but I'm trying to work my way back into the whole blogging thing. There's alot to catch up on. Sophia is 16 months, walking, running, jibberish talking, and starting to develop a little attitude. Jr and I are well, and I am still working outside the home. Which is where I'll start today.
he and i are seriously trying to make a big changes in our lives. he wants to change work, maybe even cities. and I want to stop working, or find a more flexible part-time job. I'm so ready to be at home with sophia, I'm not sure how we'll do it, or what we'll do, but I know it's right for me. I know alot of you ladies out there are stay-at-home moms, so give me some tips and ideas for ways i can go about making this happen for us. I know my husband is nervous about being the only provider, and frankly I am a little too! I know God will provide, I'm just curious as to what you all did to make staying at home work for you.
YOu know if you put our budget down on paper and take a good hard look at what can be cut and how much your spendig now working sometimes you come to realize you can quit and stay home and it won't affect things too much. Anyway I had such a good time last night. We can't stay out that late anymore though. I was exhausted this morning!
Thanks for adding me to your friends. Before we had kids, my husband and I both worked and we made equal pay. So when we decided that I should stay home, our pay was cut in half. We sold one car and two days a week I drove him to work so I could shop. We also had to go meatless two days a week because we couldn't afford the meat. It was hard, but well worthwhile. I look back now (over 25 years ago! Ack!) and realize those were the happiest days of my/our lives.
i wanted to put a playlist too. they're not as "inspired" as danielle's was, but they're songs i liked non the less, please don't feel obligated to listen to all of them.
Hey girlie!! So the baby has chompers....Heehee!! What have you guys been mulling over for ideas to make your life better? And yes I know about housing I tell ya what!! Prayin!! :)
i miss you and your family way too much. i was looking at pics of you and sophia with the kids the other day! i was so sad!!! i really like that sound!! ;)
*Sophia is 7 mos, and she is more active than ever
-she's crawling EVERYWHERE
-she has her 2 bottom teeth (we deserve trophies for going through that!)
-she is wanting to walk, she can lift herself with support & even stand, as long as she doesn't realize she's doing it. b/c then she just falls on her bottom.
-she is "talking" so much with all kinds of sounds and pitches
-she loves to eat, mostly milk still, but a little bit of anything you might be eating too
-she's starting to take interest into her daddy, i knew she would, i'm just glad it's finally happening
-i've actually started to plan her birthday party, i'm so nervous about it, i figued now's a better time than any
*jr & i have been talking alot about change. it's definately in the air & we're trying to pin what we should do next. we've been talking about going back to school, changing careers, moving away, even changing our membership has come up. On all of the above we feel like we're stuck & not really moving forward...which is more like moving backwards
-we're actually are going to move in with my folks temporarily until we find an affordable, decent place to live...it's harder than it seems
please pray for us ya'll, we're just praying to make the right choices
That's so exciting about Sophia. I bet she's grown sooo much since yall were up here in November. I hope your changes in your life go well too. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
I have a good idea for a change, change, change... Northwest COC is calling your names!! For one, Clara and Abby are the only ones left in their bible class - everyone else has moved on, and they could use a new friend. For two - so could I!! Love you and would love to see more of you! We have very thought provoking bible classes and lessons ;-) See ya when you can.
absolutely sweet! i am so excited you got this to work! i love the bath picture! i want to see YOU soon! and the baby mostly, kidding, but kinda not! ;) it was nice to see your dad and sis tonight at the meeting!
